"Kate's 'resentment' : Princess was denied a final goodbye with the Queen because she had to stay away from Balmoral to ensure Harry's wife couldn't come, royal author claims"

Kate 'resents' not having final moment to say goodbye to Queen | Daily Mail Online

According to book from Robert Jobson. Charles doesn't come of good in this book....

Kate 'resents' not having final moment to say goodbye to Queen

Kate, 41, remained in Windsor to look after her children while the immediate family headed to be at the late monarch's bedside - says Robert Jobson in new book, Our King.

And there you are with your generalisations and unfounded lies

Personally - as a British born resident living in London, I couldn't give two shits about Camilla. I can completely understand why Harry feels as he does about her. If I knew my Dad had been having an affair desire marrying my Mum, I'd probably not love the woman he'd had an affair with.

🙄no-one has said that they would expect Harry to 'love' Camilla. What's that got to do with a supposed PR campaign because she is supposedly unacceptable to the British public?

The clue is in a) 'British' and b) 'public'

Well it doesn't, though. The figure quoted was from 2017 and in 2023 25 April, it's 55%.

I don't read the DM but I can google! Bit like their heroine. Oh, no, I forgot, she doesn't does she??

Lies lies and statistics

I agree!

My point being that there are posters on here who criticise any yougov poll showing the decline in popularity of H&M as unreliable because of yougov's owners, but are happy to use an (out of date) poll by the DM when it suits their narrative.

polkadotdalmation · 25/04/2023 09:38

@mixedrecycling Totally agree, but it also shows how people will put something up on a public forum which is a complete misrepresentation of the truth and expect to get away with it.

As I said, like a certain Meghan Markle who seems to have departed from the truth long ago.

I was listening to something and apparently it's a 'thing' in Hollywood circles for actors to lie quite blatantly when they are not well known, because their lies will never be scrutinised. That's why I think the Tig was one big inflation and ego trip for Meghan. Painting her life as much more exciting and sophisticated than it really was.

The problem with this approach when you become massively famous (for who you marry, nothing more, nothing less) is that the scrutiny is microscopic and lies and deceptions are ruthlessly scrutinised and exposed.

Imo that's what Meghan couldn't cope with in the RF. scrutiny of her family and her relationships, marriage, ring/envelope and all sorts coming out of the woodwork to write pieces about her. It was the demolishing of this polished facade she had created for herself being picked away bit by bit, that caused such stress and made her paranoid about the media and social media.

That's why on Oprah she had the gall to imply while the was pregnant there were multiple conversations with her about the baby's skin colour and if he was too dark no title or security. Utter BS and exposed as such.

Survey March 2023 :

14% thought Camilla should be queen

www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1761000/queen-camilla-title-news-poll/amp

Unless polls have thousands of respondents I do trust any of them but what I do trust are consistent trends across polls
Camilla is disliked and crowning her is massive misstep and I'm glad the 'royals' are clueless enough to do it

Aside from the polls - listen to any phone in on the topic - overwhelmingly negative re Camilla
Look at comments sections - overwhelmingly negative re Camilla

Most people are not interested at all in this con a nation but the one thing they do notice - the anointing of Charles and Camilla - is promoting a very negative response .
Good .

skullbabe · 25/04/2023 09:56

Different poll from one year ago asking if Camilla should be Queen Consort March 2022 - 55%. So like for like comparator of the 2 polls - that is a drop in popularity in calling Camilla Queen Consort by about 20%.

Yes whatever people say on here, a lot of people are not happy for her to be called Queen.

And a lot of people don't give a flying fuck, including me.

@mixedrecycling I know Harry and Meghan are no longer popular in Britain. The Royal Family and Tabloid campaign of attacks has worked.

@ 😂😂😂. I'd say the Oprah interview, 6 hours of shitflix mockumentary, a vicious book attacking his family, and countless interviews where neither of them can keep their stories straight, apart from their desire to destroy the royal family's reputation, the reputation of the racist UK and a slick PR campaign which has nevertheless seen plummeting ratings in the USA, has more to do with it.

Cared enough to incorrectly cite data.

😂😂

On the polls, I generally don't trust them as they tend to be twisted to achieve results desired by the pollsters.

I cited the DM poll because it struck me that of the "Middle England" readers who I would say are amongst the most Royalist, only 14% were happy with Camilla being called Queen.

And 44% had no problem with the A and L being allowed their titles.

I found that to be an interesting response given the make up of the people polled, they have been recently fed a "Queen Camilla is great" narrative, and "how dare Harry and Meghan use their kids titles" narrative.

So the result intrigued me.

Beyond that, I am not sure why polls continue to include Harry and Meghan at all given that they are not part of the working family.

Even stranger are the polls taken in the US, as they are always among voters. They are not run for public office, and I have never seen polling in America being done amongst voters for private citizens.

Stranger than that still ... polling the royal family in the US when there is no relationship between the Royals and the US.

Even more intriguing: very little polling done in the Caribbean realms. Meaning that when Jamaica and other decide to go Republic, no one can understand it. Well, its because you have been focusing on the US where Charles is not King, not the overseas realms, where he is. 😝

Nope they did that all by themselves

The people of Britain can see and hear what H&M do. No need for campaign of attacks.or are you saying that British people are uniquely stupid?

MrsMaxDeWinter · 26/04/2023 12:39

Not uniquely stupid.

But uniquely misinformed and misled by an untrustworthy press.

Britain, I believe, consistently has the lowest ratings in Europe for the trustworthiness of its media.

Brexit is a great example of how the voting public was misled by dishonest politicians and a campaign of misinformation by the press.

If the Brits can be so misinformed about this seismic historical event, (to the point where a top search after the vote was "what is the European Union") what more when it comes to a "D list" actress whose name is used as money generating clickbait. The DM alone has 7 articles from the Lakers game.

Your press is something else.

Caveat: I love the FT and the Guardian.
