Just read this on Twitter

Any communication between the Sussexs and the institution will be by the Law firm representing the Royal family.

Harry can no longer get through to his father, brother, not even their aides.

All communications is now via the palace lawyers.

Fake news.

Harry being escorted by armed body guards on his way to yet another interview bitching session and all his staff looking around nervously is faux as well. What a puerile spectacle.

I liked the 'Glock-in-a-Box' for show (because in a box would not be super useful in a security emergency!) Alternatively, and in light of his self advertised 'kill count' has Glock spotted an opportunity to get in there quick smart sign with a sponsorship deal.

shard5 · 10/01/2023 09:19

Self preservation by the RF. Which in a way tells us they believe Harry has twisted lots of the conversations between them to suit his agenda and the RF are saying no more!

RudsyFarmer · 10/01/2023 09:19

Every communication makes its way into a future book so it’s the safest way surely.

Swissmountains · 10/01/2023 09:19

I might also add that given the situation is now so grave, and for all of the jokes and memes on here, there are legal issues now definitely at play. Defamation for one.

Charles will probably find it very hard to close the door to his son, but he needs to now for the protection of all of his family. Harry has gone entirely rogue and the writing was on the wall years ago.

shard5 · 10/01/2023 09:20

If it's true I hope Harry is asked about his take on it tonight on the Colbert? Show. Not sure if that's the right host but I read on here yesterday he's giving a live interview

flapjackfairy · 10/01/2023 09:20

And surely Harry will need armed security now for himself and his family due to his remarks on his role in the military. I would've thought that was obvious

Youwhatnowbiggles · 10/01/2023 09:21

Omg, fact check alert - do you always take random Twitter reports as verbatim truth?! Although would be very wise😂

Yes it is going to be very expensive for the successes going forward, as they won't win the legal case here.

Swissmountains · 10/01/2023 09:22

Sussexes even! Grin

EileenAdler · 10/01/2023 09:22

Well if it’s on Twitter it must be true.

Harry has in part confirmed something along those lines, as he said he hasn't spoken to his father, brother etc for 'a good long while'

50shadesofneigh · 10/01/2023 09:23

I do hope that's true and it seems sadly necessary, but will wait for a verified source to back it up first...

IcedPurple · 10/01/2023 09:23

Has this been confirmed or is it just through the usual 'sources'?

If it is true I think it is a very good idea.

If my child publicly went against their sibling and slagged off the entire extended family so publicly, I would find it very hard to come back from that in terms of a parent/child relationship

As a parent I would never of let it get to the stage my child had to leave the country. I would of worked with them to let then have their half in and out solution

50shadesofneigh · 10/01/2023 09:25

Harry has put an even bigger target on his back with the Taliban comments. He's also completely alienated any chance he had of having a royal role, even the outreach American/Canadian one he wanted, so will get no security. He has a man with a glock gun case following his every move. The book and netflix money is going to run out very quickly and no one is now going to want to be tarnished with the archetype brand. Not great.

DerangedViper · 10/01/2023 09:25

It's not been confirmed.

Someone at the US end has leaked a Palace lawyer's request for a full transcript of the programme.

That's all

Youwhatnowbiggles · 10/01/2023 09:26

Now what Harry has admitted to now (in his book so he actually said it) is smoking drugs, whilst in the US after they moved there. So now, not only does he have drugs history (in the UK) but has broken the law whilst there in recent times. I really would like to know what sort of visa he’s on. And by the by, if you want an advert to how hash/weed and it’s more powerful forms generally turn you into an a-hole (& mess with your mental health) this is it!!

Quveas · 10/01/2023 09:26

Knobknob · 10/01/2023 08:38

It's it on twitter it must be true

Quite - and it doesn't even say what is claimed on this thread anyway! It says that ABC news asked for a comment and where told that KP declined to comment, and BP answered through a law firm.

Proudofitbabe · 10/01/2023 09:27

StarsSand · 10/01/2023 08:55

This seems unnecessarily spiteful from the RF.

There's nothing to suggest he was contacting them or even trying to. He quite consistently said he wanted space and time from them.

How sad and ugly.

Lol. It's definitely sad and ugly, but it sure isn't the RF being "unnecessarily spiteful".

The half-in half-out model had been tried by the Wessexes. And look how that ended. I can see exactly why it won't be done again.

Lots of families have DC who emigrate. It's not that terrible a thing

Swissmountains · 10/01/2023 09:29

The next thing will be that the US federal department will withdraw Harry's visa, wouldn't that be a wonderful bit of karma right there.

Surely they can't just ignore what he has just disclosed?

Squirespot · 10/01/2023 09:30

Swissmountains · 10/01/2023 08:57

Do you seriously expect them to continue to be attacked relentlessly over and over again and still invite the exploiters for garden parties and family occasions?

The trust has entirely broken down now.
At some point the royal family have to protect themselves and their children.

Harry has gone too far and has caused way too much damage.

This, they are actually human and need to protect themselves from the relentless onslaught being thrown so publicly at them. I expect once Meghan has left Harry, then his lawyers will ask for forgiveness on his behalf. Up to the family at that stage if they give it. I would guess PW won't.

jays · 10/01/2023 09:31

BlueKaftan · 10/01/2023 08:36

They are less likely to get bullied and physically assaulted this way. Excellent news.

I agree!

LegoAmies · 10/01/2023 09:31

BabyFour2023 · 10/01/2023 09:17

He needs armed guards now after his taliban comments!

Possibly, but he clearly draws attention to the fact he is a VIP victim who is under threat and is dramatising it for effect, all that hurrying into the studio with his posse looking around nervously, it's a bit B movie 😂

It's not true

It's an over interpretation of one request for the transcript

Now, maybe the RF will want to have third parties present for interactions in future to reduce the scope for misrepresentation (this has been rumoured for a couple of years now)

Why lawyers? Dunno - would it have looked any better from a courtier? It would still be over-interpreted by some on twitter as "WAH they're out to get them"
