Meghan 'offended' for telling Kate she had 'baby brain'

Well, the Daily Fail have got their hands on a Spanish copy of the ''memoir'', so there is going to be shrapnel flying about from now until kingdom come.

One of these ''revelations'' is that Meghan made a joke about Kate having ''baby brain hormones'' a month after having Louis, which upset Kate, which in turn then upset Meghan.

Can you imagine the Oprah-style feeding frenzy had this been reversed - Kate telling Meghan that she had baby brain and hormones, which would have perfectly tapped into the villainous ice queen depiction that H&M are flogging right now?

Harry is soap operatising the royal family in the most sensational and tabloid dripfeed way possible (calling his brother his 'archnemesis'.

He is shockingly narcissistic, if he thinks this is not also going to also blow up on him and Meghan. The hypocrisy and whole thing is a shit show.

So telling someone they have baby’s brain is a offence but getting hit by an adult brother is ok ? That’s what I’m getting from MN today 🙄

But William isn’t positioning himself as the ‘wronged’. Kate has never publicly said anything bad about Meghan. Neither are pretending to be ‘pure’.

H&M are the aggressors by throwing accusations around. They are positioning themselves as the victims. If you are going to do that you have to have a clean sheet. So expect some flack and scrutiny when it comes out that you also have your skeletons.

meghans hypocrisy is highlighted here, by making a derogatory and sexist remark to a family member whilst at the same time pontificating about sexism and her own victimhood on a podcast.

No one is expected to be flawless, but hypocrisy is another matter.

be bad. Make mistakes. Just don’t be a fucking hypocrite.

Sorry just read the comment that Kate was intimidated by meghans intelligence

That's literally comedy gold. SmileSmileSmile

That's it in a nutshell. They are so blind to their own flaws, but so happy to capitalise on the perceived gaffes of others.

That's my feeling too. They seem genuinely believe what they say (mostly).

@BradfordGirl

It seems to have originated in Bowers book:

www.thenews.com.pk/amp/970142-meghan-markle-threw-kate-middletons-apology-flowers-in-bin-insiders

nypost.com/2022/07/22/meghan-markle-revealed-for-what-she-really-is-a-kardashian/amp/

“Bower also dishes on that infamous row with Kate Middleton — you know, the one Meghan told Oprah she wouldn’t discuss except to say that Kate made her cry right before the wedding — but Meghan, being such a bigger person, had accepted Kate’s flowers and apology and simply couldn’t bear to demonize her sister-in-law. The Palace, so expert at playing the long game, has finally leaked their version to Bower. And surprise, surprise: They say it was Bridezilla Meghan who, as rumor long had it, called Kate’s toddler Charlotte lacking in the flower girl department, who made a hormonal, postpartum Kate cry, and who — upon Kate later showing up at Meghan’s door, flowers in hand, not offering an apology so much as a warning to stop treating Palace staff so terribly — took Kate’s flowers, threw them in the garbage and slammed the door in the future queen’s face.”

It was also in Omid Scobies book, the one Meghan was found to have collaborated with by the High Court. He said that Meghan told her the flowers weren't enough and threw the flowers away

Err watch videos of them speaking in public Meghan comes over all Presidential, accomplished and assured as for Kate you will struggle to find any and when you do let's just say the earth wasn't shattered.

BradfordGirl · 06/01/2023 00:46

Kate's speeches - they are not that hard to find.

BradfordGirl · 06/01/2023 00:51

Meghan's speeches

Ohnonevermind · 06/01/2023 00:54

@vera99

she may sound nice, but it’s usually word salad, grandiose embellishments and lies if you focus on what she is actually saying.

Who wants to spend time having to fact check narc talk in 2023

BradfordGirl · 06/01/2023 01:06

@Ohnonevermind Both Kate and Meghan are giving speeches about charities they are visiting or working with.

Lest we forget Trump was actual President of the most powerful country in history, arguably the Duchess of Sussex is better if we were to compare the two. Not good I agree but this is the world we live in.We're just the most evolved animals after all. Monarchy has had its day in the old times you fought your way amongst your peers to gain and hold onto the Crown and there was a brutal inexorable logic to it all. That boat has long since sailed and post QE2 the ridiculousness of it all is becoming starkly apparent.

