Drama between Eugenie/Jack and William/Kate

I missed this last year. Apparently Eugenie and Jack had wanted to love into Adelaide Cottage as their main British residence (they also live part-time in Portugal for Jack's work). But William and Kate successfully claimed Adelaide Cottage instead as their fourth or fifth house?
This apparently led to tension between the two families. Instead Jack and Eugenie live in Nottingham Cottage which has two bedrooms. They already have one child and Eugenie is pregnant. I am guessing this is why they wanted a slightly bigger house.

I agree, @sydneysunset - more preferable.

Thanks, @vera99 - what does she mean, she's never really met Meghan? According to Meghan, she and Harry were visitors to Royal Lodge and Sarah taught Meghan how to curtsey. M&H are friends with the York family, why minimise it?.
Anyway, Andrew's "tumultuous year" isn't wrong. Although "poor Andrew" maybe stretching it.

Ooh yes good point.

It is interesting.
Nice company they keep.

Thank you, feellikeanalien; that was it, though I was wrong about it being Epstein who allegedly chipped in to the wedding - turns out it was some other dubious "friend"

It backs up what I said on another thread though, that even with Epstein dead and even if Andrew was cut off completely by the family, I doubt he'd be without money. Unfortunately there are always sleazeballs, some of them even worse than Andrew, who are prepared to bankroll people like him

They won't now though. He's toxic. His name is toxic.

But back in the day when he was schmoozing all over the world as a Trade Envoy, extremely rich oligarchs and the like used him, purely because he was a royal.

Summed up by this...
Libby Purves wrote in The Times in January 2015: "Prince Andrew dazzles easily when confronted with immense wealth and apparent power. He has fallen for 'friendships' with bad, corrupt and clever men, not only in the US but in Libya, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, wherever."

A Kazakhstani millionaire paid over the odds for "South York".

You have repeated the PR narrative re William and Camilla for those who want to swallow it

James MacManus worked for Rupert Murdoch. He leaked it. And I believe that story because Keven Maguire, a committed republican and working with journalists at that time, said it was true. He's no reason to lie.

That William joined in with the 'Diana was paranoid ' line that C and C push along with their media friends, says all you need to know about William
He has not protected his mother's memory.

Diana WAS paranoid. You've seen Charles Spencer's notes and statements. She was conned by Bashir because he told her that all the things she'd feared were actually true. That's what made her so easy to manipulate. And no one would know it more than William whom she confided in daily and who was telling her she was wrong. It was he who had to handle her outbursts and fears and he was just a young teenager.
To later then learn that the BBC had covered up for someone who had played on her fears so they could increase revenue must have felt very bitter. Especially when Diana felt that the confirmation of her fears meant she had declined police protection. That ultimately probably contributed to her death.
William knows more than anyone she was paranoid. Why shouldn't he explain just why the actions of Bashir and the BBC were so heinous?

Both camps ( Willy and Camilla - I suspect Charlie is weak) brief against each other and will continue to do so

I don't really see any bad stories about either William or Camilla so they need to step up their game!

They won't (bankroll Andrew) now though. He's toxic. His name is toxic

We can only hope you're right, Roussette, but among the sort of people they associate with nothing would surprise me. After all I doubt the RF are the only "contacts" Andrew has, and as with Epstein some of them may well be even more repulsive than he is and thus not over-bothered by his own reputation
