Harry admits to bullying?

I actually really like Will, Kate and Meghan. I am not a massive fan of Harry though. However, this part of Spare makes me feel pretty uneasy. I had not made up my mind on whether I believed the bullying allegations, but I think this proves them true (at least to me.)

Obviously, this is Harry's version of events, and naturally there is two other sides here (the staff + William's side.)

Harry admits to bullying?

He’s done more for the RF in a week than their combined comms operations could achieve in a decade. Imagine having to deal with this for 20 odd years.

Orangefir · 10/01/2023 17:21

Can you imagine the staff assessing/correcting every piece of media that is out there at the moment! Poor buggers

Ticketyboots · 10/01/2023 17:22

watchfulwishes · 10/01/2023 17:12

I agree, if he wants any chance to be free he has to get it all out there, or the family/tabloids will just hold it over him forever.

Hold what over him?

The actual truth of his own behaviour?

Newwardrobe · 10/01/2023 17:26

I'd like to know what the constructive criticism was .

bakalava · 10/01/2023 17:26

He cannot accept who/what is at the heart of the bullying problem. As though it is normal to staff to slump at their desks crying in every workplace. What a pair of nasty, insensitive self-absorbed idiots.

Wibbly1008 · 10/01/2023 17:28

More Harry own goals. If staff said Megan did it, William had his reason to say she needs to stop. It’s not ok because it happens all the time?! Stupid man.

Ticketyboots · 10/01/2023 17:32

This is all tying up very tightly with the Valentine Low expose “Courtiers” published and serialised earlier this year.

Basically H was an indulged brat who’s behaviour was both abhorrent and covered up throughout.

Then MM arrives and maybe she sees this is an acceptable way to behave given how she sees PH behave? So she joins in? It all becomes too much for staff and the RF don’t tolerate it from her as they have done from him? Or they both behave obnoxiously together - backing each other up?

There was an extensive piece by either variety or vanity fair in the US in either 2018 or 2019 where it is mentioned that MM had a reputation at BP/KP for treating her staff callously.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 10/01/2023 17:32

I think there's going to be a few BP staff asking to be released from NDAs at this rate. Did anyone point out to him and his wife that in the age of the internet and SM it is physically impossible to keep on top of all the stories, or did they not dare?

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 10/01/2023 17:34

@Ticketyboots I read that over Christmas and was thinking exactly the same. That even before MM arrived H was very much 'if you're not with me 100% then you're against me.'

Blossomtoes · 10/01/2023 17:35

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the bullying report suddenly saw the light of day and it corroborates all this?

Orangefir · 10/01/2023 17:36

Does anyone know how the NDA will work with the ex Sussex staff?
If he has proffered this info, would they then be allowed to talk about the information that he has now put in the public domain?

It's obvious to all but the most blinkered that the bullying stories are true. For one thing, no denial and no legal action from this most litigious of couples. And now Harry appears to be confirming it.

But I guess we need to see the 'context' and then everything will be OK.

Exactly the problem when you raise legal actions or issue statements for anything and everything .…..it’s very telling when you decide not to. They are telling truth by omission

I don't understand the 'but now the Palace can't hold it over him' argument when it comes to some of these anecdotes. Why would the Palace want to leak stories of Harry being a dickhead years ago? It would just make them look vindictive, and also culpable for having covered up his behaviour for so long.

Exactly that. Whereas now people are marvelling at their patience in tolerating his behaviour for so long and the loyalty of the staff for covering it up.

Exactly.

Harry's main gripe seems to be that 'they' spent years 'briefing against him'.

Yet 'they' had all this information but chose not to release it? So he's telling all now to stop 'them' from blackmailing him? Why would 'they' need to blackmail him? He's got nothing they want.

The word 'context' has been doing a lot of heavy lifting these past few days.

Has it taken over from “mistranslation”? 😂

Beautiful3 · 10/01/2023 17:44

Omg! Horrible Harry and meghan. Vile, vile people. Absolute scum. I cannot fathom why Harry exposed himself in this book? Is he stupid??!

shard5 · 10/01/2023 17:45

I know he's said willy was his nickname for his brother but he's also showing quite a bit of contempt for William by using his supposed nickname when he's complaining about his behaviour.
I always thought a nickname was sort of an affectionate use of a diminutive and there's certainly no affection here

Newwardrobe · 10/01/2023 17:45

Is he stupid

It would appear so!

Yes. And Valentine Low is not some tabloid hack but a respected 'serious' journalist who has stood by his story since the day it was published. Meghan's lawyers were sent a copy of the initial 'Times' article a week before publication, but they couldn't find anything to object to. The stories are true.

And 'The British media are just feeding you the most salacious bits!'

stormywaves · 10/01/2023 17:47

Harry is a bully. He knows his family cannot hit back so he is on a self indulgent drunken rant right now in retaliation for not getting his own way. He says he wants a family, not an institution but hangs onto the HRH titles that 100% link him to the institution that he says he hates.

Admittedly those titles are his and M money makers but even so, if he lives a quieter life away from the media he won't need to be raising millions for the private security he says he needs.

”constant stream of errors”

”more than once …. staff wept”

I though these are the “compassionate”, touchy-feely ones…

I respect PW for apparently caring about the staff but KP/BP isn’t looking very good as an employer.
