Charles didn't publish that did he. Didn't someone hack his phone or something. I'm pretty sure (and yes I know I don't know him) that he wouldn't have sold that story so it is a bit different to Harry deliberately making his story public.

I think that information was from phone hacking. Harry has offered up these delights all on his own. You'd also think that having to live through the embarrassment of his father wanting to be a tampon he would have thought better than to do that to his own children.

As someone with a older sibling who was definitely dominant when we were children , who’s lovely but who admitted when tipsy that she knows exactly how to play our parents so that she is advantaged to my cost, I can totally empathise that the royal family model might not suit him once he’s married. A model where children of the monarch end up siblings to the monarch and therefore the eldest sibling will forever remain dominant and the life you lead is inevitably impact by their opinion of you and how to maintain your relation with them. So if he had quietly said, not the life for me, I want more independence and I’m lucky that my position as a member of the royal family gives me lots of wonderful options… I think a lot of people could understand that… that however is definitely not what’s happened 🥴.

I do feel very sorry for William. He’s made no secret of the fact that after his childhood and teen years, privacy over his private life and friends who will never tell tales to the media is so important to him. Thankfully I don’t think it will impact his reputation but the betrayal must be traumatic. It’s great they’re clearly great friends with Zara and Mike as I think the Princess Ann model for her children will work well for Charlotte & Louis.
