Just read this on Twitter

Any communication between the Sussexs and the institution will be by the Law firm representing the Royal family.

Harry can no longer get through to his father, brother, not even their aides.

All communications is now via the palace lawyers.

Why does anyone think this tweet is genuine or true in any way?

AngryGoblin · 10/01/2023 10:37

I don't blame them. I wouldn't be having any conversations directly with them either.

trucklebrunch · 10/01/2023 10:40

I would imagine Harry knew full well he was severing any final ties to his family with a tell all book and all the interviews.

He would immediately cut off friends who spoke about him in public, so he understands the need for his family to di the same.

I hope this is the last we hear about the RF from him, once he has zero contact and no more opportunity to gather stories and report back on personal conversations. I hope they don't try to return to the UK or attend any royal events.

I also hope M and H find peace and happiness in their new life, and he can heal.

All this sanctification of Diana. She wasn't there for her kids. She could have been, but she preferred to leave them to staff and and adopt a jet set life style. She wasn't killed stone cold sober on the school run either. She was a flawed as the rest of us. And them.

purpledalmation · 10/01/2023 10:42

Good. Fuck off Harry with you leaking stories about your family.

Morestrangethings · 10/01/2023 10:44

LuluBlakey1 · 10/01/2023 10:24

I don't think that's official. It was a response to a request by a tv channel. Has there been an actual statement?

Exactly Lulu. And the people on this thread are responding to a nonsense tweet.

Quite, she had an extremely handsome boyfriend that also happened to be a billionaire and spent most of her days on yachts and travelling the world! Mother Theresa she certainly wasn't!
She did love her boys, but lets not rewrite history. Diana certainly knew how to enjoy herself and put herself front and centre of her own life. Not unlike someone else we all know. The apple thus does not fall from the tree.

The case has his sandwiches in. One round of white bread with cheese spread, a frube and some pom bears.

Like Paddington Bear🤣

Sorry to bust your bubble but we have two more books to endure first.
And then Meg's memoirs.

It is not healing time any time soon, if ever. Sadly for us, sadly for them. Especially sadly for their kids.

It is the good old sussex gravy train that will keep on thundering along all whilst there are dollars to be made.

I don't blame Harry. His family made his mothers life hell. His stepmother the reason the marriage ended. His mum dies, father does not seem to step up. He does everything with wills and Kate. Meets someone who they don't try with by the sounds of it, meanwhile they all leak stories about him and his wife to make them look better and don't defend the fake news.

I'm surprised he didn't tell them all to sod off sooner. If he'd come on here stating everything that had happened you'd all be saying go no contact. He is saying he's had enough with the press, the establishment and while he wants a relationship with his family it will be on his terms now. His family is now his wife and children.

All seems pretty admirable to me.

But why not give his story for free to the press or donate all funds to charity? He's out to make a quick buck!

CloudPop · 10/01/2023 10:55

Why stories got leaked to the the press about Harry and Meghan - admittedly I don't pay close attention, but I don't remember anything particular ? There was the thing about the avocados but I think the other stuff just have passed me by

Crabo · 10/01/2023 11:04

I don’t have much time for Piers Morgan but he did point out the obvious - that Harry is doing vastly more in spades what he is accusing others of doing. Using the press as a weapon. The lack of self-awareness is monumental. I suppose this is what we get when you adopt a Hollywood lifestyle surrounded by flunkies whose job it is to tell you that your every move and utterance is born of perfection. There can be no criticism of Harry and his beloved wife as they are beyond it in their own minds. They are champions of their cult and are sinLessly perfect in it. All they do is look down on others less worthy of themselves and pass judgement on them

Toomanycars · 10/01/2023 11:07

StarsSand · 10/01/2023 08:55

This seems unnecessarily spiteful from the RF.

There's nothing to suggest he was contacting them or even trying to. He quite consistently said he wanted space and time from them.

How sad and ugly.

😂😂😂

But presumably you wouldn’t also be saying you still think half in half out could work, and you can envisage yourself working in the commonwealth in a royal capacity?

