Just read this on Twitter

Any communication between the Sussexs and the institution will be by the Law firm representing the Royal family.

Harry can no longer get through to his father, brother, not even their aides.

All communications is now via the palace lawyers.

Quite, she had an extremely handsome boyfriend that also happened to be a billionaire and spent most of her days on yachts and travelling the world! Mother Theresa she certainly wasn't!
She did love her boys, but lets not rewrite history. Diana certainly knew how to enjoy herself and put herself front and centre of her own life. Not unlike someone else we all know. The apple thus does not fall from the tree.

I recall from the time a Private Eye feature, they got the Sunday papers' stories written before she died and they were obviously rewritten. Almost every one was critical of her and her rackety lifestyle with the likes of the Fayeds, once she died she was beatified by the same editors. It's very refreshing that 25 years on people are more realistic in their opinions of her.

ivykaty44 · 10/01/2023 12:26

Lol. That will eat up the ill gotten proceeds from their Netflix mockumentary and the whinge fest book quite quickly.

why? Harry doesn't have to contact them using solicitors - he can go directly to the RF solicitor if he wishes to make contact

Magnoliasunrise · 10/01/2023 12:28

If it is true then no surpise - the RF surely can't have any genuine conversations with Harry and Meghan and not worry how it will be misconstrued or end up in another book/film/series/podcast.....

CuntyChopss · 10/01/2023 12:30

I wish people could get this worked up about actual important things. Gimps.

Is there a source?

RoseMadderAsHell · 10/01/2023 12:40

hoppityscotch · 10/01/2023 12:31

Is there a source?

no, it's just from a random twitter post.
Nothing to stop you voicing your opinion "as if" it was true, loads of other poster have.

Now what Harry has admitted to now (in his book so he actually said it) is smoking drugs, whilst in the US after they moved there. So now, not only does he have drugs history (in the UK) but has broken the law whilst there in recent times. I really would like to know what sort of visa he’s on. And by the by, if you want an advert to how hash/weed and it’s more powerful forms generally turn you into an a-hole (& mess with your mental health) this is it!!

I couldn’t agree with you more! Drugs do have a very damaging effect on your brain. I suppose most people think they will ‘get away with it’. I don’t believe this is ever true. PH seems to have a very selective memory, and chooses not to address lies which he and Meghan have told.

I wish they would come clean and admit that Meghan was never going to live in the UK, and curtsey to Camilla or Catherine. They just thought they could live elsewhere and still be fully protected and financially supported by the RF.

I take it this subject isn't your bag Cunty

And yet here you are

ClaireEclair · 10/01/2023 12:59

There’s no source for this. The Twitter account is not clear about what they mean.

Wheresthebeach · 10/01/2023 13:02

I kinda hope it's true. H&M need to have no more fodder to share and sell. The only way to do it is to go NC. They can then talk about their life, do reality TV shows, and play at politics in the US and leave the RF, and the UK out of their next 'tell all'. MM book will be even worse. I do wonder if the RF have any legal recourse to stopping the publication of texts etc. I can't imagine they expected it from Harry, but now that MM is publishing a book they know what to expect.

Youwhatnowbiggles · 10/01/2023 09:21

Omg, fact check alert - do you always take random Twitter reports as verbatim truth?! Although would be very wise😂

This. It's beyond ridiculous how people just don't check anymore and believe any old shit they read in the media!
Utterly embarrassing.
Does anyone try and fact check anymore when they read something or is it just me?!

Intheroommadeasy · 10/01/2023 13:20

Sure it's not real but it's not a bad idea!

Fraine · 10/01/2023 13:23

There is nothing royal about this family, they sound like trailer trash.

Cherry60 · 10/01/2023 13:26

If it's true, it would make a lot of sense from the RF point of view. No more dispute about who said/did what as of now and will cut off his as source of fodder for books interviews etc

fluffi · 10/01/2023 13:27

This is probably fake news but I hope it’s true

Given all the personal and private conversations and situations that Harry has publicly described I wouldn’t be having another conversation with him without a lawyer present and an NDA, on principle!

They shouldn’t give him any more “material” for books, interviews or articles. He can’t be trusted.

howmanybicycles · 10/01/2023 13:31

I don't think it's true, but honestly it's what I'd do if I were them. H&M seem to find it hard to properly listen and they have no sense of breaching people's privacy. Telling people that your dad has a teddy bear with him still is indefensibly awful and can not be seen as anything other than bullying. Sure, some people might have known already but that does not justify spreading it. There is no public interest in this and Harry is a disgusting human being for doing this to someone else - anyone else. Anything you say to him may be published and may be warped first.

some of the vague accusations he has made may have a basis in truth but that still does not give him a right to fling off vague accusations and break confidentiality.

Majority of comments on her are with the caveat “if it’s true’, not everyone believes the tweet is gospel, they are discussing the possibility and if it is a good idea or not, personally I think that is exactly what the royal family should do, no contact only via lawyers.

Now now @LadyVictoriaSponge don't spoil it with logic. These people do enjoy being supercilious, don't take it away from them :D

WinnieFosterReads · 10/01/2023 13:42

It's not true. Even the tweet thread shows that it has nothing to do with communication with the Sussexes. ABC reached out to BP for comment/response on Harry's interview. BP's lawyers asked ABC for a copy then they'd consider their reply.
It makes perfect sense for BP to use lawyers for communications with media companies when Netflix said they'd emailed BP for a response to their documentary and BP hadn't replied. But BP asked for confirmation it was a valid request and didn't receive it. By using lawyers, everyone knows who contacted who and when.

overthink4r · 10/01/2023 13:51

caringcarer · 10/01/2023 08:49

That will dry up material for Harry's future books.

Very good point!!

crosstalk · 10/01/2023 14:07

@vera99

This is a random twitter post. Based on the fact the US TV station(s) have asked the Royal Family for comment on one or other of Harry's interviews. Any person, RF or not, would actually want to see the content of the interviews before commenting and do so via lawyers. If that content is not forthcoming from the TV station in a timely fashion, or they refuse to provide the full transcript, the RF or anyone else would decline to comment.

This does NOT mean to say that Harry cannot pick up the phone to his family. Or write to them. He and they both need to be able to talk at some length so would need to do the call at a convenient time for a ?11 hour? time disparity and all the commitments both sides have.

Dodie66 · 10/01/2023 14:24

I asked MN to look at my post because people were complaining about it not being true and they said they can’t see anything wrong with it and won’t delete it

@Dodie66 People attack anything that is not 100% pro the Royal Family.
The Royal Family going no contact with Harry can be seen as a positive or negative so is not liked.

Dodie66 · 10/01/2023 14:29

It would be a very positive thing if the RF had decided to communicate via their lawyers FTB, to keep the heat off and focus on the essentials until emotions on all sides have calmed down. An unknown twitter account however, can hardly be seen as a reliable source?
