Why doesn't he get in his car and drive to the furthest remote place in the UK and stay there? He is a horrible excuse for a human being, makes me want to vomit....feeble apologies, because he's now thinking about his finances.......he should never be allowed to be on TV or write in newspapers again....why isn't he made an example of? ....

This is PR timing for the next Farm programme. He did the same thing on a previous apology, delayed then reignited just before the new programme.

I obviously know many men born in 1960 and earlier , and believe me they are constantly being told by their wives children and grandchildren that they are not bing politically correct . In fact I think they a quite proud of it, but they do realise the world has changed and are trying to adapt, but my dh really does think the worlds gone mad and woke, but now has the grace to keep his outdated opinions to his self. But when he is with his male group of friends I think they just bitch and moan about everything to each other. They will definitely be watching Clarkson silly car show and the farming one.

I agree @Trinidading3 He is only 'writing a sincere apology' to H and M because he knows his career is being affected. Amazon are close to dropping him, and I reckon ITV will follow suit, and bin him from Who Wants To be A Millionaire.

He is not sincere, and I don't believe his apology. He was rude and unpleasant, and the attack on Meghan was full on brutal and nasty. H & M have already not accepted his first 'verbal' apology, and if I were them I would tell JC to shove this written apology where the sun don't shine.

Never watched him, so never captured me at all. There are special people, say like, Attenborough etc. He is simply not one of those. He is the least memorable personality I can even imagine. He seems to just come up when he has an attention seeking scandal that he brings up. I would think of more placid newsreaders, comedians etc before I think of him.

Amazon were perfectly happy to take him on after the BBC sacked him for punching a colleague, so I’m not convinced by their newly found moral standards. Perhaps his shows aren’t making them as much money as they hoped.

He had one chance for rehabilitation after punching a colleague. He's gone too far this time.

You can't write something as foul as that and then say "oops it was a mistake". His apology is so insincere.

Also, very odd that he's a friend of Camilla. It doesn't exactly reflect well on her.

I think what is wrote was beyond the pale really. I just can't understand what he was thinking... even people who don't like them think it was completely unacceptable and indefensible. He has torpedoed his career and I'm not sure in the current climate there will be any way back for him.
