Whatever you may think of her, she looks amazing. I wonder what her health regime is and what help she gets. It'd be fascinating to know what support money can buy.

Quite. One only has to look at the explosion of mental health problems with teenagers, especially girls, feeling like they are not enough. Being fed a daily diet of celebrity based on looks. It is all centred on how you look, the impact on the psyche of trying to live up to these ideals is having a real disastrous knock on effect, and it is not something that should be continuing unchecked.

I must say I have wondered when we don't see her for several weeks if she is having some minor work done. I certainly would be in her position.

From what I've read, she used to smoke - based on a photograph of a of cigarettes in her bag when coming out of a club when she and William were dating and, apparently, holding a cigarette in one or more of the topless photos taken long range when they were in France.

It generally seems accepted that she gave up before having children. Obviously, I don't know if she did or not but it's a very common reason for stopping.

Nobody knows if she smokes or has smoked. There is not one picture of her smoking in the last twenty years. And who cares if she does.

She probably eats healthily and exercises. But she is naturally very slim. You only have to look at Carole Middketon to see who she takes after., and a bottomless money pit for clothing hair and beauty treatments. All helps.

Agree with this. Though I guess another way of looking at it is that being thin and looking good in public are her job and the exercise is probably quite hard work (not hard work like being a care worker or anything of course)

How much do these women have to achieve before they marry? I'm glad I'm not subject to such scrutiny and expectation.

She looks like plenty of other sporty women of her age. Go to any athletics club, or triathlon club, or tennis club, and you'll see plenty of women with the same body composition. She was a keen athlete in her youth and has obviously kept it going. It's not at all remarkable.

Can we substitute the word slim for thin? Thin is thrown around in such a negative way these days. I think we've lost sight of what a healthy weight is.

I think there's a lot of silly language thrown about at people. on both ends of the scales. It's unacceptable to be derogatory at one end but not the other. Or so it seems.

Honestly - born in the 60s, went to school in the 70s and 80s and loads of women had Kate's physique. Yet nowadays its a noteworthy thing.

Women can't even focus on being fit, healthy and even athletic in middle age without someone spouting this dross about needing to put on a few pounds now they are older.

It's only remarkable as so many people are fat now and console themselves with the idea that anyone who isn't is only that way because they're starving, miserable, have an issue with excessive exercise or can pay for it.
