Just read this on Twitter

Any communication between the Sussexs and the institution will be by the Law firm representing the Royal family.

Harry can no longer get through to his father, brother, not even their aides.

All communications is now via the palace lawyers.

What is your question?

Onnabugeisha · 10/01/2023 08:34

Lol. That will eat up the ill gotten proceeds from their Netflix mockumentary and the whinge fest book quite quickly.

BlueKaftan · 10/01/2023 08:36

They are less likely to get bullied and physically assaulted this way. Excellent news.

HappyBinosaur · 10/01/2023 08:36

@Sparklingbrook does OP have to have a question?

It won't cost Harry anything. He doesn't get charged the royal family will.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 10/01/2023 08:36

Very sensible. That way no-one can be misquoted or get pushed into a dog bowl after a fight.

Sparklingbrook · 10/01/2023 08:37

HappyBinosaur · 10/01/2023 08:36

@Sparklingbrook does OP have to have a question?

Generally yes. But it's ok, I have just realised this is The Royal Family topic which I am sure I have hidden, and for some reason it has appeared again. Confused So I'll be off. grin]

picklemewalnuts · 10/01/2023 08:37

That's a response from the palace, then. As opposed to a statement, IYSWIM.

Presumably the Sussexes' lawyers will contact the royal lawyers - which will cost the Sussexes each time

EarlyYearsMe · 10/01/2023 08:38

Well if everything Harry is saying is true, I’m sure he would welcome this…

Knobknob · 10/01/2023 08:38

It's it on twitter it must be true

bizzywiththefizzy · 10/01/2023 08:39

Wow that speaks volumes . "Dad can't come to phone right now ' you'll be put through to his Lawyer ." Ouch .

60smusic · 10/01/2023 08:42

Oh wow, well I guess they need to protect themselves and as they are not speaking out this is their way of telling him to do one.

Coffeecreme · 10/01/2023 08:44

that is not a genuine tweet

Lindy2 · 10/01/2023 08:44

I don't blame them.

The alternative is no contact at all. This is one step before that.

How could anyone be comfortable ever talking to him again.

Onnabugeisha · 10/01/2023 08:46

OhhhhhhhhBiscuits · 10/01/2023 08:36

Don’t be daft. Harry will have to use his own lawyer to communicate with the palace lawyers. The palace lawyers are on permanent retainer- so won’t cost the royal family a penny extra.

merrymelodies · 10/01/2023 08:47

More drama 🙄

caringcarer · 10/01/2023 08:49

That will dry up material for Harry's future books.

Annoyingwurringnoise · 10/01/2023 08:51

Is that the royal version of being blocked?

StarsSand · 10/01/2023 08:55

This seems unnecessarily spiteful from the RF.

There's nothing to suggest he was contacting them or even trying to. He quite consistently said he wanted space and time from them.

How sad and ugly.

Swissmountains · 10/01/2023 08:55

Well who can possibly blame them? They put up with the Oprah interview and left the door ajar, they put up with the relentless attacks. Enough has to be enough.

I would sue Harry and Meghan's arses from here to kingdom come for defamation and never speak to them again in their position.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 10/01/2023 08:56

Annoyingwurringnoise · 10/01/2023 08:51

Nuclear option, I imagine. We don't want to talk to you. Someone's lost patience with it all, and I don't blame them.

Do you seriously expect them to continue to be attacked relentlessly over and over again and still invite the exploiters for garden parties and family occasions?

The trust has entirely broken down now.
At some point the royal family have to protect themselves and their children.

Harry has gone too far and has caused way too much damage.

PoinsettiaPosturing · 10/01/2023 08:58

If my child publicly went against their sibling and slagged off the entire extended family so publicly, I would find it very hard to come back from that in terms of a parent/child relationship

faffadoodledo · 10/01/2023 08:58

lawyers will talk to lawyers and that will cost a pretty penny. We won't be talking high street solicitors here either. Minimum £500 per hour I'd say.
