Kate 'resents' not having final moment to say goodbye to Queen

Oh she brings good humour to the situation doesn't she

" I wonder where the mug is now - the cup ...,?" 🤣🤣

And Sarah. Vine ...... all I can say is she just be on these threads!

PreparationPreparationPrep · 20/04/2023 13:12

Must not just!

Robert Jobson knows f all. He is not involved with the royals anymore. It's just more made-up garbage to make him money.

@PreparationPreparationPrep

When I read posts, I imagine which Royal "experts" posters would be in real life.

I have already identified an Afua Hirsh, a Sarah Vine, an Ingrid Seward, a Jennie Bond and a Tessa Dunlop

And all the name changers would be Angela Levin 😆

I have to say..I am a great maker and eater of quiche (the one I made yesterday was pancetta mushroom and gruyère) but the coronation quiche sounds yuk. Broad beans out of season? And tarragon is a very acquired taste.

I love love coronation chicken (Gordon Ramsay's recipe with fresh mango the best) but will be giving the quiche a misd

I didn’t like the idea of the beans in a quiche. Feels like the wrong texture.

Very good read - it really made me laugh.

Thanks

I also had visions of Rishi telling Harry that he couldn't come to the big day! 😀

You know my spell check just gave me the option of Rich instead of Rishi 🤣

Your recipe sounds lovely

I used to love home made quiche when it was a simple recipe. As soon as I started becoming a little adventurous things started to go wrong, namely soggy pastry and soggy egg! I haven't made one for years now.

It was yummy though I say so myself! We eat half between us, but I have to quickly freeze half before I eat it all (no self control at all!)

I am just surprised at the Quiche recipe for coronation. Spinach is notoriously wet, broad beans out of season, tarragon acquired taste and not really a quiche for everyone.

That’s Tom Parker Bowles who works for Mail on Sunday ( ANL ), who Harry is suing and who Meghan won a lawsuit against recently.

cornfleurs · 20/04/2023 15:25

I'd say his relationship to his mother (who was discussed in a very unpleasant way by Harry in his book Spare) is far more germane than some cookery writing in the Mail on Sunday (which is merely one of several freelance gigs that he has).

Nice try though

Viviennemary · 20/04/2023 15:30

Camilla did play the long game. She was Charles's mistress for decades. If thats not the long game I don't know what is. I think it must be hard for Harry to watch her being crowned. Especially when we were told Camilla wouldn't be Queen. A lie.

cornfleurs · 20/04/2023 15:35

@Viviennemary I may be reading her wrong, but I don't think Camilla was bothered about being queen. I think that was a priority for Charles.

Whaeanui · 20/04/2023 15:46

@cornfleurs at what? Nice try at what? Tom is her son AND works for the company Harry is taking to court for hacking and more besides. Facts that are important when considering his opinion. It’s funny people attack Harry for admitting to using drugs, so did Tom Parker Bowles- cocaine, marijuana ( he says ‘grass’ ) and ecstasy.

Viviennemary · 20/04/2023 15:47

I agree she probably didnt want to be Queen but remain Charles's mistress during his marriage and beyond. Not good.

And I believe (but happy to be corrected) that he dealt at one point.

It doesn't get a mention of course.

I honestly don't know why Charles had to marry Camilla, Highgrove is so close to Ray Mill House where she spends a lot of time. They don't live together. He would have got a lot of sympathy for staying single, and he could have seen Camilla as much as he wanted. I always remember someone saying who lived local that after PPhilip's funeral she made a quick exit back to her house, not even staying with Charles then. I just think they complicated matters getting married. Just my opinion of course.

I assume she did actually want to be Queen.

AskMeMore · 20/04/2023 15:56

Charles wanted to marry Camilla. I think Camilla agreed on certain conditions - substantial trusts set up for her children, and her continuing to live at her own house.

Whaeanui · 20/04/2023 15:57

Is it just me that thinks living separately as a married couple is strange? Why get married?

Whaeanui · 20/04/2023 15:58

Charles is godfather to her kids and set up trust funds while she was still married to Andrew.

cornfleurs · 20/04/2023 16:06

Some of you seem way over-invested in the relationships of total strangers.

wow if thats true that is awful. really would show that Camila has no scruples(hanging around with clarkson was bad enough)
