Lovely picture of them both too. Seems so rare to see a positive news story these days so this was good to see! Peace, reconciliation and understanding. 😊

It looks like a really cosy setting and makes them both a lot more relatable.

Hope this sorts some of the uproar around this.

CatherineMorland · 16/12/2022 21:25

Very graciously handled by both parties. I hope this gives the charity a boost.

slideintomxas · 16/12/2022 21:30

I thought someone had raked up loads of dodgy stuff about the charity?
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/12/13/palace-race-row-accuser-ngozi-fulanis-charity-draws-watchdogs/
and they are now under investigation…

Glassofwhatever · 16/12/2022 21:32

Lovely to see this today

tickticksnooze · 16/12/2022 21:34

How is this a positive news story? It's a publicity exercise by BP.

MancMama28 · 16/12/2022 21:34

Yep great publicity!

The Telegraph. So, a right wing paper.

Tbh I’m not surprised someone went after the charity following the uproar. Seeking to discredit Ngozi Fulani or her charity after the uproar might have been strategic. It’s a game of chess ♟

And it states “allegation” which means that there’s an investigation. Innocent until proven guilty. Will be interesting to know the outcome.

OP posts:
slideintomxas · 16/12/2022 21:42

It will be interesting. There is a lot of information gleaned from publicly available documents that is concerning. Let’s see what the regulators conclude.

And I hope the palace also remember that the Crown symbolises Justice. This means no underhand tactics. Even a game of chess ♟ must be played fair and square.

The royal family are merely claimants to the Crown. That claim depends on many things including the coronation oath with the key words: law, mercy and justice.

Well whatever it is, NF was happy to go along with it.

I dont see what can be gained by repeatedly stoking the situation.

She was offered an apology she has accepted it, and is happy to pose for a picture to show that she has accepted the apology.🤗

So what? Unless Lady S somehow knew that and decided interrogating NF about her heritage was the appropriate response how is that relevant?

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 16/12/2022 21:55

Pretty impressed to see such a positive, mature and graceful response from both women!

The Telegraph didn't investigate the charity FGS. They are just reporting on the Twitter account.

Did I say that the Telegraph investigated the charity? I noted the source was a right wing newspaper because recent conversations have been about being aware that the press is corrupt, can choose their angle and that means people must be vigilant.

If an allegation has been made then conducting an investigation is the normal procedure. Telegraph readers ought to be mindful that the charity is innocent until proven guilty. So they must wait and not leap to conclusions.

You should try reading the twitter thread about the charity. That might change your view, but I doubt it because you've clearly taken your position on this given your comment on the Telegraph.

I haven’t read the Twitter thread, yet, no.

I only looked at the Telegraph link and that’s what I responded to.

It is only fair that I do check the Twitter thread next. So I will now look at the Twitter thread.

Looks like the focus on finance and compliance allegations are the most concerning. The complaint has been lodged with the charity commission so let’s wait to see the report.

And FYI Twitter is not akin to the judiciary. Hopefully the charity commission conduct a professional, thorough and impartial investigation to get to the bottom of this.

If I go around saying that men are violent it doesn't make it okay for a man to attack me. NF saying that the royal family may be racist doesn't make it okay to make racist remarks to her.

It doesn't matter whether she wanted to prove the royal family were racist or not. All the royal family and their representatives had to do was not be racist.

And Lady S admitted what had happened. You don't get a trial if you plead guilty.

TwasNiceKnowingYa · 16/12/2022 22:51

She's a woman who spoke up because someone made her feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in a way she believed to be racist. Why is she being victim-blamed and told how to react?

If a woman took a similar against a man, would you call her a 'sex-baiter'?
