There's enough for another book! Prince Harry says he cut his memoir in HALF and stripped out details about his father and brother - as he claims he has 'long-term' aim to 'fix' the monarchy!

What an arrogant and deluded oaf!

The Duke of Sussex told The Telegraph he chose to leave out several bombshells because he was concerned his father and brother would not 'ever forgive' him.

'The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.

'There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know. Because I don't think they would ever forgive me.'

Harry also revealed his motivation to speak out so publicly against the Firm is to ultimately 'save [his family] from themselves'.

He detailed plans to derail the relationship between the Royal family and the press, expressing his belief that in doing so he can protect future divisions in the family.

After the dust has settled, he expressed a hope that he and Meghan can reconnect with his family - even if they don't particularly like his decision to share 'his truth'.

😂😂😂😂😂

He is fanatical

I read this yesterday in another context and immediately thought, PH

'Extreme and uncompromising egoist that he was, he possessed to perfection that most dangerous weapon - a complete conviction of his own rightness.'

PH has the unlovely unwavering conviction of the fanatic who will sacrifice anything and anyone to get his way.

Not so dissimilar to the Taliban then. A bit ironic really considering his military history.

He’s become extremely cocky for sure, not sure why because the derision this book has taken is off the scale, he reads everything about himself so I don’t know why he is so full of his own self importance, I’m guessing he sees the book sales as a sign of support when in fact it’s just rubbernecking at a car crash.

Absolutely right.

whynotwhatknot · 14/01/2023 11:59

thats hilarious they wont forgive him if he says anyt hing else

‘Respect to the royal household for keeping this fool under wraps for as long as they could, until somone came along and saw the kerrrrching factor.’

i never thought of it like that, that his public image was managed so well whilst under the umbrella of the RF and then as soon as he stepped out from under their protection the real him has emerged.

wow

I would like Harry's supporters to answer honestly whether they would support him in his current quest if he was not married to a mixed race woman? Take Meghan's ethnicity out of the equation.

Harry has declared the monarchy to be not racist and that he supports the institution. He is not seeking constitutional change, a republic or anything like major reform.

Remember his past and proven racism - he's the only current member of the core RF who is an on the record racist. He supported and participated in a war that should never have happened, and talks about brown men defending their own country (no matter how reprehensible they might be) in inhuman terms.

He is a greedy man, whose complaints amount to little more than not receiving more money and prestige than his older brother. He has undoubtedly taken every penny he can from the royal and public purse, and would take more if he could, as well as a share in the questionable power and undoubted prestige that William will one day have.

He would like to suppress the press. The press is undoubtedly flawed, but most free speech advocates support an unfettered press.

And then there's all the other downright nasty, puerile, petty details of his life that he saw fit to put in a book, designed to harm his family, claiming enlightenment when he clearly has serious mental health issues and unresolved feelings towards his mother.

But for Meghan, but that he decided to marry a woman of colour, is Harry a man worth defending?

Excellent post

His thinly veiled threats smack of blackmail; I think he’s so vindictive and spiteful that he’s capable of doing anything to get his own way.
He’s dangerous. In former times it would be treason.

MonsoonMadness · 14/01/2023 14:09

I think it absolutely is blackmail.
the RF need to sit down and come up with a strategy. He’s obviously got something on them that he’s keeping in reserve. It’s pay me off or I’ll blow you up.

In former times he’d be sitting in the Tower now.

I do wonder, does he? We've only got his word for it that he's got anything on them. Those 400 deleted pages may well have been full of anecdotes like Charles refusing to buy him a Porsche, Kate refusing to let Meghan use her Nectar points and William getting the last Rolo. Perhaps the editors and publishers were just being kind to him in cutting half of it out and telling him we can't handle the truth (where have we heard that on these boards this week?). Some PP on this thread I think posited that he may have written the second half of the book himself, as the tone is quite different to the first half. Perhaps all the cut pieces were fantastical drivel straight from brain cell to page by Harry.

Ironically the rest of them could be as bad!!! We know Andrew is a fucking tool because the second he agreed to talk to the press he blew it in much the same way!!!

The reason he would not tell more is probably he would get into fair risk territory of getting sued for libel - and losing. Not that the RF are probably already thinking and scanning through what he said 🧐

Coxspurplepippin · 14/01/2023 15:18

Surely if there was anything really explosive in the other 400 pages it would have been published rather than wasting paper on the frostbit todger........

bakalava · 14/01/2023 15:18

Lawyers all over this behind the scenes already, I'd say.

DogBowlsAreMyWeapon · 14/01/2023 15:22

I’ve seen it mentioned a few times that the time differs in the latter half of the book. I read a blind a few months ago which suggested a ghost writer had been fired/walked because the couple on question felt they could do a better job.

DogBowlsAreMyWeapon · 14/01/2023 15:23

Time differs = tone differs. Fucking auto carrot.

Boulshired · 14/01/2023 15:25

I can’t see any legal cases direct from Buckingham palace for disclosure/discovery reasons. The same as why Harry hasn’t gone after Bower. Even if they can prove libel it may do more harm than good. Bower was even goading them to sue.

Yea I would like to be in his position in this respect. The other side have public evidence while he has the he said she said. One of the reasons why the RF don't comment. No comment, no liability

But I suspect this pair only have themselves as advisors at the moment 😀, otherwise how can you justify the sheer volume of unedited stuff that doesn't stack up, is irrelevant, doesn't really help them or is lawsuit material

I wonder if their PR firm saw it coming and just decided to walk away. Who is doing their PR now?

I can see how a voluminous amount of annoying shite could discourage litigation from taking off. Most likely that the RF is waiting for the Coronation to pass.

Ironically the rest of them could be as bad!!!

If it wasn't for the palace spin that could possibly be true, and it's why I've got no problem with someone (even Harry) speaking up providing they've got something sensible to say

But he's blown it with the endless inaccuracies and the utter lack of judgement, especially with the way he's brought children and the disabled into it, so if we're ever to find anything out it'll probably need to come from someone more credible and who actually knows what a fact is

Very satisfying to read someone describing him adequately rather than the excruciating ’breath of fresh air’ line you still see trotted out on here daily.
