H&M asked if they could have a lift home on AF1 after HMQs funeral. Environmentally friendly sure, but makes them look grabby and entitled again. Makes for a good story though.

I chose 2024 and my charity is Refuge (because Refuge is always my charity - not out of any shade thrown on H or M, lol). So if they can JUST HOLD OUT a little bit more until the end of the year, that's nearly £400 going to Refuge. I think it might actually be £400 - will check today.

Separately, the NY Post was forced to take down a tweet after Nacho Figueras, a friend of Harry and Meghan, pushed back on their false narrative about their marriage.

This is simply more of the same.

This is such an unpleasant thing to do.

Are you really saying that there are people at your workplace rooting for the divorce of a couple with two young children? And that you personally hope that the parents of these two young children will divorce a year from now. so that you win 400 pounds??

This is such a revealing post because it proves that the whole thing about Meghan being disliked because she said this or she said that on Oprah or Netflix is a lie.

You wanted them to spilt up before they even got married.

And you still want them to spilt up now, even with their two young children.

I wonder why that is!

Either way its bizarre - MM has political ambitions, so a link with the Biden's works for her. The photo op would have been amazing, and I think they would have chosen that over staying with the family (too good an opportunity to miss for the US market, and they are estranged from the family so I can't imagine them missing this chance to attend the rest of the service).

It would have been insanely expensive - so were they paying themselves, or expecting someone else to pick up the tab? If paying themselves it doesn't chime with 'we're short of money' narrative at all.

I think its quite possible they asked, they view themselves as being in the same 'crowd' - see pictures of Jill Biden/lemon dress etc.

Equally it could all be bollocks. They don't seem to be issuing as many statements recently about news reports, which I think is a good thing overall, but I think this one would be worth disputing if untrue as it makes them look grabby.

It's ONE reason she is not accepted. Not everyone. Not necessarily posters on here. But it is an element.

Is this a CF or AIBU?

DH and I recently attended the funeral of an acquaintence - not a close friend but important to show our faces for social reasons as the lady was very popular and well respected. We were limited on time, as DH is not as sprightly as he used to be but is still forced to work by his organisation...I need to make sure he's OK and well looked after, etc.

As we were leaving the funeral, the lady's grandson's wife hustled up to us and demanded a lift back home with us. We wouldn't normally mind but they live 2,300 miles out of our way and jet fuel's ridiculously expensive ever since we had some issues with our CF neighbours to the east. We're also not 100% keen on the grandson's wife since every conversation you have with her ends up making its way into the parish newsletter! So I said no and he looked pretty hacked off.

Was the grandson being a CF or AIBU?

Once against someone is minimising racism. Disliking someone on site is not normal behaviour for me. Is it for you? We know plenty of people didn't;t want a biracial women marrying in so don't pretend she wasn't;t subject to this. People have been imprisoned for it.
