Has Jeremy Clarkson just proved Harry and Meghan right?

On the radio it was discussing how Harry and Meghan said on Netflix that they got very upset in the past when newspapers would write horrible articles and the Royal Family institute would never have their backs and condone the articles in public.
so after the disgusting article that Jeremy wrote albeit his lame apology on Twitter, there has been no news as far as I am aware of the Royal Family saying violence written about Meghan etc is wrong.
so that being said haven’t they done what Meghan and Harry were moaning about that the Royal family never had their backs?

Meghan and Harry are mildly annoying but it's been clear for a long while that there is an active campaign against Meghan. As a mixed race woman I've been very unsettled by the difference in treatment when Meghan eats an avocado or touched her bump to Kate. I'm really not that interested in either of them these days but this article was beyond vile.

It's a rallying cry to all the racists and misogynists that 'it's okay lads, we can all say what we like now Jeremy has been published by a national newspaper'. It's not even the stripped naked and shit throwing that frightened me. It was bit bit about how much he hates a women he's never met ,more than a mass murderer....

Everyone knows Clarkson is outlandish. He’s out for himself. He knew exactly what he was doing. It’s Me Me Me and look at Me again. Like Piers Morgan and Boris Johnson. However we do have the notion of free speech here. Whether we like what’s said, or not.

They aren't working royals, they aren't part of the firm, despite still being allowed to keep titles, so they can't expect to benefit from the Royal Family machine.

Though that's been their whole problem all along. They've expected to get all the perks, without the work.

The perks? The downsides FAR outweighed the perks, that is simply undeniable

@MamaFirst the fact that there is always 2 sides to a story for one
You automatically believe one side totally not having heard the other , and some things like titles not being given to their kids
Protocol dictated that no matter who Harry had kids with, and also been well known foe years that KC wants to slim down family , so always a possibility he may not of given titles when he could to anyone really.
So that is an easily disproved fact
I have no doubt some of what they say is true but I also have no doubt their is two sides to a story and conveniently cameras being on when texts received etc , again with only one side of the conversation ( well a snippet)
So i think fault on both sides tbh most likely

That's not true either.

The Sun published/leaked the Queen's speech 2 days before Xmas day.
They apologised.
She still sued them.

The Mirror (when Piers Morgan was editor) put an Undercover reporter in Buckingham Palace.
When the Palace found out they tried to stop the story about it.
Mirror apologised, said they wouldn't publish the photos, but would publish the story about the Undercover reporter laying the Queen's breakfast table.
Queen sued The Mirror.

The racism the England footballers faced in the eEuros last year was widely condemned by the public.
Prince and Princess of Wales joined in and condemned the racism in football, on thier twitter account.
The said it sickened them and all who are involved should be held accountable.

@antelopevalley reportedly attended it says , also no guarantee she decides who is invited , the queen has had to host people before she prob didn't want to, they have prob has to all meet with people who haven't said nice things about them at times.

It looks like they may have gone too far this time and perhaps the tide will turn, but honestly there are so many posters on here who are no better that Jeremy Clarkson.

That's not true.

I wish people would stop claiming the RF "never explain, never complain", because its complete bollocks.

They have released official statements condemning the press.
The Senior RF have all sued tabloid newspapers at one time or another.
The Queen sued both The Sun and The Mirror. Twice!

Off the top of my head:
▪︎ Sophie (when she wasn't a working royal) got caught in a fake Sheikh scandal.
Buck Palace released an official statement saying the story was riddled with inaccuracies and fictions. And was offensive.

▪︎ When Kate was Williams girlfriend. Kensington Palace released an official statement condemning the press harassment and it needs to stop. The intrusion was unbearable.

▪︎ A few years ago Kensington Palace, on behalf of W &K, issued a statement to the press condeming the dangerous tactics paparazzi have been using to take pictures of thier children. They want thir children to be free of harrasment and surveillance
(btw, the statement lists some examples of disturbing tactics the paps have used just to get a photo of the children)

I don't have any problem with the palaces making official statements to respond to the vitriol the RF have endured from the press.
And I don't have a problem with suing the tabloid press
In fact I applaud them for it.

But let's not pretend they keep silent. They don't.
