Just read this on Twitter

Any communication between the Sussexs and the institution will be by the Law firm representing the Royal family.

Harry can no longer get through to his father, brother, not even their aides.

All communications is now via the palace lawyers.

I can well imagine this could be the case. If you were in the shoes of anyone in the RF or their staff would you trust Harry to not publicise anything you ever wrote in a tweet or email? Would you trust him to not record and publicise any phone call? Giving it all his own spin of course. Maybe missing out parts that give it context or put him in a bad light. Because I certainly wouldn’t.

As a parent I would never of let it get to the stage my child had to leave the country. I would of worked with them to let then have their half in and out solution

Handing Harry and Meghan much more classified information on a plate!

They are a danger to international relations.

JinglingSpringbells · 10/01/2023 09:56

@Dodie66 you do realise that's not an official RF account you have posted the link to? It's a parody.

Shelefttheweb · 10/01/2023 09:57

faffadoodledo · 10/01/2023 08:58

lawyers will talk to lawyers and that will cost a pretty penny. We won't be talking high street solicitors here either. Minimum £500 per hour I'd say.

That would still take a few years to eat through $120 million.

JinglingSpringbells · 10/01/2023 09:57

Please don't take the link at face value.

It's a wind up. It's not an official or authentic announcement.

There is no legal basis for a restraining order.

The Royals have went no contact with Harry.

There might be a legal basis to sue on the basis of slander, defamation and libel etc. Harry's books and interviews are literally littered with them. If the Royal Family were so inclined they could certainly sue now, and if that were to be the case other orders are also possible. I would not want Uncle Harry near my children after this. Other conditions would most definitely be considered.

Shelefttheweb · 10/01/2023 09:57

That would still take a few years to eat through $120 million.

They still have to pay for all of their mansions, security, private jets etc, it does not take long to chomp through this number in LA and when you have made yourself and your family the number one target of the Taliban.

katem39 · 10/01/2023 09:59

Bullshit. Why do you have to believe everything you read on Twitter? Use your brains for a change!!

Plumbear2 · 10/01/2023 10:01

Crabo · 10/01/2023 09:13

Just to make it clear:
The Royal family’s lawyers asked a US broadcaster to hand over the Duke of Sussex’s latest interview, as he expressed concern for royal children and suggested that Queen Elizabeth II was powerless to help him.
A legal firm acting for Buckingham Palace contacted ABC while the Duke’s Good Morning America interview was on air, saying it needed to consider exactly what was said and “the context in which it appears” in order to have the opportunity to respond.
Royal sources insisted it was a standard “right of reply” letter, but it raised the prospect that they were concerned about something specific that the Duke may have said.

I've seen this aswell. By royal children do they mean Williams kids, Harry kids or both?

But they don't have that sort of money.

Some people here seem to think that the supposed amount for their media 'deals' was wired straight to their bank accounts in full, to be used as they wish. That's not how these things work. Even if the NF 'deal' is worth as much as is claimed, which has never been confirmed, that will be production deal, out of which the money to fund the projects will have to be paid, as well as taxes and lots of other expenses. Their net profit will only be a fraction of the stated amount. And they have a very expensive lifestyle.

Hearmeout · 10/01/2023 10:02

I think after his comments about the taliban he may have bigger fish to fry than the problems with his birth family. I fear he's put himself and his family in real danger now.

watcherintherye · 10/01/2023 10:02

If you read down a bit from the original Twitter post, it’s ABC News which contacted BP and KP for comments and received a reply from BP lawyers. How does that mean that Harry can’t talk to his father or brother. Talk about a stretch!

Tamarindtree · 10/01/2023 10:04

That’s a shame if true as I was hoping that all of the Royal Family would sit down together in a united front and make a video call to him and all flip the bird at him whilst Charles tells him and Meghan that they are being stripped of their titles and cut out all their wills so they can’t inherit money, property or jewellery.

SammyScrounge · 10/01/2023 10:05

StarsSand · 10/01/2023 08:55

This seems unnecessarily spiteful from the RF.

There's nothing to suggest he was contacting them or even trying to. He quite consistently said he wanted space and time from them.

How sad and ugly.

After. the Sussexes left these shores for Canada, there was a story that Charles stopped taking Harry's calls because all Harry did was demand money.
Harry is obsessive to the point of tedium. It must be murder being his father.
The other problem that arises with speaking to Harry is that he exposes whatever you say
to the whole world if he takes it into his head that he has found another grievance., or another way to hurt you or ridicule you.
He does seem an unpleasant person.

Up to now Harry has steered the narrative and everything has been going their way, but at some point something much bigger, that they didn't envisage or plan for is going to land in their laps.

The law of unintended consequences is a thing.

When you go out in the wild west you need to be prepared for the shots to run both ways eventually.

According to sources ( which I accept may not be true but there have been no denials) The Queen was becoming stressed by Harry’s frequent calls in the weeks before her death .

Spambod · 10/01/2023 10:08

I wonder if the royal family have done this in a desperate attempt to keep communication with Harry private.if all communication is stamped and agreed as legally private.
if so I am not sure it will work. Harry is determined to make money from any communication.
they will I imagine have been advised to do this as Harry is accusing William of a crime and his statements about camilla are defamatory.

oakleaffy · 10/01/2023 10:08

Coffeecreme · 10/01/2023 08:44

that is not a genuine tweet

It’s a fake account , agreed.
Not Royal family
They wouldn’t put this on Twitter, surely.

Plumbear2 · 10/01/2023 10:01

I took it as the Wales children but maybe it was the wider family .
I really think Harry needs to shut up . He is - in many people’s opinion- unwell .

MissMarpleRocks · 10/01/2023 10:11

This doesn’t look genuine to me but I wouldn’t blame them if it was true.

vera99 · 10/01/2023 10:13

Ok KP if you want to go nuclear then Harry blow the whole thing up !

Nurserymumm · 10/01/2023 10:13

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 10/01/2023 09:16

You don't mess with the Palace as we have seen time & time again

I said right at the start that BP has generations of experience in handling dodgy family members and PH will not win this one.

@MrsDanversGlidesAgain same, for crying out loud Harry saw what happened his poor mother.. I think it's safe to say that no matter what is thrown at the Crown, the crown always wins.. Harry should know all this unless someone is whispering in his ear that he's bigger than the crown🤔

Museya15 · 10/01/2023 10:15

I can’t believe he is throwing mud at Paul Burrell for milking cash from his friendship with Diana. Look what he is doing, massive blinkered hypocrite.

midsomermurderess · 10/01/2023 10:16

It seems like a sensible course of action. Harry will doubtless tantrum for a while, but in the long term it should take some of the heat out if it. It’s not reasonable to expect anyone to leave themselves open to highly volatile attacks on themselves without putting some kind of buffer in place.

Nurserymumm · 10/01/2023 10:16

50shadesofneigh · 10/01/2023 09:25

Harry has put an even bigger target on his back with the Taliban comments. He's also completely alienated any chance he had of having a royal role, even the outreach American/Canadian one he wanted, so will get no security. He has a man with a glock gun case following his every move. The book and netflix money is going to run out very quickly and no one is now going to want to be tarnished with the archetype brand. Not great.

Meghan might not last much longer either if the moneys running out 🤔
