Photos of Catherine at Wimbledon - I wonder what her 'regime' is

Whatever you may think of her, she looks amazing. I wonder what her health regime is and what help she gets. It'd be fascinating to know what support money can buy.
Do you think she has a PT and chef?

"PS it is possible for everyone to have a similar physique that with some consistency and discipline!"

Absolutely don't agree with this.

No, don't agree with this either. Genes play a huge part, especially once you are over about 25!

I do intermittent fasting, I’m not rich or privileged or anything, just learning to be more aware of my eating habits.

I do too. While I'm reasonably slim I don't look like Kate! No doubt because I'm closer to her mother in age, and occasionally tempted by crisps and chocolate.

It still needs discipline to look like Kate however much help you have.

She was a chubby teen at school but very sporty so I guess being in the public eye makes her eat better healthier foods etc

She was certainly not a 'chubby teen'

She was never chubby! Pictures please!

Interesting that there are no threads asking what Princess Anne had to do and what help she had to fit into a dress she first wore in the 1970s.

Did she ? I'd like to see a picture of her wearing it. Not suggesting she didn't. Ann is someone who doesn't care much about make-up, hair style etc but still looks fit and slim

FavouriteDogMug · 26/06/2023 07:04

She's always been slim (despite the comment about her being a chubby teen) and her mum and sister are slim so I think it's partly genetics. She is also tall and looks like she does some kind of exercise, in the photo at the tennis she looks quite toned. With that combination of good genes, height and active lifestyle she can probably eat a reasonable amount to maintain her weight. She would have to be sensible but I don't think she would need to starve all the time. I do think she seems the sort of person who might lose their appetite when stressed rather than a comfort eater.

BadgerB · 26/06/2023 07:13

Having staff and lots of money doesn't always add up to health and beauty. Look at Princess Margaret. A much photographed society beauty in her youth who became a complete wreck and died comparatively young (young for the royal family, that is) Gin, fags, and dodgy men - and maybe a "spare" complex.

I think she is very disciplined about what she eats and has been for years (before marriage too). She has excellent genes- neither her mum nor sister is at all fat.
And she has the time and money to work out 5x per week, does sport for fun, knows she is going to be photographed so works hard on how she looks.

AmniMajus · 26/06/2023 07:27

She looks incredible, fit, healthy, strong, to look like that takes time, dedication and commitment.

Im the same age and height, eat healthily and am a size 10 but I would have to work out A LOT to become that svelte. I did it for my wedding but it was hard work. Props to her for maintaining it, she has more will power than me.

Joey2323 · 26/06/2023 07:56

Her ‘regime’ is having all the money in the world whilst never having to work a single day for the rest of her life. I think we’d all look like that

Thanks for the photo smilesy.
All credit to Ann. Wish I had something from back then to try on - but, alas, long ago gone into charity bags. I'm sure her stuff is too expensive to end up like that.

This. An army of staff, 'working' a few minutes a week, never worrying about paying the bills. What else does she have to do but shop and starve and exercise?

Have you ever seen the working diary of a senior working Royal? I have! They work long and often anti-social hours. Much longer hours than I ever have. Sure, she has staff to pick up all the domestic stuff, but it’s simply not true they only work ‘a few minutes a day’.

No we wouldn't, lots of people would still be greedy and lazy let's be realistic. She doesn't do paid work as most of us recognise it but I wouldn't fancy her schedule and duties.

ShirleyPhallus · 26/06/2023 08:17

I agree that she looks rich. Lots of help, but lots of self discipline too.

I tell you what she doesn’t do - bounce around from slimming world to Atkins while sitting on the sofa and wondering why she isn’t slim.

Exactly what I think Smile

I don't really understand this view. Yes of course it's easier to be fit if you have a personal trainer, but you still have to actually do it. Loads of people with her resources (time, money, help etc) wouldn't spend the time exercising, would maybe drink a bit more, would ask the chef for less healthy options and so on. There are loads of people who could, if they wanted to, spend a couple of hours a week exercising, but they don't. Which is fine, people have different priorities - but I don't think it's a given that everyone with her life would spend their time exercising.

Handbagger99 · 26/06/2023 08:40

I saw her up close in person recently and was actually quite shocked how very thin she was. I'm a PT and to me she looks like someone who eats very little and exercises a lot. Typical Hollywood actress style regime of someone in the public eye. I don't blame her for it and she looked great though I don't think it's that healthy. Modern designers make clothes for exactly that look unfortunately.

gogomoto · 26/06/2023 08:45

A huge amount of self discipline!

All the money in the world doesn't make you slim and groomed. She takes the advice, is disciplined enough to eat a healthy diet 95% + of the time, she prioritises fitness over say sitting on the sofa. I can afford a personal trainer and healthy food but I hate exercise and have no self discipline with food!

As a PT you'd surely understand that you don't get muscle like she has by not sufficiently fuelling your body.

shropshirewitch · 26/06/2023 08:49

Those who are disagreeing that she was chubby as a teen - there's a photo of her pre-William and pre-rhinoplasty that shows very full cheeks and nose. She was probably a 12 but like most people, looked fatter on camera.

shropshirewitch · 26/06/2023 08:51

It's obvious (to me) - she doesn't do hours of pointless cardio and then sits down all evening with a plate of pasta, she does a healthy mix of stuff prioritising weight lifting, clearly eats lots of protein and vegetables, and probably gets in 10k plus steps a day on top as she's busy.

groupery · 25/06/2023 23:27

Calling her an ironing board doesn't sound jealous? Whatever preference you have, that's not a nice way to refer to anyone.

well it's not nice but doesn't mean jealousy.

I'm a bit taller than her & when I had a 24" waist i was skinny, sinewy & skinny.

Yes, using childish insults does, actually.

Of course you can! You have to eat really very little indeed before your muscles start wasting away. She looks like someone who eats in a very regimented and careful fashion and couples that with an intensive exercise programme. Nothing wrong with that, but it is very unhelpful to suggest that a standard “healthy” diet and average exercise regimen would achieve these results!
