Of all the idiotic and stupid things to say this has to be his worst yet. I have some close members of my family in the forces and none of them ever discusses whom they may have killed in conflict, no matter the circumstances.

This is a massive no no. I honestly believe he has crossed the line on so many levels now. Next time he cries about his security he needs to have a long hard think after this.

No of course not, but that isn’t the point is it? Talking like this is dangerous and puts himself and others at risk.

I have family in the forces and family who used to be. I am also friends with the wives of forces men and women .
None of them have ever said anything like this in public

Oh goodness.

Obviously we know he served in the army and what that can involve and I don't have a problem with him talking honestly BUT there is a huge lack of judgement and sensitivity in putting a number on it like that, and of course publicly stating it is going to increase his security risk.

I do think this book is showing he still has a lot to work through and I have every sympathy with that but he also very much needs to listen to advice on how and what to disclose publicly. It's obviously coming from trauma and trying to disentangle himself from his weird upbringing, and I wish him the very best with it but I fear he will be all the more messed up by the backlash, and with things like this he's just not helping himself or his family at all. I dread to think what kind of retaliation this could bring.

I do not believe him and I hope someone from the military who served alongside him, comes forward and exposes what he has said as being untrue or at the very least it is an exaggeration.

I’m more inclined to believe that he was part of a unit in name only that killed 25 rather than him individually rushing out Rambo style, shouting ‘Tally Ho! Take that, you rotters!’ whilst firing his L85!

I’m starting to think that Markle was/is on some sort of FBI CIA/whatever mission to seduce Harry and destroy the RF from the inside. Like she’s working for someone.

@Theunamedcat I mean wow....surprised at this. I knew he had done active service but somewhat naively didn't think he had killed anyone although i didn't really think about it. My dad served too in the royal engineers and didn't kill anyone. As for keeping score it is a low number (in general - obviously when talking about killing 1 is too high) and you would remember up to that point (it's quite a noteworthy thing to remember).

This is not a very sensible disclosure for him to have made. If he were my friend or loved one I'd have advised against it.

He talked about killing people in 2013.

And those big metal gadgets full of lethal bits of metal that they carry.... They do use them, they are paid to.

I know he used a ghost writer, but did Harry actually read the book before the publisher accepted it? Not the best idea to include it in the book.

I think this is the proof that never complain never explain works.
People have short memories, if you just ignore it eventually it will be forgotten.

Whereas if you broadcast it yourself, it will get a lot of traction.

Apparently he was played the footage on a laptop when he landed and it was possible to count the number killed.

He’s pretty much guaranteed that he’ll get taken out by a terrorist now. It’s almost beyond belief that someone with a lifetime surrounded by security could possibly E this stupid. He’s lost the plot.
