I’m off on a foreign jaunt tomorrow so if I remember I’ll check out all these foreign newspapers again
----I’ve never found anything so far.
many suggestions where I should look?

I can then report back…

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 24/07/2023 14:14

Also injunctions in England and Wales do not include Scotland. So saying injunctions in the U.K. AFAIK is incorrect.

Weefreetiffany · 24/07/2023 14:15

No internet stranger I will no be breaking any NDAs today, but do continue to develop your own critical thinking skills by all means.

Roussette · 24/07/2023 13:07

Yet it's ok to say this sort of thing and worse X1000 about another couple.

But how do you know the OP doesn’t report those comments?

I certainly report comments about M&H even though I’m not a fan and I’ve reported the one above also.

PollyThePixie · 24/07/2023 14:25

Sorry, I meant the previous poster.

The only thing that is true is the manipulation of stories to make certain royals look good and others look bad in the news comics. And some are barely discussed at all despite being totally shameful (ahem Andrew).

The actual details/ truth we will never know, but there’s a hell of a lot of people who take it all at face value and blindly fight for their fav or insult the one they dislike the most. Or get rung out claiming a faux moral high ground…(which begs the question why read these kinds of threads?) I literally couldn’t care less about them, but if you don’t think that there are injunctions against speaking about injunctions that cover tracks and limit damage then you are very naive.

Anyone can get an injunction and frequently do. If you’d ever worked in an international news org that has offices across the globe and spent a fun afternoon contacting your colleagues in New York or some such place and betting with your local colleagues who you will get to spill the beans if sworn to secrecy about the latest “celeb” injunction that were not supposed to know about in the U.K… but you don’t want to hear about that. It’s just yah! Boo! Politics and gossip after all.

You're not making your position better because if there's some sort of cabal consisting of the RF and the media to give Andrew good press, it's a totally flipping inept cabal. 😂

There are details abd truths about your life we'll never know. You're not entitled to know everything about their personal lives.

Oh, that's right. If you don't know anything bad about someone, it must be there is a superinjunction. Like the one one that people insisted Philip Schofield had that never actually existed. It couldn't just be you don't know because there os nothing to know. That's far too straightforward and simple for your biases to cope with.

I think you and your journo friends are reading and, possibly writing, too many gossip blinds. 😄

I've stopped reporting them. I think MNHQ have given up moderating horrible stuff about H&M. The last couple of times I've reported what I consider is horrible comments about them, it was suggested by mnhq I push back myself, as I'm quite good at it. Hmm
Yeah ... like I want a bunfight.
Gone are the days MN delete anything about H&M.

Harry is a truly nasty person so I wouldn’t be surprised if he did say those things. William has a lovely wife with a respectable and dedicated family, and Harry is jealous. First because he didn’t have anyone, and later because his awful wife has alienated all of her family and his.

A thoroughly and nasty post too.
Man, this place becomes ever more unhinged every time I come here.

ILikeDinosaurs · 24/07/2023 15:49

TeaMistress · 24/07/2023 13:17

I would recommend that you not repeat what amounts to spiteful and salacious gossip. Its not just disgusting. Its defamatory. There is absolutely no proof of what you are saying. It absolutely isn't ok to say vile spiteful things about people and then try to justify it by saying that because there are scurrilous rumours it somehow makes it ok to then repeat nasty gossip as fact.

Would you say the same thing to South Park?

Dinopawus · 24/07/2023 16:07

'It's the silly season and the tabloids search for a negative story on mean old Meghan and haphazard Harry have brought us.

Younger brother a bit miffed that older brother had kids and settled down^

It's not exactly hold the front page is it?

yep they don't even delete made up stuff. sadly people read it and then on another thread state it as a fact.

BadgerB · 25/07/2023 14:18

Maybe it happened, maybe it didn't. But it's useless to deny it just because it reflects badly on Harry.
We know from his own words and actions that he's an entitled brat and a multiple liar.
Will be interesting if he ever wants to be reintegrated into the RF.

