Will Harry and William ever repair their falling out

Sadly, it just seems to be getting worse. I don’t really care or take any notice of relationships in the celebrity or world or the relationships of public figures, but I do find it quite sad that there are two brothers who were probably very close at one point and brought closer together by the premature death of their mother at a young age and are now so distant from each other, and I don’t just mean geographically.

I can’t see Harry and William ever making amends, what with all this Netflix stuff, the Oprah stuff and his new book.

It just seems a bit sad!

The impression I am getting from the Netflix programme is that Harry is extremely jealous and wishes he wasn't the spare. Also that he isn't very bright or educated (the waste!!!) and therefore doesn't quite get how the firm and the press operate. He comes across as a bitter middle aged man (male, pale, and stale) and I wouldn't be too surprised if Meghan was really rather annoyed with her husband for not guiding them in a more sensible and opportunistic way. She's lost the opportunity to be in a very influential role, they could have cracked it, had she been a different character (more like Michelle Obama).

There is no way the brothers can reconcile as the weird selection of people who appear in the NF series are explicitly attacking the heart of the monarchy and the Commonwealth and Harry and Meghan are attacking William, Charles and Kate. They have produced a hate stirring programme and it's clear for the world to see who the bullies are as evidenced in the programme, Meghan and Harry. Meghan is like a fishwife, bickering about her in laws and Harry's jealousy and bitterness is written all over his face. It's very sad for Archie and Lily.

DarkKarmaIlama · 15/12/2022 17:14

I don’t think it’s going to end well for Harry. I do really like him though and he is head over heels in love with Megan. I think she’s more the loose cannon and they will probably divorce at some point. It will be one helluva custody battle across the pond.

byvirtue · 15/12/2022 17:21

Nope they should be frozen out by the RF. H&M have made their bed it’s time to lie (quietly please god) in it.

if they are invited to the coronation I’d be astounded. William has his own family, Kates family and discrete friends he really doesn’t need Harry anymore.

CHRIST0PHERR0BIN · 15/12/2022 17:22

@JRHartley72 I think they believe they can visit the UK, attend family events then go back to America and tell their truth about what happened. This could buy them years of interviews. I'm only hoping they're now excluded from royal events (such as the upcoming coronation) and don't have stories to tell.

However (to my knowledge) they have not yet told their version of the Queens funeral and the Balmoral journey drama. I believe, if not invited, this will be sold in late April, intended to eclipse the coronation.

I feel like I’m watching a different documentary to everyone else, because I can’t fault what Harry has done. I think the brothers could absolutely reconcile if Will admitted his wrong behaviour on behalf of the institution, and abdicated.

I think an end to the royals is as likely as a Harry-Meghan split, but the former would be a good thing. Talking about an H-M divorce as inevitable is a bit distasteful; talking about an end to the royal nonsense – hallelujah!

Over half of marriages end in divorce. Speculating that it will end in divorce isn’t distasteful, it’s just the most likely outcome.

IntentionalError · 15/12/2022 17:29

No chance while Harry remains married to Meghan. The brothers were very close before she came on the science, and it is her who has torn them apart.

My understanding is that he's added a chapter to the book about it, but you're right, they could well be filming still with the intention of doing a follow up.

King Charles would be mad to invite them to the Coronation after this.

I haven't watched the latest three eps – did it include that awful staged photo call MM did for the young victims of the school shooting in Texas?

TenoringBehind · 15/12/2022 17:31

I think they will after Harry and Meaghan divorce (and I’d put money on it within 5 years max).

I agree. I'm not impressed with Charles. He fought for the woman he loved and expects all to accept her but has not come out and spoke n about the abuse that Meghan received.

Ha ha, nice one!

ThighMistress · 15/12/2022 17:34

I think a lot of tomatoes will be stockpiled if they plan to turn up at the Coronation…

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 17:36

Oh I hope they're invited to the coronation. I wonder if they'd come? To not invite them would make them indignant at not being asked whereas inviting them gives them a real dilemma. Will they risk being booed?

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 15/12/2022 17:53

I think the having the excuse of it being Archie's birthday is a brainwave. Saves face on all sides.

Besides, I'm sure they won't want to participate in the affirmation of an empire funded by slavery

why, was there drama around the Queen’s funeral with H&M? I never heard anything.

@asblindasabat Harry was on a later plane and hadn't arrived in Balmoral when the Queen's death was announced.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 18:18

I don't think there was any drama but that doesn't mean they won't get the urge to share their 'feelz'. Probably in H's book.

Are you on glue ? Or is this an attempt at irony?

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 18:32

Perhaps if he ever divorced K

Is that after he abdicates?

I didn’t think too much of that, I just maybe thought that he just genuinely hadn’t got there on time, just as that might happen to any normal Person when an elderly relative passes away.

Do people think that maybe the RF tried to keep him away from Balmoral until the Queen had passed?

Yes I agree. Harry has stood up for himself nicely. Will has been a bit of a shit.
