Apparently during the coronation service, we'll all being asked to swear "true allegiance" to Charles and his heirs.

That's a no from me.

The new photos were taken in the Blue Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace

Yes, I agree with this. Just because we don't instigate an insurrection and violently overthrow the monarchy (although I'm guessing that this 'soft' power would quickly show its unrelenting fangs if anybody tried), they seem to dreadfully mistake this for unanimous love and fondness for them.

In all of this coronation planning, I can't help but see Charles as a kind of Rik figure from The Young Ones:

"Hey, everybody, I've had a bwwrrilliant idea - how about we all take this smmmashing opportunity to reflect on just how much we all love me and then all shout out together about just how wonderful I am.... guys?!"

We will be watching as it is an historical event, as we play Royal Event Cock Up Bingo. We’ll be watching for a fainter, a shitting horse, fluffed lines, eye rolls from those in the abbey, a horse that wants to be a rebel, etc.

We will not be swearing allegiance to anyone.

no . Despite the history Charles calling Camila the queen not queen consort really upset me.

i know in history that has been done ( ie the kings wife is a queen) but QE2 was unique and she will always be the queen.

he just should know better and that’s the worry.