BadgerB · 25/07/2023 14:37

In the rest of the world he’s been reported as the prince of pegging who has had numerous affairs. Vanilla must be relieved she’s not the black sheep

This is just not true of "the rest of world" generally, though it maybe if your usual reading is the M&H fan-girl sites. The Hollywood fairy couple who do no wrong, support numerous charities - and are probably in line for canonization.

Roussette · 25/07/2023 14:37
Shock

Yeah... anyone can make up anything and any poster can say it probably happened followed by calling him a few choice insulting names. And it probably makes the poster feel much better Shock

It's like chinese whispers, someone said something to someone who said it to someone else so this person makes up something to do with it and puts it in an article for clicks. It has no substance whatsoever and is laughable. But at least it feeds an H&M thread, as they're dead quiet on here as H&M are doing nothing of interest. The H&M detractor threads are fading fast.....

Roussette · 25/07/2023 14:39

Deny what exactly. Have you read the article? What exactly has Harry actually said in that article about Will and Kate?

Deny what though? There's not one thing in that article that Harry has said, bar one comment from an aide that Harry was feeling left out . That's it. The name calling , suppositions and "brutal" comments are all from the book writer.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 23/07/2023 12:47

It’s always worth noting that this kind of book is often based off second or third hand information (although Tina Brown isn’t exactly some downmarket tabloid hack).

That aside, what are the big revelations here? William apparently likes spending time with the Middletons because they have a traditional and seemingly happy family set-up… it doesn’t take a genius to see that might be true given that he grew up with the world watching his parents’ marriage fall apart and commentating on every aspect. It hardly suggests some nefarious influence.

Harry couldn’t see the appeal and wanted a different lifestyle. And? That’s hardly unusual. I didn’t see anything where he’s supposed to have said he can’t stand the Middletons or thinks they’re awful people. It just isn’t his world. It’s no different to my sister being a happily married devoted mother and me not wanting a husband or children.

This really is a non-story, whether you’re Team William, Team Harry or don’t give a toss either way.

(although Tina Brown isn’t exactly some downmarket tabloid hack).

It has been a while since Tina Brown had access.
But if these quotes are true, she clearly had access to the Middeltons - it is very flattering to them.

Any time the quotes are - "he liked being in a happy, normal family/ he loved being loved by Carol, a mother to him in all but name" etc you can be fairly sure of where it came from.

Every so often they like to send out the reminder that the future King is their pal.

How ironic Wink

🤣🤣🤣 and then OP comes back ay you 🤣🤣🤣

Someoneonlyyouknow · 28/07/2023 06:13

Why start a thread about a newspaper story with so little fact in it? Nothing to support the headline. I find it odd people have such strong allegiance to people we only see through a filter from the media but believe there is evidence that they are good/evil (never somewhere in between like the rest of us). Princess Anne was once vilified as rude and ungracious, now she is virtually a saint - probably both sides are partly true. Similarly Camilla while Harry's story goes the other way. We have very few 'facts' to evidence most of their press

AngryGreasedSantaCatcus · 28/07/2023 08:01

@IamSTARVING except all the quotes bar “relationship hadn’t been the same since William married Kate” which is attributed to an aide, are from TB and what she wrote.Ironically none of them are actually attributed to Harry, despite the title being about Harry being brutal about country bumpkin Middletons.

MrsLeonFarrell · 28/07/2023 09:52

Tina Brown writes something that implies Harry said something there is no evidence he said (and which incidentally is hilarious if you've lived around Bucklebury).

People discuss the fiction online, dragging in numerous unpleasant lies, and Tina Brown disappears over the horizon, well paid, book publicised and chuckling to herself about what to imply next.

Harry, Meghan, William and Catherine get the fallout. When is there going be a concerted effort to call "journalists" out?

Xeren · 28/07/2023 15:01

This reminds me of that Tatler article that called Kate an ‘Exhausted CEO’ and claimed that the aristos made fun of Carol for having scented candles and plumped cushioned.

There was also talk of William’s friends called Carol “Doors To Manual” because she was an air host.

All very juvenile and bitchy if true.
