Photos of Catherine at Wimbledon - I wonder what her 'regime' is

Whatever you may think of her, she looks amazing. I wonder what her health regime is and what help she gets. It'd be fascinating to know what support money can buy.
Do you think she has a PT and chef?

The training regime of an Olympic athlete..............................

That's exactly what I was thinking. Ann must have been super dooper fit and she still rides and probably eats the same as she always did.

Chefs etc can only do so much. There has to be some internal discipline. Eat the chef prepared salad but have the discipline to stay out the sweetie cupboard.

Grumpyfroghats · 28/06/2023 07:25

I don't think anyone is saying it is just the money, time, chef, personal trainer, of course she also has to have the willpower and discipline but of course those things help

Oh but there are more than a few people saying "if only I had access to x, y & z" I'd look like her.

Well, yes but that doesn't conflict with what I said?

The things she has access to do help! If you're someone who has some willpower and discipline but not enough time, the things she has would help you.

Oh I suppose not, no.
That's what I took from those comments though - the sort of shrug of 'it's not my fault I don't look like her'

Me and lots of others have said that it is entirely possible to have a strong, healthy body w/o being a Princess.

I think we are in agreement, just maybe thinking about different responses.

I think it is possible to be very slim/fit and not be very rich and have lots of time.

I also think being very rich and having lots of time makes it easier.

So some people who aren't currently very slim/fit would be so if they had these advantages.

But some people would still be fat/unfit even if they had these advantages.

I don't think we're really disagreeing either.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 18:08

Personally I would say she probably has a great fitness base & muscle structure from when she was a child. Herself & Pippa played every sport under the sun. She also seems very active & outdoorsy with the kids. Agree, she looks great!

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 18:11

JeandeServiette · 25/06/2023 21:36

Chubby? She was never chubby.

This place is like a pro-ana chat room sometimes.

I just saw that. She was never even remotely chubby. She had a very athletic build as a teenager & in her 20s. She's in her 40s now & is still lithe & athletic. Pippa & her mum are the same. It's in the genes & sporty, outdoorsy lifestyle.

Here come the posters who think she is too thin! She is super fit,her muscles are amazing. It takes a lot of work to get and keep a body like that.

I think her good posture helps a lot too.. Great posture makes such a difference at 40+.

PollyThePixie · 29/06/2023 07:42

I think she looks very healthy which is way more important than looking gorgeous. Not that she isn’t gorgeous. But being fit and healthy is the best thing we can ever do for ourselves.

Interesting that there are no threads asking what Princess Anne had to do and what help she had to fit into a dress she first wore in the 1970s.

Did she ? I'd like to see a picture of her wearing it. Not suggesting she didn't. Ann is someone who doesn't care much about make-up, hair style etc but still looks fit and slim

Ann is very outdoorsy too, I'd imagine this helps her psyhique massively

Yes I wouldn’t underestimate the beneficial effects of having a stable full of horses on your doorstep - or private space and land in general - and a country estate to walk the dogs around! Of course you can have those things and never step a foot outside of your house but I imagine it’s so much nicer waking up in the midst of them than having to drive to the park, or having to jog around your local polluted pavements.

I agree, I am also a very outdoorsy person, I love to run walk cycle but I have to share the outdoors with all the other idiots who get in my way and slow me down.
I have to run the gamut of traffic dangerous dogs men who shout abuse at me from cars and vans, if I go swimming I have to fight with every other c* in the pool.
Everything is easy and happens as if by magic for her.

LaurieFairyCake · 25/06/2023 20:53

I don't think she was a 'chubby teen' - every photo I've seen of her around 18-22 is of a really healthy athletic size 10

It's just that now she's a size 6 - which is very different on someone of her height

This

This is very true. I am generally a very sociable person, but there are days when there are too many PEOPLE when I just want to get my head down and get on.
I do still get on with it, but my chakras get misaligned.

Pearlsaminga · 29/06/2023 17:26

but my chakras get misaligned
oh tell me about it, trying to get a decent workout in the midst of people ambling around, not to mention the dreaded dogs, it's so rough on the chakras😤

Trainsplanesandfeet · 29/06/2023 18:33

Fair enough she has money and the opportunity for a PT etc but she is also very busy- she does loads of engagements and meetings and has three young kids.

She still needs iron will. A personal chef doesn’t hold you back from evening snacking if you get the urge. As seen by the fact not all the royal women are a size 6. Body shape and genetics play a big part through and her family are all slim.

I suspect she would be much more rounded post babies without the eagle eye of the media constantly on her raking over every pound she gains. She’s clearly a woman with a lot of self control and happily seems to enjoy sport so I hope that brings her some joy amongst the inevitable self denial of too much wine and chocolate!

Grumpyfroghats · 29/06/2023 18:45

She really isn't that busy! She carries out far far fewer engagements than any other senior member of the royal family except her husband who also doesn't do that many. And it's been the same over the years, I don't think children have anything to do with it, she didn't do many before having children either.

TheOrigRights · 29/06/2023 18:50

Some people might need an iron will, but not everyone does. Not everyone gets the urge to snack in the evening.

It's already been said on this thread, you just need to go to a local sports club to see many, many people with similar physiques to Kate.

Not everyone is more rounded after having children.

stillavid · 29/06/2023 18:54

I don't think you can under estimate just how sporty Kate is. She still holds the high jump record for her senior school and she let there what over 20 years ago.

With regards to engagements, I think it is becoming very clear that her and William are not willing to be judged on how many community centres they open but rather on fewer longer term projects like homelessness/early years. which I hope will be successful. To be honest I think the days of people lining up to see some random member of the RF open a new sewage works are long gone.

Grumpyfroghats · 29/06/2023 19:00

Well those projects have certainly been long term... Perhaps in another decade or two we might see something tangible

Lightningstrikess · 29/06/2023 19:01

I think health, fitness & eating well were ingrained in the Middleton kids since they were babies. They can put their hands to all types of sport & to a very high standard...
Tennis, skiing, athletics, rowing, archery, swimming, triathlon, marathon, hockey, lacrosse, netball, basketball, cycling are just some of the sports the Middleton sisters excelled at.. This is imprinted on their muscle memory.
They are been sporty since they were tiny & that is going to give one a much stronger base & structure.
I'd imagine they would have to thank their parents for giving them such opportunities.
Even socially to be able to partake in so many sports leads to such interesting company & horizons.
I read before the only sport the Middleton's didn't conquer was equistrian.

stillavid · 29/06/2023 19:05

Well the Duke of Edinburgh schemes and Prince's Trust took a while to get going but am sure are considered a success nowadays.

I think long term projects are more important than chasing numbers of engagements but appreciate others may feel differently.

If you look at the timeline on the royal foundation's website, it's basically a list of photo opportunities that Kate and William have done... I don't get any sense they are serious about actually delivering anything. Actual long term projects would be great, I just think these two aren't into that

LuciferRising · 29/06/2023 19:16

Not everyone is healthy and fit due to an iron will or self denial of chocolate and wine. Some people simply are because they enjoy exercise and eat well. Not everyone obsesses over chocolate etc.
