Why doesn't he get in his car and drive to the furthest remote place in the UK and stay there? He is a horrible excuse for a human being, makes me want to vomit....feeble apologies, because he's now thinking about his finances.......he should never be allowed to be on TV or write in newspapers again....why isn't he made an example of? ....

Save some empathy for H&M opening that up on Xmas day. Who does he think he is.

You see I took it completely the other way that he was blaming others! That they were not there to oversee his work as they normally did.

And to not send the apology to Meghan directly , that’s pretty poor I think. As though she is a chattel of her husband.

That’s even sadder? Who opens email on Christmas Day? The entire point of email is that you can access it when you choose. You make it sound as if he sent one of those screeching Harry Potter letters to fly round their heads.

Meghan and Harry always take the opportunity to make a sharp remark when anything is said to or about them - think of 'We can all live a life of service. Service is universal' which was a comeback aimed at putting the Queen in her place, unbelievably. (I can't imagine speaking to a grandparent that way, let alone my ex-boss, even if you're not all that into the monarchy.) I think JC could have apologised sooner and publicly as well as privately, and I don't think he's a very nice person, but I don't think it reflects all that well on M&H that their spokesperson gave such a petty response.

I suspect Amazon are distancing themselves a bit by not talking about commissions other than those in the pipeline.

In reality, by the time it comes to discussions on future commissions, all this will be a distant memory and they can carry on as usual.

IMO is more likely H&M will be divorced by 2024 than JC not being recommissioned by Amazon.

Sending the message on xmas day, was him trying to piss on that special day for them, reminding them of this article, not really apologising, surely.

Hopefully, like Piers he is banished to the back banners of obscure TV and forgotten about from now on.

He hasn't lost his Millionaire job. When asked directly if Clarkson would be presenting the show, a spokesperson said ITV 'has a further series contractually commissioned and due to film', adding that there was 'no further commissioning commitments beyond that currently.'

I think he said he sent it on Christmas Day to make out it was worrying him so much, he had to get up on that day and send it. Shame he didn't address it to the person he should have. Meghan
I also think addressing it to Harry and marking it 'Private & Confidential' is a way of intimating she just isn't important enough to receive it.

Perhaps his daughter was there on Christmas day and they all had a massive go at him, so he sat down and sent it.

Perhaps he doesn't have Meghan's email address in which case it would be more polite to address it to Harry, as it was his email address being used. If he'd addressed it to both of them there'd be offence taken -'We resent the implication that we share a email address and aren't individuals in our own right' - likewise if he'd emailed Meghan using Harry's address- ' The Duchess is morally affronted by the insinuation that she reads her husband's emails.' You can see how it might go.

Why would he have Meghan's email address anyway? Perhaps he was worried she would accused him of harassing her? Who knows.

I have to say.... if someone addressed something like that to my DH and not me, it would make me furious, it's like being invisible, and to me it's very rude.

I booked, and paid for some flights with Iberia Airlines. My DH was the second passenger, I was the main one, my email address, payment details etc. Everything that came in offering baggage, meal on plane, confirmations etc... was addressed 'Dear Mr. Roussette'. I shamed them on Twitter

Don't now if you have seen that Tyler Perry recently signed a four picture deal with Amazon.

The head of Amazon Studios, Jennifer Salke, spoke about Perry’s new deal with the company and said, “Tyler Perry is undeniably one of the most prolific creators of our time. Given how much Tyler Perry has gone out to bat of Harry and Meghan, it would not surprise me if the apology that had to be dragged out of Clarkson is linked to this.

I’ll raise you. My SIL was breastfeeding and went into the chemist looking for condoms (contraceptive choice - ireland early 1990s - she didn’t want the pill). She was told they didn’t have any condoms.
Her husband was sent into the same chemist and lo and behold they had condoms. She read them the riot act.

Anything not addressed properly to her (maiden name) was sent back with a ‘nobody at this address across it)

@OrcastralManoeuvresInTheDark I'm ADHD too. Diagnosed, evaluated, medicated and everything. I was serious when I said I wondered if Clarkson was ADHD when I watched Clarkson's Farm.

The column we're discussing did not make me wonder that though. He didn't come across as ADHD there. Just mean.

I don't like Sussexes at all but sending it on Christmas Day is positively stalkerish.

He's not losing his Amazon deals solely because of this issue though - Amazon is a business - if he was making money for them they'd keep him no matter how awful he was. His sales must be tanking.

Apparently he’s never gone down well in the States and that’s where Amazon makes its money.

He’s already been fired from Top Gear for punching a colleague and general aggression / unacceptable behaviour at work.

He wasn't fired. his contract wasn't renewed. and its the same now his contracts are not being renewed and he will still get paid for any series that is being lined up.
