Prince Edward has lost a lot of weight

I was shocked to see photos of Prince Edward in Edinburgh. He has lost a lot of weight. Hope he is okay. Or maybe he had covid badly?

He's starting to look very much like PP and DoK. They were/are very slim but lived/are living to a very good age.

No PP did not look like this at 59.
The way you are all reacting to this very ordinary musing makes me wonder if some of you are from the palace and you know something, so are way over reacting to what I am saying.

No you just keep going on and on about it. He's lost some weight, he look's complete normal yet you're making out that he's ill. Maybe he just fancied being a bit healthier.

This is such a distasteful thread. Perhaps he is ill. Perhaps he has just decided to lose some weight. Maybe he's taken up running. Maybe he's been grieving for his mother and aware that every move he makes in public is under scrutiny. Who knows? Whatever the reason this sort of speculation is horrible.

I have to agree..Edward has the best medics on hand if he should need them.

@YetMoreNewBeginnings We actually had major issues after my parents deaths. They ran a farm (did not own it), so yes it was incredibly stressful. TBH much more than the Royals dealt with. We had no staff to help and no large pot of money to buy our way out of the work involved.
I think it is hard for anyone losing their parents. But please do not try and pretend the Royals had a uniquely hard time. We could not even have a proper funeral as we did not have the money. I was working full time caring for my disabled DD, and spending every spare moment dealing with the mess left.

You’ll find I specifically said “because if not he may have been under a different kind of pressure than those of us who get to grieve in privacy”

I did not say harder or easier. I said different due to privacy.

So stop your pathetic attempts at putting words in my mouth.

He looks the same to me in those pictures.
But losing family can cause changes in your eating patterns. I lost two stone when my dad died. Conversely, since my mums been ill, the stress has caused me to put on 2½ stone.

His deterioration in weight and looks is quick. He is only 59 years old.

They all seem to age very rapidly and badly. Charles has looked 70 for 20 years and so has Anne. The prick Andrew is the only one unfortunately who hasn’t aged as terribly.

does he do any outdoor hobbies? i don't think i've ever read about him being much of an outdoorsmen?

I think he's just becoming an older typical Windsor. All the men are a bit craggy and slim. Duke of Kent, Prince Philip. Charles himself.

Totally agreed until you got to Charles, if only he had that tall craggy figure.

I went to a garden party at Buckingham Palace in summer 2008 and Edward was there - at the time I was surprised at how thin and weedy he was - he was so thin
