I was amused by this tweet from Valentine Low, who has a bit of history with Omid Scobie (it was Val Low who broke the story about Meghan bullying her staff at the Palace).Clearly Omid’s not popular amongst some of his peers. Endgame had huge publicity, but….

I agree, they don’t want people to think they were snubbed, but have missed the issue that no one cares really about someone else’s wedding , but it does shines a huge light on ghe fact they’ve not addressed the more serious issue of the scobie naming. Which indicates strongly they can’t, as Scobie might tell the world the names came from them if they do.

It’s an absolute shame that Charles and Diana didn’t have a third child as I am convinced that had Harry been one of 3 kids and had a younger brother or sister he’d be much less spoilt, entitled and self centred. William and Kate are quite right to have 3 so there isn’t one “spare” but two.

True Andrew ruins my theory a bit but Andrew was sort of like an eldest child as there is such an age gap between him and Anne.

Surely the whole point about having less children is to limit resources used. I think a normal person with ten children doesn't use as much resources as H&M ie the big houses, the frequently used private jets etc. They'd do better by living more modestly.

True. Which serves to underline that their talk about all this stuff and philanthropic stuff is primarily performative (IMO)

I think Andrew and Edward had vastly different childhoods to Charles and Anne. Elizabeth ascended to the throne when the eldest two were tiny, and she wasn't prepared for her father's sudden death. She had a steep learning curve, as well as a post war country dealing with a lot of social and economic change, continuing recovery and several political crises. She'd settled into the role by the time Andrew was born, 10 years after Anne, at the start of the Swinging Sixties. I imagine she spoiled him, partly making up for time and attention she wasn't able to devote to her eldest children.

Do posh people even send STD postcards? Somehow I doubt it.

if we remove the sexual element of Andrew’s behaviour and go high level, there is similarities between harry and andrew in terms of their arrogance, selfishness and entitlement. Also rumoured their envy of their older brother. Harry did drugs, partied hard, and is not above dishonesty.

It would be interesting as a counter factual to imagine Harry as a Harriet. I would bet my mortgage that if Harry had been a girl and a younger sister to William absolutely none of this spare resentment etc would be playing out now.

I know this sounds abit sexist but I think the difference between Edward and Andrew ( and Harry) was that Edward married a down to earth "normal" woman who kept his feet on the ground. But they were all equally spoilt as children and encouraged to think they were special. Just remembering Edwards behaviour after the it's a royal knockout (a long time ago) makes me think he was pretty obnoxious when young before he met Sophie.

I also have a perhaps sexist opinion that royal females are better for the stability of the royal family than royal males. All the bad behaviour comes from the royal males plus the scrutiny on their wives / girlfriends is just too much.
if we could somehow engineer only female royal babies it would be great idea 😁
We’re going to see all this played out with George and Louis and their future wives but I bet Charlotte’s future husband gets away with much less scrutiny and criticism. (Assuming heterosexual of course!)

kind of agree. As we had Margaret. Who was kind of the worst, barring Andrew’s sex stuff obviously. Edit, by worst I mean in terms of selfish entitled behaviour, clearly harry and his interviews and books is heinous, and then Edward and Mrs Simpson weren’t great either.

I’ve never been sure about Edward and actually think he’s lazy and disengaged with royal life but lives off it. I caveat by saying he maybe ill right now, so understandable if he doesn’t do much for that reason.

This is so typical of them, isn't it? The press reports that they've been disinvited, because of all the rancour they've caused with the RF and that the couple don't want royal drama upstaging their wedding, and M&H rush out a statement saying 'We WERE invited actually, WE JUST DIDN'T WANT TO GO'. God, they're awful!!!

I am actually aghast that M and H have come out with the statement about the wedding. They do not care about anyone and have now extended their web of deceit and lies to include this wedding. How embarrassing and I feel sorry for the couple. It's just downright appalling.

And does anyone really care? They both sound like non starters to me. One a woke nonsense and the other romantic drivel.

How reliable are the sources via page 6?
If it really has come from them then they truly are pathetic.
