The trailer for 'Heart of Invictus" has been released by Netflix, and it looks incredible, and so moving.

For those interested, please find it here.

I know @Angrycat2768 Tindall is an oaf, a disgusting drunk and a creep who was inappropriate with a crew member as he began his I'm a celebrity stint. How tacky a member of the RF was on that show.

He is a boring prat but he keeps his gob shut about private family matters.

A day I will never forget. Watching the #HeartofInvictus on Netflix, I was reminded of just how special this event is for everyone involved.

What @WeAreInvictus, and Prince Harry, have done for me, and for many other Service men and women across the world is beyond words.

For me, the documentary really captured the emotion of the event perfectly, if you haven’t yet watched it, I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so.

'Re the making money- As well as Fergie, what about Mike Tindall always flapping his gums, including on a couple of reality TV shows'

The difference is they don't all spout bitterness and bile about the rf. Fine use your profile and platform for commercial benefit just don't say 'I'm a vip you know' one minute then 'the rf are all horrid' and make up stories about them the next.

Mylovelygreendress · 04/09/2023 08:39

When did MT say he wanted to assault Harry ? I can’t remember reading that and I certainly didn’t hear him say that on IACGMOOH

Mylovelygreendress · 04/09/2023 08:40

That was for @Angrycat2768

He apparently called him a bellend at some royal after party. I've no recollection of any reported 'assault' comment 🙄.

"Tea Talks with the Duchess". So there she is... divorced for 28 years yet cashing in on her title talking royal stuff. On a podcast. She isn't even still married to one of them!
Yet it's all Harry and Meghan! Ridiculous. They all do it.

Of course she doesn't knock them, they bankroll her. How else could she live on a 98 acre royal estate?
But Sarah seriously knocked 'the Institution' when she left... books, OW interview etc.

(I have to add... I wish her well with her recovery. She has had reconstruction, it takes a long time to get over)

Roussette · 04/09/2023 08:45

I don't understand comments about any of them not knocking the RF. When you are subsidised/bankrolled/can make money from royal connections, not in a million years would they criticise them!

Harry did. And could, because he left. The rest just reap the benefits so have to keep schtum. Whatever they think

Edited

The event is special and it will continue to be whoever was patron. Probably more popular as his pa comments drag it down.

Do you think The Pride Of Britain is only popular and a success because Vorderman presents it? No. It is the people featured that make it a success. Harry needs to now stop hanging off their coat tails to improve his own profile.

skullbabe · 04/09/2023 08:46

🤣so it’s ok to talk about the Royal Family in podcasts and on chat shows and in books and to cash in on royal connections by merchandising products but only if they are uniformly positive and don’t leave. And people object to calling them a cult 🤣

And wanged on that he'd been cut off financially when he hadn't. Very noble.

Yep!

Toe the line. Never criticise. Then use your royal connections in whatever way you want.

Look at Zara and Mike for instance. There is no way they would've made a six figure sum selling pics of their first baby without being a Royal ! That's just for starters...

Don't think they need to be 'uniformly positive', KC wasn't when he said his dm was cold or whatever in his interview

The thing is they don't make careers out of tabloid style gossip about fights ending up in dogbowls etc do they? Harold should apply for a job at the Sun he'd fit right in.

MissElinorDashwood · 04/09/2023 08:55

There’s another new nonsensical Harry bashing thread for anyone that wants to continue this conversation away from Invictus.

(Ht @MissElinorDashwood ) - this is such a wonderful sentiment by Mark Omerod.

TallerSally · 04/09/2023 09:03

I find it very interesting, this parallel between the RF and their loyalists, and a cult.
@Janiie puts it very clearly:

He is a boring prat but he keeps his gob shut about private family matters.

Could this be a big reason people are turning a blind eye to paedo-befriender and child sexual abuse out-of-court settler Prince Andrew? Of course he didn’t “keep his gob shut”, but as he didn’t say anything negative about the RF (and he’s not betrayed Britain by marrying a once-outspoken mixed-race progressive woman) he has remained mostly acceptable to cult members, he’s remained ‘one of us’?

So basically anything goes within this cult, any conduct is acceptable, as long as you don’t criticise the cult?

Scary…

TallerSally · 04/09/2023 09:04

Anyway, back to Invictus indeed…

MissElinorDashwood · 04/09/2023 09:09

Yes @skullbabe When it comes to Prince Harry’s work and impact with veterans, I will always prioritise and value the opinions of those who actually participated in the games as opposed to those that come with opinions based on feelings and speculations and frankly, on observing the level of extreme persistence since the start of this thread, their own agenda.

As long as you don't breach everyone else's privacy as you 'make money' yes. He didn't like it when Thomas Markle sold gossip to the media so no idea why he thinks it is ok for him to do so then go on stage and preach about positivity resilience. Actions speak louder than words Harold

It would probably have still been six pages of spread (price tag undisclosed). They like former rugby captains, and then there's an equestrian World Champion in the picture too.

There were 10 pages for Will Carling's second time around (according to google)

I think it's more to do with distance from the throne.

There are very different expectations on the DC of the monarch, compared to the DC of their younger siblings (the "spares") - most of whom rarely attract any attention, unless they are particularly good looking (would anyone have known who Arthur Chatto even was, had there not been the topless pix and his appearance in uniform at late HMQ's funeral?) or end up as general "society" gossip column fodder (like some, but not all, descendants of HMQ's cousins)
