Brave man. Painfully transparent and authentic. At last..
Someone that tells it like it is. Refreshing at least and if even 50% of people that read Spare now looks at press articles cynically then that's a result ! I am excited to see change - we need it .
What do you think ?

So you think Meghan was going to make her own clothes, yet ended up wearing custom designer wear?
I followed her style as a royal and thought she looked great. It was chic and high end for her working life, why not? She looked good. I've no idea what Harry is talking about here. Unless he's very much misunderstood the nature of her working wardrobe, or was distracted by the bin.

Interesting point. How would you know it's half truths ? And if it was only half truths... what would be the point - given the impact that would have on them ? Its interesting to hear different opinions.

I always say there's 2 sides to every story - and yes we only hear one side . But I can't see how he would benefit lying about it ... his intentions seem to be to set the bar straight
And why not I say ?

Can't see how he would benefit? You realise he wants money right?

I feel sympathy towards Harry.

I’m sure ‘recollections may differ’ but I think he had a pretty shitty childhood that’s left him beyond damaged. I think he’s the one member of the family (bar Anne) that I’d like to hang out with. The others seem uptight and status obsessed.

Exactly ... but many will disagree . I just wonder if you think he is a money grabbing, attention seeking lying prick - who are your sources? The media .....? Because unless you know them all personally you only know what snot the media feed us all. I prefer to hear it frome the horses mouth 😝

Hmmmm.. Good luck. Hope you have your hard hat on.

Thanks... don't worry I wear one for a living. People seem to hate it when anyone speaks their truth (hate the phrase though). I just think this was so refreshing and why should He have to live a life that the press curate for him ? You show them Haz 😂

I think he is a shining example of over privileged.

Is that you Meghan?

This is such a tired trope. It’s possible the wider population can sympathise with Harry. I can see all of their POV - some families are really complicated.

JaceLancs · 24/01/2023 20:59

It’s made me like the rest of the family more and I was never a royalist
Im not too ashamed to admit that I am enjoying watching the car crash as a glorified people watching exercise
I started off quite neutral

lollipoprainbow · 24/01/2023 21:00

Agreed. He's lifted the lid on this dysfunctional family and showed us the reality. Good on him. The monarchy should end now the queen is dead.

slowquickstep · 24/01/2023 21:00

Comedy is not dead after all

JanusTheFirst · 24/01/2023 21:00

Brave?

Whining entitled lying half wit.

See this is my view too.. I really don't care for the institution of monarchy. Old fashioned etc but hey ho we have them and so that's that. Was also quite neutral and only downloaded the audio book to be in the know as its such a hot topic. However now I am fascinated by the family dynamics and assuming all the press rule the institution stuff is true, which it probably is knowing some journalists ... I am so glad he went against the grain and told it all. However there's probably no coming back from this - so hope and trust He has thought this through and therefore told the truth. Again - go Haz

This is exactly my position too!

Brave? Authentic? Telling it like it is?
You're as deluded as he is. Or a massive wind up merchant.

Oh please do enlighten us then if you think he is lying ... what is he lying about? How do you know? Genuinely interested

Ah comedy.

feellikeanalien · 24/01/2023 21:27

I think anyone who lived through the 80s and 90s has very few illusions about the monarchy.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 24/01/2023 21:45

What do I think? I think he’s a nasty, jealous and spiteful man and that you are incredibly naive to think that he is being truthful in the book.

Jordosky · 24/01/2023 21:50

‘he has enlightened all the people’

pmsl

cool story bro

We know he was on holiday with Charles and William when the queen mother died. He claims different in his book.

Xenia · 24/01/2023 21:52

Dreadful breaches of confidentiality. Very unwise. If "authentic" then authentically stupid perhaps.

LadyWiddiothethird · 24/01/2023 21:54

He is a typical addict,a liar.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 24/01/2023 21:55

Tbf, I’ve always thought William and Catherine seemed incredibly superior and as cold as ice, whilst Charles was the epitome of loving but absolutely inept at showing it. Harry just confirmed my thoughts.

What does make you feel Harry is authentic? I’m not a royalist at all, but am curious what makes you think he is the real deal now.

Lovemelovemydoggie · 24/01/2023 21:57

Actually it’s made me feel very sorry for Prince William. He lost his mother at a young age too and it looks like he’s done his best over the years to try to keep his drug addled petulant brother on the straight and narrow.

So sad to read of Prince William telling Harry he loves him and just wants him to be happy, especially just after their grandfather’s funeral and after THAT Oprah interview where the royal family were wrongly accused of being racist. Harry comes out of that exchange very badly IMO.
