Just that! The children have married really well!

Actually there is NO difference between 'queen' and 'queen consort'

Both are made up titles designed to fool the unquestioning that 'royalty ' is real

'King' is an invented idea.

Royalty is not real .

Florissant · 19/02/2023 10:07

Why?

karamazing · 19/02/2023 10:15

handholdin · 19/02/2023 06:51

KM isn't actually the future Queen but Queen Consort there is a big difference between the two. One is a birth right the other is a position that she married into and would be taken away instantly if a divorce was to take place.

There is no difference. The consort term was brought back to the fore to appease those who don't like Camilla (even though it changes nothing).

handholdin · 19/02/2023 10:33

Well it does actually change things because if Charles divorced camilla she wouldn't be queen consort but he would still remain king. They only have their titles through marriage so they can be taken away. Whereas people jumping up and down about removing Harry's title they can't do this he was born Prince Harry and will remain so whatever us commoners think of this medieval family.

Novella4 · 19/02/2023 10:42

@handholdin

You seem to have missed the point .
Royalty is a scam .
It is not real .
Titles are are invented nonsense.
All of them
Protocol is more invented nonsense designed to further reinforce the invented titles nonsense - eg the 'royals' walking into church at Christmas in order of 'succession'

🤣

Novella4 · 19/02/2023 10:45

I do remember one hilarious objection to Meghan - apparently she walked in front of Harry !

Absolute crime against 'protocol'!

Never mind the offences of Andrew and Mountabatten and god know who else still to be revealed . THAT is ignored

Yes I understand your point

But 'royalty ' is still nonsense

Look at all the pressures on people in the UK today and all the things we have lost - yet Chuck is wasting over 100 000 000 on his magic hat day !
And if they admit to 100 million it is guaranteed to be more in reality

And closed a car door! There was a furore on here about that. Shock horror! Royal closes a door, what is the world coming to?! It was all over the papers!
No wonder some people look at us in incredulous amusement!

What does that have to do with the Middletons? Meghan is not, never has been and never will be a member of the Middleton familhy.

Roussette · 19/02/2023 11:59

Meghan is a must on any RF thread, you have to realise that!
(I didn't start it lol)

Novella4 · 19/02/2023 12:20

@Florissant

Meghan and protocol is very relevant to any discussion on the middletons .

'Protocol ' nonsense is part of how the 'royals' try to 'other' people who don't care for or who don't follow their made up 'rules'

More generally how does not walking in front of a man fit into modern equality laws?

JaneJeffer · 19/02/2023 13:41

Very posh. Harold!

Working class made good, aren't they? Kate's mum grew up in a council house, and she and her husband moved to a flat in Slough when they were first married. The husband's more middle class iirc. There's always been a question how much Carol's small business made, and how much came from the dodgy uncle.

Good for them. I'd rather spend time with someone from a council flat who worked their arse off, than some entitled rich person.

No. The PoW's father comes from a very middle class background.
