Wishing, Princess Kate a speedy and full recovery from me and my family.
Looking forward to Kate and William doing their bit for the UK soon.
A great family that is adored around the world.

i wish someone hadn't mentioned billy idol. I now have white wedding in my head.

We just saw him on a commercial here! So funny! I will find it.

@SheriffofRottingham But...but...but the Guardian isn't a Murdoch paper! How can left wing Marina's supportive words be dismissed as a right wing media conspiracy? Does. Not. Compute.

Her only mistake is to say it is royalists fueling the frenzy. It's quite the opposite.

She also says this:

The king’s cancer treatment and the Princess of Wales’s convalescence from abdominal surgery have come at the same time, and social media is awash with the type of bizarre and brutal conspiracy theories in which so many of the #BeKind contingent specialise.

We all know who these hypocrites are.

@AliceOlive

No I won’t ’unclench’ about children in the uk cold and hungry while billions are hoarded by the Windsors
And if you want to talk about health , they all have instant healthcare- no waiting for weeks on the NHS

If all the royals disappeared tomorrow, that would not solve these issues. They are long term, deeply entrenched problems that have been in existence since the end of WW2 and have failed to be addressed and/or have been exacerbated by governments of all colours. You seem to not understand that the RF is not running the country and controlling its wealth and resource distribution.

👏 to your post. And she very much does not like the royals; even she seems a little taken back at how much Kate’s presence is clearly being missed. And how much Kate’s being dehumanised in the quest for detail.

Marina captures and conveys the tone of the Kate hysteria skilfully: ‘your worst nosy neighbour coming round shortly after you’ve had some surgery you don’t want to go into, even though you’ve expressly said no visitors, and screaming through the letterbox: “How are you feeling ‘down there’? I am a well-meaning friend!” Then posting the whole exchange online.’

There are any number of republics that are more unequal than the uk

Quite. You just need to have a cursory look at international politics to know that republicanism isn't the path to nirvana.

What a simplistic view of the world.

I’m surprised you stoop so low as Twitter.

Would you like posters to share the offensive nicknames of H&M - because they are true lol

This. Twitter is a cesspit. Would you like the posters on here to start referring to Harry and his wife by cruel nicknames....I'm sure nobody wants that. I'm equally sure nobody should be referring to William and his wife using nasty nicknames and snide remarks either. I dont know why anyone thinks it's OK to say such nasty toxic things about other people.

Yeah we don’t have any of those problems in the US! 🙄

But you do have a royal living there, maybe he’s stealing the countries millions! 😤

Serenster · 01/03/2024 17:11

I’m afraid William ( and Kate) have been criticised for decades for their poor work ethic

Decades? When they were at school? At university? In the army? Really?

jeffgoldblum · 01/03/2024 17:18

To be honest, it's the same comments all the time , over and over again!!
Like many over used phrases nowadays, it's lost any meaning or relevance!

It will never change anyone's minds unless they already subscribe to the same club .

All it does is make people roll their eyes and go in the opposite direction.

It became clear in reception, I am sure.

I heard he's quite po, poor fella.

That's because his father stopped giving him £millions when he was in his late 30s, and he had to find ways to make ends meet because he didn't want to spend his £multimillion inheritance.
We've all been there.

MrsFinkelstein · 01/03/2024 17:27

If the "gaps" in Catherine's work diary have been due to management of ongoing health issues (which culminated in her abdominal surgery) then it seems unfair to tar her as "workshy".

i wish someone hadn't mentioned billy idol. I now have white wedding in my head.

He was better in Generation X, whose biggest hit in 1979 Valley Of The Dolls is a nod to the novel of the same name, which, by co-incidence, is about the brutal realities of the US entertainment machine and the habitual drug use therein.

Edit: to remove annoying typo. If there's more, I give up.

jeffgoldblum · 01/03/2024 17:36

Again @Roussette ? And again I ask can you please supply evidence of my " millions " of critical posts about h And m ??
Because I get really fed up with these false accusations you keep throwing around!!!
I criticise Harry only ! And not that often and I'm never particularly nasty about him !

So either show your evidence or stop with the completely false accusations!

I'm another that doesn't think the recovery is too bad.
Personally they are just crazy private. Which is odd for royals. I don't think they need to have privacy in the same way that for example a F1 driver had. And no I do not like F1.
There is private then there is William and Kate...
I believe we should still see pics of them outside royal engagements. Example walking down kings road london or on holiday. Obv kids faces blurred or not.

Yes they do seem to protect their privacy but I'm wondering if that's about a) what happened to his mother and b) they are enjoying it before he becomes King

I apologise. I mean the million posts. Not your million posts

I see how it can be read wrong. I am talking in general and agreeing with your post and saying that the same comments over and over make me like M&H more
