William's Life's Work Is To End Homelessness.

Just seen this post about an article in the Daily Mail.
William say's life's work is to end homelessness. His father is (and soon enough himself) the largest land owner in the country.
Instead of posing with the same homeless guy year in and year out asking commoners to end homelessness surely he can carve out some of that land to build low rent flats and studios for the poorest. He never gives up any of his money for anything but is always asking. His expenses are paid for - holidays, children's fees, accommodation etc.
Or even use all the money that comes to them from people who died intestate. It's unhealthy to accumulate so much wealth without doing any work. Even doctors who study for years and save lives do not get anything close to this. It makes no sense.

Eh?

Yesterdayortomorrow · 06/12/2023 10:20

His life's work is to ensure the continuation of the monarchy.

KnickerlessParsons · 06/12/2023 10:24

KC is most definitely not the largest landowner in the country

Williams's Life Work is Generating Half-Hearted Low-Effort Good PR for his Family of Grifters.

Alt headline.

Alohapotato · 06/12/2023 10:30

I do agree with you , he could give some land but as ex homeless person I'm grateful of him giving visibility to this problem. We also don't know if he donates some money as anonymous person.

Novella4 · 06/12/2023 10:32

They are clueless . The transparent PR is almost worse than the original offence .

Charles has the sense to make noises about suing ( I’d like to see the day they go to court - notice the ‘might’ and ‘could’)

Novella4 · 06/12/2023 10:32

They must think their supporters are a bit stupid …

FuckHonestlyKnows · 06/12/2023 10:34

They could sell a tiara and build literally thousands of these all over the country. But no, just a photo with some poor guy who is now trapped into this annual bullshit.

You only have to look at the people waving flags and singing as the corpse of a stranger is driven past them, to realise that many many of them are incredibly dim indeed.

I cannot argue with this!

Always found it inexplicable.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 06/12/2023 10:53

How many houses do they own? How many bedrooms?

Novella4 · 06/12/2023 10:53

I haven’t clicked on the article but am I alone in thinking the headline is low key mocking him ?

TallerSally · 06/12/2023 16:58

posing with the same homeless guy year in and year out asking commoners to end homelessness

PW is a billionaire, who's inheriting his fortune without paying inheritance tax, but his budget to 'end' homelessness is the princely (!) sum of... £3m... over 5 years...

Meanwhile, the renovation bill for Buckingham Palace is apparently £369m, part-funded by the taxpayer.

It's worse than an insult.

Why Prince William's Bid To End Homelessness Has Raised Eyebrows

The intentions might be noble, but there's something rather glaring about the campaign.

That's what I thought when I read the website. Six sites given what looks like max half a mill on a temporary basis? Fuck that guy.

RafaistheKingofClay · 06/12/2023 17:24

You do have to be quite spectacularly unaware to not have realised how this would look.

AyrshireTryer · 06/12/2023 17:26

Maybe sell a castle?

Thing is they couldn't care less. They know they're going to nowhere. The batshit masses will slaver over their swishy hair and Daily Mail family drama, and behind the scenes they hoard wealth with all the contempt you'd expect, while their 'subjects' queue at food banks and sit in cold dark homes throughout winter.

FuckHonestlyKnows · 06/12/2023 17:36

going nowhere

Theunamedcat · 06/12/2023 17:40

We are building houses

That no-one can afford to buy

The bigger question is why is his friend still homeless why has he not been housed yet?

Atethehalloweenchocs · 06/12/2023 17:50

Whoever does their PR seems to have been picked because they 'were the right sort' rather than actually understanding how things look. And yet there are lots of people who will coo over anything they do. Whatever this shower do, they always come out ahead financially.

queentim · 06/12/2023 18:29

😂

This man and his family fly between 4 homes, while banging on about the environment and ending homelessness.

Add to that his father increases rents during a cost of living crisis.

Idiot.

queentim · 06/12/2023 18:30

No not alone. That's the sentiment I've seen
