After this, they were told they had 12 months grace period with security. But their security was withdrawn after 3 months with no warning. Charles wouldn't pick up the phone to Harry when security told him they'd been told to leave.

This is for someone who didn't ask to be born into this, and his wife, who was receiving death threats.

Nobody is complaining about them leaving. People on this thread seem to me to be angry irritated about the whining and hypocrisy of the book. Nobody is irritated about Andrew's whiny, hypocritical book because he hasn't written one. So if you are attempting a suggestion that anyone criticising Harry is an apologist for Andrew, or both, maybe think again.

It was the Harkles who published a long winded and pompous 'Manifesto' on their silly website, acting as though their ridiculous demands had been agreed to when in fact there was no way they could be.

And I'm not sure who you mean by 'Charles and co', but the Queen was calling the shots back then, as monarchs tend to do. It was her who turned down their demand to set up their own California royal court. Not Charles. Inconvenient for the fantasy narrative told by Harry and his fans, but the truth.

It's decided by the protection group SO14, part of the Met. It's not going to be left to the whim of amateurs who does or doesn't get protection!

I have no doubt that it was made very clear to Harry that once they were no longer working royals and representing the queen, they would no longer get official protection. I don't for one second believe it came as a shock to them when the Canadians withdrew their security, except in the sense that for Harry, being told 'no' and not getting his way automatically was a massive shock. I don't think he's got over it yet.

And it's always women who have to be besties. More of that #Be Kind nonsense, always aimed at women. Kate and Meghan had nothing in common other than being married to brothers. Why should they automatically be best buddies, or even like each other?
