I didn’t hear of him either but that’s because I’m not really into Rugby. But you don’t find me saying that me not knowing of his career means that he didn’t have one or that he wasn’t successful at it.

I think it’s because she can’t conceive of anyone not knowing who he was.

I'm not into rugby either but he was in the world cup winning squad of 2004 so tends to be a known face. Ugly one though it is.

Tindall wasn't just on the winning team, he was England captain, and played for the Barbarians for a couple of seasons after retiring from England squad.

The member of the Royal family with the most military service is Prince Andrew - 22 year RN career, including Falklands War (reaching rank of Commander), followed by the Duke of Kent who did 21 years in the Army (reaching rank of Lt Col on retirement)

The 'ha ha ha' was in recognition of the fact that sports people are despised on here and no one has ever heard of them. All footballers are terrible unless it's Gary (hypocrite) Linekar of course.

I understand now. I’m just not into watching/following football or any sports. I watched the Invictus Games Documentary because Harry produced it - so glad I did. But it wasn’t the sport I was interested in, it was the way sport helped the Veterans, and the Veterans themselves, that kept me watching to the end.

I’d never heard of Mike Tindal until he married a royal. But I wasn’t questioning his career etc @derxa

Can I clarify the issues surrounding Harry and the documentary? He said he didn't get support but in 2017 claimed his brother helped him? Stated that the British press released his serving in Afghanistan but actually it was the American media?

@JamieFrasersfurrysporran someone posted what was actually said in the documentary word for word several pages ago. It was in response to posts that were continuously bashing Harry. Not sure if your post will open up the same can of worms

@JamieFrasersfurrysporran I copied it I think twice, word for word and no he never said , ' I got no support'. Part of the reason for invictus its to create a support network that is specific for veterans, some of the participants have talked about what receiving support from other veterans means etc so it was about the kind of support available and as he's said before, its hard to recognise what you need until its too late.

there is going to be a lot of sport on in our house with Invictus and mens rugby WC on at the same time!

@JamieFrasersfurrysporran Go for it….hopefully those that disagree won’t hijack the Invictus thread to bash Harry again.
