There's enough for another book! Prince Harry says he cut his memoir in HALF and stripped out details about his father and brother - as he claims he has 'long-term' aim to 'fix' the monarchy!

What an arrogant and deluded oaf!

The Duke of Sussex told The Telegraph he chose to leave out several bombshells because he was concerned his father and brother would not 'ever forgive' him.

'The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.

'There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know. Because I don't think they would ever forgive me.'

Harry also revealed his motivation to speak out so publicly against the Firm is to ultimately 'save [his family] from themselves'.

He detailed plans to derail the relationship between the Royal family and the press, expressing his belief that in doing so he can protect future divisions in the family.

After the dust has settled, he expressed a hope that he and Meghan can reconnect with his family - even if they don't particularly like his decision to share 'his truth'.

😂😂😂😂😂

How is Harry helping to save them from media glare by deliberately dragging them into it in his interview?

How can he do this without talking?

It's either hilarious or it isn't. I think he's shown himself as a nasty piece of work. Not even mildly funny.

It's hilarious

This is true. It's hilarious 😂

Coronateachingagain · 13/01/2023 22:49

The media are awful and will be the media with or without Harry and with or without the RF. When everyone is gone, they still will be there.

So mixing both subjects had no point in the argument. End of

And besides, when Harry doesn't know what else to say to who to blame - blames the media. It's just a technique

Well, wasn't expecting roussette to completely come down on side of PH is right to intervene himself in the parenting of others children.... but was struck by a theme emerging from her posts "simplistic view" 'looking at the bigger picture' - suggesting a distinct hierarchy (oh the irony) in comprehension and insight. Posters on the thread disagreeing with her are just not insightful or capable enough of achieving true enlightenment - a divine right to pronounce.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 13/01/2023 22:50

He is fanatical

I read this yesterday in another context and immediately thought, PH

'Extreme and uncompromising egoist that he was, he possessed to perfection that most dangerous weapon - a complete conviction of his own rightness.'

PH has the unlovely unwavering conviction of the fanatic who will sacrifice anything and anyone to get his way.

Nasty little squirt. Essentially he's threatening his family in the hope of personal gain. There's a name for that.

He really is unspeakable.
He keeps poking bears left, right and centre, going for his brother's children is despicable.

BeepBeenBop · 13/01/2023 22:51

Surely that opening post says there isn’t going to be a sequel? That he cut stuff out to keep it hidden and it doesn’t mention a sequel?

Boulshired · 13/01/2023 22:51

I’ve started to see people of colour turning against him, I do think this will leave some of his vocal television supporters squirming

As far as I can see the only thing Charles II believed in was not having to go on his travels again. His entire reign was dedicated to that end.

Quite. I actually think in his own unique way he really saved the monarchy though (big wobble with his, oh dear, younger brother, what a surprise) but he re established it in a rather less mystical form and made it "stick".

Apologies, I find Charlie a generally more interesting character than Harry Grin Perhaps a few weeks yomping around Shropshire utterly dependent on very ordinary people to even survive the night would do the latter the world of good. Perhaps not this week, though.

Wheresthebeach · 13/01/2023 22:54

He's utterly deluded and beyond arrogant - save the RF from themselves? Fix the monarchy? He's genuinely lost the plot. Rantings of an egomaniac.

lippylippy · 13/01/2023 22:54

This is a shakedown, blackmail. And absolutely no one would tell me how to raise my kids. William must be in shock, what with this and the odd statements about their mother.

smilesy · 13/01/2023 22:55

He tells me that he is “someone who likes to fix things”. “If I see wrongdoing and a pattern of behaviour that is harming people, I will do everything I can to try and change it.” He worries about the other “spares” in the family. “As I know full well, within my family, if it’s not us,” and at this he points at his chest, “it’s going to be someone else. And though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare. And that hurts, that worries me.”

Roussette. This is a direct quote from his interview with Bryony Gordon. He is not talking about the media here, he is talking about William’s children ending up as “spares”. How can he claim he feels responsible for them and yet issue barely veiled attacks on their family?

MoscowMules · 13/01/2023 22:55

Roussette · 13/01/2023 22:47

How can he do this without talking?

But why does he need to be talking about them (the children) in the first place? It's not his place!

Someone needs to bring Will Smith out for a slight amendment.

"Keep my kids names, outta your god damn mouth" 🤣

😲💥👋🏻

You say that they have said they want to be King and Queen of GB. I disputed that.

That is all.

You did say my view was silly then disputed that you said that! Anyway, whatever, I need a cup of tea.

A couple of uncomfortable nights in a tree would do PH the world of good.

Good for William to tell him to stay out of his children's lives...how dare he think he can parent Williams kids better than K&W? I'm not sure what the RF can do, other than ignore him and hope the media loses interest, or he becomes a laughing stock (or ends up in court over 'his truth').

Roussette isn’t given to reporting. She believes in defending herself.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 13/01/2023 23:04

Actually I do wonder if rather than this new blackmail/threat if this will have to have government intervention rather than leaving it to the royal family. Harry has already made himself, our forces and civilians targets for the Taliban by revealing his kill count, he is now trying to undermine the constitution and how are country is viewed on the world stage, all of this won’t be going unnoticed by the real power in this country.

😀 good spotting. Which mansion is that?

The poor Due that doesn't want a RF but won't surrender his titles 🤴

Youwhatnowbiggles · 13/01/2023 23:05

Christ alive - has anyone explained to the deluded idiot that blackmail & extortion is illegal? The self serving tosspot…that’s as polite as it gets from me at this point. Btw, my sympathies right now are for the civilians (men & women) in Kherson (Ukraine) who had their hands boiled, their finger nails pulled out and their facial bones broken & wrecked by Russian soldiers, not with a spoilt princeling wannabe despot.

I think you make a good point there. If that point hasn’t already been reached it must be fast approaching.
