If they have spilled the info surely they would have asked H&M first?

I remeber a snippet of TV from my teens, so 40 years ago only the other day... I have no idea what it was about or why I saw it, I think abut how terribly difficult it is to be responsible for maintaining a stately home, something along those lines...

but I have a vivid memory of the lady of the house walking along the drive with her teenage children, all leading horses (I think they also bred racehorses?), and saying how lovely it was having the children home from boarding school, and that they had lunch all together every day!

And thinking how utterly bizarre it would be to live in a world where having lunch with your parents was a talking point 😂

Aside from during the War Of The Wales (Charles and Dian's split) I don't think it really has been a thing at all until the Harry allegations.

The Palaces concentrate on getting their principals coverage for what they are doing. There's really nothing in it for them to sling mud (as them doing that would be the bigger story)

I agree, I really don’t think the palace was briefing against harry and Megan , it was not in their interests to do so, I think harry has misunderstood, they do do things like if you bury this bad news thing then we will give you x, but x is positive and journos want to stay on the right side of them in the most. When it doesn’t work then the bad stuff comes out, like Harry’s drugs.

he seems to be accusing everyone though, the media themselves, for using illegal means, friends, and his own family.

anyway, be prepared for a pr onslaught from the pair of them to try to negate the ill feeling about not commenting on scobies revalation. Lots of happy smiling pics and charity work coming our wat as usual. It only happens when they do something negative.
