Y’know when the Daily Mail or any other tabloid runs a random story it’s actually about something else and they’re trying really unsubtley to tell you? (Ie Ryan giggs of many affairs being painted as a loving husband with snaps of him looking absolutely miserable shortly before the affairs broke)

What are the DM trying to say here?

some interesting lines, particularly about the Chumleys staying “close to the royals”

Kate Middleton 'went to music festival' with her friend Rose Hanbury

The Princess of Wales, 41, is understood to have made her first ever visit to a music festival at the weekend, albeit a very upper-class one at Houghton Hall in Norfolk.

She has shopped at Sainsbury lest we forget (once) (tip Lidl/Aldi would be better optics if you pull that stunt again and don't forget to put a few things in the food bank bin.)

Actually Kate’s been photographed doing her grocery shopping at least 8 separate times, mostly in the Waitroses in Anglesey and Norfolk, but also a couple of times at Tesco. And once buying a takeaway pizza at a service station. So I don’t think it’s a stunt. She and William also recently restocked a food bank that had their stores robbed, you’ll be pleased to hear.

I shall bow to your greater knowledge - 8 separate times. Blimey I expect that was marked down as 'work'.

Kate is spotted shopping at a Waitrose store in Norfolk

The Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted doing some shopping at a Waitrose supermarket in Norfolk, and loading her bags into the back of her 4x4 in the car park.

Why?

PrincessTigger · 15/08/2023 20:34

Why is women carrying out domestic chores always seen as an example of laziness…

vera99 · 15/08/2023 20:37

It was a throwaway snaky remark not worthy of comment in my universe they are parasitical uber establishment workshy lackeys who I will celebrate if ever they are removed from our body politic. Though I doubt it, so in the meantime it's good to have an irrational dream.

In the Crown the Queen decides to accept her husbands' infidelity with Penny Knatchbull and realised to squash rumours it was necessary to be seen with her. She did it with a tear but a stoic acceptance that men will be men particularly if they sit at the top of the tree. History repeats itself. Move along nothing to be seen here.

Fgs the Crown is fiction not a documentary.

As well as implying that she is just an average mum, who needs to decompress from having the kids 24/7, like any one of us Hmm.

I don’t dislike what I’ve seen of her but there is a ludicrous desire from fans to either paint her as a ‘normal mum’ or some beatific deity that embodies perfection in all things, at all times and can never be criticised or questioned.

I think that is the issue with the whole Royal family. Their fans deify them for minor things like going shopping and having cereal in tupperware. Cooking the occasional meal because it's a nice change is not hard work. The Wales's love doing ' just like you' cosplay and people lose their shit about it, which encourages them to do more. We sll know you are loaded. We all know that your ' tiny 4 bedroom cottage is your 4th house. Why pretend yo be an ordinary middle class working family?

vera99 · 16/08/2023 07:21

For those that know how to use Google Celebitchy (yes I know it's a trash site - but it is fun) has finally waded into the Kate rave story. The curious will know where to find it whilst the condemners will know to stay away !

Who exactly is deifying them?

All I can see is people uncomfortable with malicious gossip being spread about people for no other reason other than pettiness. Wrapped up in a paper thin veneer of Republicanism.

If no pic of this leaks it probably didn't happen. Which they haven't so it probably didn't. My moneys on the DM made it up / had it planted by person or persons 'unknown'. In a world where everyone has a phone with a camera my money is on her not going at all or by ‘going’ she stood for five minutes out of sight with all her security then left. Funny that this comes hard on the heels of PW going out clubbing solo....

Prince William is spotted enjoying a night out at KOKO in Camden

Footage shows the Prince of Wales, 41, dressed in a light blue shirt, holding a beer and dancing from side to side while at the concert venue and former theatre in London .

Oh no he had a night out with his friends… shocking

Serenster · 16/08/2023 08:17

There is a picture, clearly snapped on a phone, of the event on twitter now.

I don’t understand why posters think it’s at all unusual for married people to sometimes socialise separately with their own friends. Unless they never do so themselves, I guess? Which is fine for them, but doesn’t mean it’s not perfectly normal for other couples to do so.

I can well imagine it took the site’s main writer quite some time to work out her angle on this as “Kate and the Hanburys appear to act like they are friends” runs so completely counter to the narrative they’ve been so assiduously pushing for several years now. 🤣

Serenster · 16/08/2023 08:23

Based on what the men are wearing, it certainly looks like Norfolk… 🤣

I'm sure you won't be visiting that scurrilous cesspit Serenster and giving them any further traffic. There was a noticeable lag when he was deciding the lines to take - as you can imagine the 'wannabe thwarted princess' mean girls have piled on in the comments. 😀

Those talking about Pippa naming her child Rose are using middle class concepts and morals.
Most of us would not accept our husbands having an affair either, but this is commonly accepted in the aristocracy.
The Middletown are aping the aristocracy. To do that you have to leave middle class concepts behind.

asterdaisy · 16/08/2023 08:31

@vera99 Kate is looking straight at that photographer. She clearly knows the photo is being taken.

That’s a bit of an outdated stereotype! It predates even Diana, who certainly minded.

vera99 · 16/08/2023 08:50

A 24-hour non-stop Electronic Dance Music EDM festival aka rave reeks of drug taking as that is the only way anyone would have the stamina - there is a long-forgotten video of David Cameron as a young man raving at sunrise with a beatific smile. I'm sure it was all good wholesome fun.

It's looking like Diana was the last of the aristo wives of a monarch. They all gave W & H a wide berth. Too much hassle when you can bag a hedgie or another true aristo and live a luxurious life in relative obscurity. The Royals have to go to M&S now rather than Harrod's when shopping for partners, plus it minimises the in breeding and keeps the line strong. The royals know a thing about breeding having owned a stud or too.

@PrincessTigger Diana was the only one who did not seem to understand how it worked.
Affairs at least amongst the men, are largely accepted as how marriages operate. Just like living in separate houses is fairly normal.

LMAO Yes it worked that way. 30/40 years ago. Now a days they marry for love not arranged marriages. They divorce these days just like middle class couples. Just look at 3 of the Queen's children, her grandson just divorced two years ago and many more in the family.

You have a very outdated idea. They moved with the times you should join them.

KnickerlessParsons · 16/08/2023 09:27

Does anyone else think that looks like a faked photo?