I have experienced terrible racism, I'm over it.

@Museya15 I refuse to accept when you say you're over it because even if you made it out the other side what about our kids? What about the black/mixed girls being stripped searched in their schools with no guardian present because someone decided they 'smelled like weed'? What about the anxiety when you apply for your next job wondering if despite your qualifications your face just won't fit? What about the fact that today racism doesn't mean someone shouting at you to 'go back to your country!!' - because it translates in being stalked around shops, talked to like your dumb despite speaking multiple languages, always being the one to adapt and just knowing if you make a white woman cry your days are numbered.

I give zero fucks about the RF - but a lot of this Meghan hate is actually down to racism. I'll be the first to admit that not everything is 'racist' but when you look at the language used, the descriptors, it is something many black women have heard since they could walk and talk. Meghan only has the misfortune of the baptism of fire - her being mixed race in California was / is very different from her being mixed race as the wife of a British Prince.

I've no idea where you're coming from. Sorry.

Meghan is a trained actress. If she wants to act presidential she can. Just like she famously once said she can pull out tears in two minutes and she did.

Meghan's 'I I I me me me' speech was earth shattering and accomplished, was it? Ok....

Mingmoo · 06/01/2023 07:19

Meghan should be good at speeches because she’s a trained actress and like many actors she loves being in the spotlight (not a bad thing; the world needs people like that). Kate seems to prefer one to one conversation where she’s very animated and sounds very schoolgirl with her speeches but she’s always prepared and earnest and has something to get across. Not sure why it’s important that Meghan wins at speeches but she should! And she had a lot to offer in that department. Having said that the royals generally understand the visuals are more important than the speeches - no one quotes Diana on land mines but the images of her in a minefield are iconic. Turning up is 99% of the job. Meghan didn’t understand that they don’t make policy, which is sad - she clearly felt frustrated that she wasn’t getting to do more but that’s not the gig.

GinoVino · 06/01/2023 07:23

I wonder if Kate's nanny leaked that? It is okay for a mum to joke about it to another mum she knows well but a geriatric second timer bride saying it to a mum of three who is the same age as her sounds catty and insecure af. It does not surprise me in the least. Meghan does see herself as being much, much younger than she is, rather than an older mum which is where the "five young mums" delusional comment came from.

Jesus Christ the misogyny dripping from this. I can’t imagine seething with contempt for other women all the time surely it’s exhausting.

There’s plenty to criticise without reverting to this. Disgusting.

Crabbyboot · 06/01/2023 07:25

Everyone says the wrong thing sometimes, I think it's how it's handled that matters. Writing about it in a book to discredit the other person isn't nice. I do feel sorry for Megan and Harry with their invasion of privacy but there is no need to slag off their family members in a book, it's just adding fuel to the fire.

PompeyGrilledSalad · 06/01/2023 08:03

If one of my SiLs made a ‘baby brain’ or ‘hormones’ comment to me I’d be decidedly unimpressed and think them the vacuous one.

It’s a lazy trope, and unhelpfully passive-aggressive.

Walkaround · 06/01/2023 08:14

All I’m learning from all this is that Harry and Megan are deeply damaged, screwed up individuals, and Harry comes across as being under his wife’s control, rather than a competent, stable, independent individual capable of surviving alone in the real world. I’m not learning much more about the rest of the Royal family, because they aren’t stupid enough to talk.

CheeseMuffin · 06/01/2023 08:30

So what did Meghan actually say? Even the Mail is reporting it like this, which doesn't actually sound that bad.

Meghan initially said she couldn’t remember but then added: “I remember: you had forgotten something and I said that it didn’t matter, that it was because of pregnancy. Because you just had a child. Because of the hormones’.

To me that sounds more like "oh don't worry about forgetting, you're pregnant so I understand" rather than "you silly bint, you've got baby brain".

Good on her for telling William to get his finger out of her face though. Bet he was taken aback!

Serenster · 06/01/2023 08:48

Writing about it in a book to discredit the other person isn't nice.

Well, so far Meghan and Harry have included it in Finding Freedom, majored on it in Oprah, mentioned it in one of the big magazine features Meghan has had to publicise her podcast and now Harry’s gone over it again in his book. They look a trifle obsessed with this incident, to be honest…
