Duchess of Success succeeds in getting the ridiculous lawsuit by Samantha Markle dismissed

Common sense decision this.

I hope that the tabloids who were (most probably) sponsoring this non-case of Samantha Markle's will pay the Duchess of Sussex her legal fees.

The judge correctly found that how Meghan felt about her upbringing was a subjective opinion about her childhood and her relationship with her half-sister. The court found that Meghan's statement about "feeling like an only child" is not objectively verifiable or subject to empirical proof, and, as a statement of pure opinion was “not capable of being proved false”.
The court also said the plaintiff Samantha "cannot plausibly disprove" Meghan's "opinion of her own childhood."

On the claims based on Finding Freedom, the court said the Duchess could not be held accountable for a book that she did not write or publish.

Go Meghan. I'm sure Samantha will file something else again soon ... and that she will lose again.

I don't know which stories you mean. But if it's a fact, it's a fact. How is that slagging off? S's own daughter hates her and her other children don't want to know her. That's a fact, and Samantha's fault, not Meghan's.

The amount of deflect and redirect than goes on her is laughable.

Mention of MM being a proven liar and not a very nice character...bring up Andrew as though one cancels out the other. Its a proven manipulative technique.

Deflect and redirect. Mention Putin and Hitler, as though that somehow is a cogent argurment. Laughable.

This is one of the annoying risks you take if you try to strike out a claim brought against you. If you don’t succeed it’s quite usual for the judge to tell the claimant that they are allowed to go and re-plead their case, only now without all the flaws that have been identified through the strike out application. So the case against you continues, but is now much improved! 😬

(I have no idea of the overall strengths of the case here, just pointing out one of the pitfalls of going for the nuclear option of striking out the case against you. If you are not successful, it can backfire a bit).

Possibly silly from a legal point of view (I've no idea) but it certainly keeps the publicity wheels turning for Samantha and that's probably more important. Again, not dissimilar to her half sister really.
