Harry and Meghan still not replied to Coronation Invitation

Harry and Meghan still haven't replied to the invitation to the coronation even though the RSPV deadline has passed. If it's true I think it's a bit rude. They know the preparation that goes into these events. It must be a headache for the planners not to know if they are coming or not.

Apparently Arche and Lilibet aren't invited to the actual ceremony as they are deemed to be too young. My bet is they will all come to the UK for the coronation but who knows. Not heard if Andrew is coming or not. And Fergie. Will she be there. Maybe behind a pillar.

It’s Archie’s birthday though, so I’m not sure.

I think it’s likely a real dilemma for them, they will want to go and be part of it, but they won’t want to be publicly booed and mocked for their obvious hypocrisy. They will also want to be a key part, on the balcony, Archie recognised etc. they won’t want to be relegated to the sidelines.

with no other career path to speak of after 3 years away , they have simply made a career out of leveraging their royal connections. If they are seen to lose those, they don’t have much left to sell.

I suspect they know if they are going or not, they are just not saying to make it as difficult as possible for the royal family and their staff. Just another petty act of vengeance.

What a load of bunkum!

How do you know they are not in communication with the Palace or Charles?

How do you know they want to be on the balcony when it is strictly working Royals?

How do you know they will be publicly booed. I would like to think the Royalists would have more decorum than doing that. And I think C&C are more likely to be booed, as it's happened already!

Your post is what you think in your head. Northing else.

Except Harry was here just last week, and not a boo or egg in sight !

The rest of your post is absolute poppycock !

I’m guessing it’s going to be a bit like This Is Your Life…

various Royals, in various carriages process down the Mall.
crowds cheer, wave flags etc.
TV networks film the procession and their entrances into Westminster Abbey
the excitement grows

then, just ahead of the carriage holding the Prince and Princess of Wales, which is immediately ahead of the Coronation Coach, there appears another coach,

who can it be? A silence descends over the crowds.

and a voice booms out over the loudspeakers “You thought they weren’t coming - but here they are! Harry and Meghan! Because, today King Charles, this is your coronation”
the crowds cheer “God Save the King”!

Everybody gets what they wanted
Charles is centre of attention, as he should be
lots of speculation leading up to the big day (column inches = cash)
dramatic entrance for Harry and Meghan, who only flew in that morning
The Sussexes reminded the Royal Family has strict protocol
Charles has his younger son attending
the Sussexes go home that night, thus not straining delicate relations too much.

and it would be nice to think that they all lived happily ever after.

THE END

Everybody gets what they wanted

Charles and Camilla are the centre of attention - or maybe not. Or should I say they desperately manipulate and try to be, as they always wanted and desired.
Papers made up 'dramatic' entrance as H&M come in like everyone else.
The Sussexes can go and come as they want, if they want to visit friends/family/charities, really up to them.

how do you know? it always amazes me, all these threads with made up stuff.

BlackFriday · 06/04/2023 16:06

God these threads are tedious.
I see that the new way of shutting down any sort of debate is for Sussex fans to just keep bleating, "how do you KNOW?"

so how do you know? what is wrong with asking that? how can it be debated, no one knows.

Paloma66 · 06/04/2023 16:13

I'm quite sure that the King knows whether his son is coming or not and what his role will be. Whether he feels the need to inform the Daily Mail is a different matter.

But how do you?!

I see the new way of stopping discussion is posting untrue facts on stuff no one knows about!

They will want to do this, they will want to do that, they don't want this, they don't want that. Unless posters have planted a bug in their house, we don't know!

stillavid · 06/04/2023 16:23

I hope they come, it will be so much more entertaining for everyone to watch the studious ignoring etc.

Because watching Charles and Camilla get crowned is going to be a teensy bit dull methinks.

I want young glamorous royals wearing serious fashion and jewels with a side helping of side eye.

Roussette · 06/04/2023 16:26

Now Charles has put the kibosh on wearing silk breeches, I think you're right!

stillavid · 06/04/2023 16:30

Yeap, silk breeches I was down with.

I am not at all sure what the dress code is to be honest. I want random celebs like the Beckhams and Clooneys - not dull old aristos and the worthy.

As the palace is like a leaky sieve when it comes to keeping things secret, I'm pretty sure we would have known by now if the couple/harry were coming.

TrashyPanda · 06/04/2023 17:44

he is literally the star attraction - the one everyone is waiting to see.
I don’t think any manipulation is needed.

gogohmm · 06/04/2023 17:46

As the official invitations have only just been released how would anyone know. I'm sure he has his dads mobile number which will be encrypted for this very reason!

TrashyPanda · 06/04/2023 17:47

Nobody knows what the Sussexes will or will not do.

I just tried to insert a little light hearted note into the convo.

Meghan was an actress, so I thought my scenario with a “dramatic entrance” was mildly amusing.

100% made up

Or to inform the MN Krayzeez.

Bluebells1970 · 06/04/2023 17:57

Does the Pope pray?

There is literally a zero % chance of them missing out on a global event and being included in the official family photographs.

But they will be arguing every single small detail behind the scenes. And I would imagine that there are some fairly stressed courtiers having to deal with them.

Ooooh, Rousette, don't! You're being a meanie bringing that up. You know how it upsets me to have no silk sockings and breeches, and buckles and capes and feathered caps. 😪 I'm almost hoping that William and Harry will go at each other with fisticuffs and necklaces and dogbowls. Or Kate and Meghan go hand to hand armed only with their stiletto shoes. It would be a poor substitute for them breeches but better than nothing.
And now I read no ducal coronets or gold carriage. I mean what is the point? 🤷‍♀️

Don't hold your breath. Considering most top celebs have refused. Though I think you can see Sam Smith and ..............somenone, someone from SA and other someone too.

Is he ?

Because it sure sounds like Camilla is placing herself and her Parker Bowles family right front and centre.

Charles not so much ( I think it's only George who is mentioned come to think of it actually).

Looks like the courtiers will be the ones arguing every single small detail (most likely unnecessary from their behaviour).

The courtiers will be the ones stressed, not H&M.

I hope Sam Smith performs at the coronation in bondage gear, it will be absolutely hilarious. please make it happen!

And Nicholas Witchell. Don't forget Nicholas.

He can't help showing his disdain of H&M when there is anything going on, like at the funeral. Shame the RF think he's such an arse and barely hide their disdain of him!

Will Nicholas wear silk breeches whilst commentating perhaps, that would be good.

MsWhitworth · 06/04/2023 18:58

After all the shenanigans, the one thing we all should’ve learnt by now is that the press make shit up. I find it utterly depressing that people still read it and think it’s true.
