Just read this on Twitter

Any communication between the Sussexs and the institution will be by the Law firm representing the Royal family.

Harry can no longer get through to his father, brother, not even their aides.

All communications is now via the palace lawyers.

I think if this was true it would have been reported in the media, unless it's about to be reported. I'll take it with a pinch of salt, although it would be a wise move by the palace. I can't quite get my head around Harry, what does he think the outcome to all this will be?

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 10/01/2023 09:33

As a parent I would never of let it get to the stage my child had to leave the country. I would of worked with them to let then have their half in and out solution

So you'd have given them exactly what they were demanding, however unreasonable and unworkable and whatever the cost to the rest of the family and the institution. The queen didn't just have to consider family - she had to consider the institution as well

kirinm · 10/01/2023 09:34

Everyone accepts a tweet as factual but anything in Harry's book needs hard evidence?

Do any posters notice their hypocrisy?

If true? short term another whinge fest along the lines of 'See how unreasonable my family is? I can't even talk to them now!'

Serenster · 10/01/2023 09:03

I think this is overblown. Someone on twitter is extrapolating based on one fact. The Communication Team has told ABC News that queries about one of its interview with Harry should go through their lawyers. That is true.

There has been no statement, however, and there’s nothing to suggest, that this refers to all communications, including communications from the family themselves.

(Meghan and Harry wouldn’t have to engage their own lawyers to talk to someone else’s lawyers unless they chose to, that’s not how it works)

Yes, it's fake news

It's not true, so it won't be.

Choconut · 10/01/2023 09:36

But what will he write his future books on? I'm sad it's come to this for all concerned but I don't blame the RF if it's true. I think at this point it's better for all of them, H and M included. I also think it's played right into MM hands, this is exactly what she wanted IMO, for Harry to have nothing to do with any of them. He's picked a side, I just hope for his sake it's the right one.

BradfordGirl · 10/01/2023 09:37

So the Royal Family have gone no contact with Harry.

Choconut · 10/01/2023 09:37

If it's not true then the OP should have this thread taken down IMO.

AutumnCrow · 10/01/2023 09:38

LegoAmies · 10/01/2023 09:31

Possibly, but he clearly draws attention to the fact he is a VIP victim who is under threat and is dramatising it for effect, all that hurrying into the studio with his posse looking around nervously, it's a bit B movie 😂

Yes, it's got a dramatic touch of Sussex Has Fallen around it, but without the acting talent of Gerard Butler.

Felix01 · 10/01/2023 09:40

If they keep carrying on I'd apply for a restraining order. The RF have acted very restrained . By sharing the texts about Charlotte have dragged a young child into this. It's vile behaviour you might not like your ILs but children are off limits and deserve their privacy.

Fragrantandfoolish · 10/01/2023 09:41

This is bullshit and fake news. Of course harry can phone his father.

CPL593H · 10/01/2023 09:44

StormzyinaTCup · 10/01/2023 09:17

I liked the 'Glock-in-a-Box' for show (because in a box would not be super useful in a security emergency!) Alternatively, and in light of his self advertised 'kill count' has Glock spotted an opportunity to get in there quick smart sign with a sponsorship deal.

Risible isn't it? I looks so unprofessional. We all know the Met bodyguards and the US presidents Secret service are carrying, they don't wander around like an Instagram influencer showing off a purchase from Chanel.

It was reported that the royal family do not have the 'appetite' for any communications with Harry.

(Telegraph)

Understandably, they are reported to be 'deeply wounded' by Harry's latest salvos.
I don't think anyone will be taking calls from Harry anytime soon.

Swissmountains · 10/01/2023 09:46

A restraining order is not unreasonable.

I’m not sure this Twitter post actually says that - or is written by anyone with insider knowledge.

No it's bollocks

They are less likely to get bullied and physically assaulted this way. Excellent news.

Absolutely. Stop the abusers by making all contact through legal channels. Receipts for everything.

BradfordGirl · 10/01/2023 09:49

Swissmountains · 10/01/2023 09:46

A restraining order is not unreasonable.

There is no legal basis for a restraining order.

The Royals have went no contact with Harry.

diddl · 10/01/2023 09:51

The video of him geeting out of the car in NY is hilarious.

More people seem to exit from the car than are on the street!

TheFairyCaravan · 10/01/2023 09:52

Christ on a bike! Someone on Twitter called posts something that they’ve misunderstood based on one response to a particular interview, yet some of you lot lap it up as gospel. It’s like Chinese whispers.

Common sense is very rare nowadays.

Wheresthebeach · 10/01/2023 09:52

I doubt its true, but frankly I wouldn't blame them. Publishing stuff about Charlotte, texts from Kate, Charles sleeping with a teddy bear etc he's invaded their privacy to an appalling extent. The one sided attacks and attempts to destroy his brothers reputation are astonishing. I certainly think the RF going NC with them is the only option now - every conversation will be leaked, to support Harry's cause. There is no way they can talk to him, and no way this can be sorted.

lightand · 10/01/2023 09:52

StarsSand · 10/01/2023 09:06

@Swissmountains

If they don't want to invite them to garden parties etc they can simply not invite them.

Why do lawyers need to be involved?!

Sometimes bringing a lawyer in, or threatening to, just escalates things and makes it worse.

Harry's entitled to his opinions. There's no legal issue here.

Well there is I would have thought, as regards slander and libel.

Inferring the Royal Family or someone in it is racist.
Then backpeddling.

Any number of things Haryy "recollects" could be slanderous or libelous?

lightand · 10/01/2023 09:54

Choconut · 10/01/2023 09:36

Everything going just as Meghan is with her own family.

Emotionalsupportviper · 10/01/2023 09:54

StarsSand · 10/01/2023 08:55

This seems unnecessarily spiteful from the RF.

There's nothing to suggest he was contacting them or even trying to. He quite consistently said he wanted space and time from them.

How sad and ugly.

Really?

I think the RF have shown admirable restraint,

Harry's behaviour has been appalling, and seems to be getting worse, he's not only treated family like filth but endangered the lives of serving troops. What a little snot!
