My comments have not been ‘truly awful.’

Yet you move around this board accusing posters who criticise anything (even barely peripheral)to do with the RF - of being ‘truly awful’. I have said in my 2 posts, where I’ve mentioned Kate and William, I wish her well, and appreciate their difficulties at this time. I have criticised the word ‘juggling’ being applied to William and child caring. Apparently, you consider that ‘truly awful’

Accusations of ‘Truly awful’ is ridiculous. Especially when the accuser has much past history of being quite nasty about Meghan and Harry.

I was responding to @derxa about the shocking comments on Twitter.

Mylovelygreendress · 18/01/2024 21:42

Oh and @BrittleVeneers if I want to “ move around this board” voicing my opinions , I will . So long as I don’t break MN guidelines I can say what I want .

Precisely

I don't think @BrittleVeneers has questioned anyone's ability to move around this forum, posting what they want?

Everyone wishes Kate a speedy recovery, as a mother and a fellow human. It doesn't mean we can't question the sycophantic nonsense that some of the tabloids have posted.

And no William is not juggling anything, though I can appreciate he must be quite worried, as are the children, about their wife and mother.

Bouledeneige · 18/01/2024 22:52

Oh dear. We are their subjects after all. Long may they rein over us. And god bless their gallstones and prostates.

The DM is absolutely comedy gold at the moment. They have gone full blown genuflection to the floor. As if all of the Middletons, ( 4 adults, two of whom have even younger children) are going to drop everything to support William and his 60 staff to care for 3 school age children! Now they are campaigning for more Royals because a slimmed down Monarchy means a couple of them going to hospital means some ribbon cutting and handshaking will have to be postponed. Charles isn't at deaths door. He's having a routine old man procedure. William is next up. He can make a couple of phonecalls while toiling away at the stove trying not to burn the chicken nuggets while he's cooking the chips for the kids tea!

Absolutely Brittleveneers it’s really tedious being accused of lack of compassion when you don’t happen to agree with a monarchy. It’s as though people can’t understand it’s totally possible, at one and the same time, to have compassion for a fellow human and mother but object to their professional role. The two things are not incompatible! Nor is it “vile” to express a different opinion.

And no, sorry op, they may appear to be a model family but I suspect they are a family like any other.

Agree about the ludicrous press coverage btw! 😃

And 😂😂😂 about Prince William and the chicken nuggets!

lemmein · 19/01/2024 13:46

The fawning over this family is mind-boggling.

Do you wear mittens OP?

I feel sorry for the writer losing a sister so recently. She’s obviously upset about her sister

But the news headline ‘Britain Rallies’ ??? The drama!

Umm… Charles isn’t even in hospital yet, is he?

Fringepolitics294 · 19/01/2024 13:59

Bring back Hazza! Your country needs you. All is forgiven! 😃

They shouldn't be allowed to publish shit that makes us all look like bootlicking serfs to the world- it's fucking embarrassing!

Sparklybutold · 19/01/2024 15:10

I find it abhorrent that Kate's surgery woes is being reported at the same time as so many other actual atrocities. Kate and her like receive the best of everything. If that was us plebs we'd be put on the waiting list and would be booted out within 1 day. I find it nauseating that people pine over this privileged and out of touch family.

Serenster · 19/01/2024 15:35

Thankfully Willy has found time to visit her on the other day in his super car.

A perfect example of why royals cannot win.

“If William is such an environmentalist why doesn’t he drive an EV?”

William drives an EV

”Not that EV”

🤣🤣

Back2front · 19/01/2024 15:54

The rest of us wouldn't have a GP appointment yet.

I wouldn't criticise anyone who drove an EV... I wish more of the Royals would. And avoid the helicopters.

upinaballoon · 19/01/2024 17:24

William won't be making the chips. Charlotte and Carole will.

GreenClock · 19/01/2024 18:40

Liz Jones is an oddball.

redheadsaregreat · 19/01/2024 20:06

@cerisepanther73 she also had nasty experiences at one particular boarding school,
in which "mean girls" targeted her, cause they were just simply envious of her being whats known as a " all rounder" as in being academically bright intelligent and sporty and also acctractive looking,

Good grief is this what she said. ...'I was bullied because I was bright, sporty and good looking.....'
🙄

Christmasnutcracker · 19/01/2024 20:56

Kate hasn’t made a public appearance since she joined the rest of the royal family for their annual Christmas walk to church near the Sandringham Estate. According to the Telegraph, Kate was not rushed to the hospital but aides were still planning for her trips and future engagements as recently as the end of last week.

It is concerning that she hasn't done any 'work' since 'going to church at Christmas' and nobody has noticed let alone missed her.......

I agree that she and Wiliam are workshy but of course nobody wishes the woman any ill health.

Princess of Wales in hospital for abdominal surgery as King Charles to have prostate treatment

Buckingham Palace announced on Wednesday that the King required treatment for an enlarged prostate, just 90 minutes after Kensington Palace revealed that the Princess of Wales had undergone abdominal surgery.