Motorina · 10/01/2023 09:15

Come on. It's an anonymous twitter feed that even a cursory glance shows has a clear agenda. It's about as reliable a source as a pickled egg.

well said @Motorina

Perhaps a helpful side effect of the slight ambiguity (it appears MN has picked up 'the ball' & run with it, anyway...) is testing public response to RF lawyering up?

Serenster · 10/01/2023 11:13

There was the thing about the avocados but I think the other stuff just have passed me by

The avocados had nothing to do with the Palace.

On 20 January 2019 Meghan’s sometime makeup artist Daniel Martin posted a shot of avocado toast on Instagram and thanking Meghan for hosting him that weekend and still being “the avocado whisperer”.

On 22 January 2019 the Mail ran an article headlined “How Meghan’s favourite avocado snack - beloved of all millennials - is fuelling human rights abuses, drought and murder”. They specifically referred to Daniel Martin’s instagram image as the hook for their story.

(As an aide, I thought the attention this headline got is ridiculous. Meghan’s being shoehorned into an article about avocado production because she’s very popular and the Mail know people will therefore read their article. It’s also a completely “nothing” article - avocado production is bad for the environment. It used to be quinoa the press made that point about. The very definition of clickbait. And if anyone thinks the Palace actually needed to make an official statement saying “Yes Meghan likes avocados but she does not condone environmentally damaging farming practices” when this was published then I think you are being quite ridiculous!).

Imagine a discussion board being about discussing things.

It's almost like all conversations don't have to be taken that seriously and people can chat about whatever they want, even if it's just musing and a bit of what-iffing over a tweet which may or may not be grounded in partial or full fact, or complete fiction and if you're not into the discussion, find one you are interested in.

Annoyingwurringnoise · 10/01/2023 08:51

Is that the royal version of being blocked?

I think it is😂🫣

JoyPeaceHealth · 10/01/2023 11:21

Wow, I wonder if that's true. I feel sorry for Harry, he's to blame for all of this but I still feel sorry for him right now.

Crabo · 10/01/2023 11:25

‘The Duke says that he wants to repair the relationship with his father and brother. He is either completely disingenuous, or an idiot. Whatever feelings the King and Prince have for him personally, there is no possibility they will have any conversation with him while knowing that his account of it will be promptly sold to the highest bidder for broadcast. Nobody would.’

@Dodie66 - bloody hell, dramatic thread title or what 🤣🤣

Did you even read/comprehend the content properly. That’s a load of bollocks, it’s in relation to one of the interviews he was giving.

I am not a fan of H&M. But posting crap like this looks as though you’re scraping the barrel to find negative content.

They are less likely to get bullied and physically assaulted this way. Excellent news.

Because of course they daily live in fear of H's relatives crossing the Atlantic Ocean secretly, and suddenly turning up on their doorstep and physically assaulting them. Are you serious?

Patineur · 10/01/2023 11:28

If this is true, I suspect it's the RF signalling that they're fed up of their attempts at personal communication being misrepresented at every turn and they need everything to be on record through lawyers so it can't be twisted.

Kate and William's children are old enough to be aware of the damaging attacks on them, Charlotte especially has been singled out.

There is no way on god's earth I would allow anyone to use my child, in this way, on a global stage like a tennis ball by their own uncle and be exploited and embarrassed like this. What parent would ever stand by and allow this?

Charlotte has to go to school, and face all of the publicity herself. She is very young.
The fact the sussexes brought her into this at all was another way to hurt and attack William.

Going for someone's defenceless young kids is NEVER a good idea, and I suggest it has indeed been the last straw.

This story 'leaked' as MM making Kate cry. It didn't originally come from the Sussexes. They were not the ones to put this story into the public domain. It ws all well while MM's name was being dragged through the press as the villain.

When the Sussexes responded in kind ie publicly - its think of 'poor Charlotte'.

Viviennemary · 10/01/2023 11:32

The subject heading is completely wrong. A news agency was referred to lawyers not Harry.
