I reported them . I asked the what the GIFs meant, there was no response

I don’t HAVE to respond to any post.

The posts you reported were not to you but an apology to @Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar and the other was a pictorial response to a post by @parksandrecs.

And after this post, I will still choose who I respond to.

It is not likely to be you. 🌱

I know you don't have to respond but we are all a part of a group discussion here and to put something on here without explaining what you mean is very rude. You could use the personal messages if you want to talk directly to someone.

You can still choose who you to respond to of course just as I am entitled to report you if I feel uncomfortable about what you're doing.

@ArcaneWireless , I'm also a great fan of little shop of horrors!!! , love Audrey 2 and the many quotes!
" son be a dentist , you'll be a success!"
Anyho sorry for derailment, I will go back to lurking 👀!

Given this and another article earlier this week I think various royal reporters may have decided that they will go with various stories they’ve been sitting on for a while?

I agree . I did read somewhere that Tom Bower is sitting on a lot of stuff which may yet see the light of day . And let’s not forget the bullying report .

Maireas · 11/12/2023 08:58

cocolocopocos · 11/12/2023 08:27

That whole book is a veritable cabinet full of double-edged swords

Love it 😄 !

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 11/12/2023 08:58

@Rockybooboo This is the 4th thread of a very long discussion we have been having, which you have just chosen to enter very recently, and posters are going to post things you might not understand. I'm aghast that you would ask for posts to be deleted, just because you don't get them and they make you uncomfortable - are you the only person that counts on these threads? You said to me, when I said I didn't know what you were talking about in one of your posts, to look it up on google. I suggest you do the same and stop policing other peoples' posts.

Someone up thread suggested the bullying report might be accidentally left on a train.

That did make me laugh.

I would like to hear more from Tom Bower.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 11/12/2023 07:15

With regard to your username. Is it referring to Meghan or yoursel?

Definitely myself, I can't put the recycling out without one of the bastards snapping me in my PJs.

Stop offering them your milkshake then

Maireas · 11/12/2023 09:00

@Rockybooboo people don't have to explain memes, that's the whole point of them.
We had a whole thread of them once, they were mostly very funny!
The ones involving the dog bowl debacle were particularly amusing....

Maireas · 11/12/2023 09:02

Have you read the Tom Bower book, "Revenge" @NovemberAutumn ?
It's most interesting. He has been very clear that Meghan and Harry should challenge him if there are any false stories in it. Tumbleweed....

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 11/12/2023 09:03

Wow, victim blaming much!

Well that incident, if true, is racist, ageist but most of all very, very elitist.

Markle and her friends were “insulted,” per the US Sun, when the palace suggested “the Queen’s attendant” assist her — which Scobie notes was likely due to a “lack of Black or other non-white staff” in “relevant senior roles.”

I have seen comments before, that her only black friends are those is high places, Serena, Oprah, Tyler, and plenty of assumptions around that. I think if that story in Omids' book is true it really does paint a picture of her that is not all that savoury. (disclaimer, I will take it with a pinch of salt until it is confirmed elsewhere )

Omid Scobie places late Queen into racism row over Meghan’s black equerry

WRITER Omid Scobie has placed Queen Elizabeth II in the racism row. He suggests Meghan was insulted at Palace aides assigning Her Maj’s black equerry to make her “feel comfortable”. In his book End…

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 11/12/2023 09:09

But royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Sun on Sunday: “If Scobie’s account is correct, she was offered Lady Susan Hussey and turned her down. Then she was offered the Ghanaian-born equerry to the Queen.
“I don’t know who she thought should be helping her but presumably not an equerry or a lady-in-waiting.”

Didn't she refuse help from Sophie Wessex as well? this sounds like either M was only prepared to accept help from people of equal rank to her (which limits the field drastically) or she thought she knew it all and didn't need help.

ArcaneWireless · 11/12/2023 09:16

I’m another waiting for reports to be left on public transport.

Maybe in a natty little briefcase. Full circle.

As for the recent revelations? Hear hooves - think horses. Not zebras. Or donkeys. Or antelopes.

Some will always find offence where there is none.

OS has either spectacularly messed up or he has stuck the knife in. I’m not sure which yet. 🌱

Into who, though?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 11/12/2023 09:19

@themessygarden I agree that taking this with a pinch of salt is very wise - as with anything emanating from Scobie's pen. Having said that, though, if there is any truth in the equerry (I am not naming him, I feel like he's another person dragged into this mess unwillingly) being turned down just because MM didn't want that help (ie nothing race related), if Susan H was turned down because MM didn't want her help, and if Sophie was turned down also, then it is an utter lie that MM made in the Netflix doc/Oprah that nobody was offering to show her the ropes.

speedtalker · 11/12/2023 09:21

I’ve been fascinated by the whole circus surrounding the denial of responsibility by Scobie with a foreign edition. What do people think of the Dutch royal reporter Rick Evers on twitter (can’t seem to link, sorry) that their new edition, post book bonfire, has now ‘hundreds’ of new amendments. Do you think they might amend any future print runs of English editions, as presumably lawyers have been pouring over the original Dutch transcript and playing it very safe. But as has been detailed here, it’s not the UK publishers handling the UK version, so why only change one foreign language version?

ArcaneWireless · 11/12/2023 09:22

It is very odd mrsdanvers

Most starting a job which is unfamiliar to them need help to settle in.

It would be breathtakingly arrogant to assume you didn’t need help.

Even more arrogant to dictate who should help you.

Mylovelygreendress · 11/12/2023 09:25

@MrsDanversGlidesAgain yes HM also suggested Sophie but that was rejected as was the offer from Camilla .
Yet Catherine is criticised for not offering support even though she was pregnant/ PP and had 2 other very young DC .

Indeed. Everything OS writes serves to underscore yet again that anything that PH and MM claim simply cannot be verified - or will be contradicted - or is otherwise just rubbish.

Maireas · 11/12/2023 09:27

So, it's a lie that she was never offered help on joining the family.
At the very least Harry may have helped her a bit, but that did seem to be beyond him.

I was just about to post this as that makes 4 people including H who could have helped Meghan to learn the national anthem, protocol etc. Who did she think would show her the ropes - maybe that explains the Queen taking her on a visit.

Susan Hussey has been a royal aide for decades. She was even asked by the Queen to support the young Princess Anne when she started royal duties - that's how experienced and trusted she is. Who the hell goes into a new job in a wholly unfamiliar environment and turns down that sort of help?

Yes, there are various accounts of various offers of help/mentoring from a range of people, officials, courtiers, family members. She appears to have turned them all down, and even complained about intrusion (the advice on the necklace with the initials), whist maintaining that she was offered no help.

Now I get the idea that this sort of role is personal, and it needs to be someone you get on with. It does look however as though the Palace really did try to find someone, making several attempts at different levels
