Will Harry and William ever repair their falling out

Sadly, it just seems to be getting worse. I don’t really care or take any notice of relationships in the celebrity or world or the relationships of public figures, but I do find it quite sad that there are two brothers who were probably very close at one point and brought closer together by the premature death of their mother at a young age and are now so distant from each other, and I don’t just mean geographically.

I can’t see Harry and William ever making amends, what with all this Netflix stuff, the Oprah stuff and his new book.

It just seems a bit sad!

I don’t think so. Such a shame as Harry appeared to be so close with K & W. Didn’t he say that Kate was the sister he never had?

Mumsnut · 01/01/2023 20:15

I suspect that Charles will not be around long, come to that.

They are family and a dysfunctional family at that. They will learn, grow and change like everyone else.🤷‍♀️

Hopefully, they'll work it out.🩵🩵

Yes but the RF were the family Meghan never had too. It’s all bollocks

It’s very sad , I’m sure neither of them are perfect but airing all of this on TV and in print will not help Harry feel better, it will not bring him peace. Causing pain to someone else rarely heals one’s own pain.

They will never make up if they both keep throwing each other under the bus

BethJ62 · 01/01/2023 21:33

They will never make up as long as Harry is married to Meghan .

Depends if Harry needs the dosh when Wills is holding the purse strings.

The Times is reporting today that Harry's new book outlines his various grievances against William in detail, so I suspect his bridges will be well and truly burned. I doubt William will want anything more to do with him, and once Charles is gone, Harry will be condemned to a Duke of Windsor-style Siberia.

Poor Harry is pathetic and eaten up with envy.

Acheyknees · 01/01/2023 22:46

William was always the more professional, thoughtful and serious of the two brothers for obvious reasons. I think Harry enjoyed his 'cheeky chappy' persona when he was single. It suited him and he had a lot of fun. When MM came along he changed, he wasn't going to be the cheeky one anymore. They wanted to do things their way. Trouble is H hasn't forged a proper role out for himself, which was painfully obvious when he complained that KC cut him off financially at 36!

I have noticed this pattern:
When HMQ was in power, say horrible things about the others but compliment her.
Now KC is in power, say horrible things about the others, reduce criticism of him.

I think the next step is to regularly attack William and Kate (and even the kids sometimes) in such detail with the hope of being widely believed and bringing an end to the monarchy so that he never makes it to king.

The main grievance is obviously that poor Harry cannot stand the fact that William is getting closer and closer to becoming king.

Well he has sworn allegiance to King and country, a bit like all of us. Their lawyers will have made them aware that there may be more serious consequences if he attacked the Now King, so yes the grievances will be directly elsewhere. Guess who would make the major decisions though - not William for sure.

He is looking older to be sure but if he lives as long as his parents. We have at least another 20 years.

Legallypinkish · 02/01/2023 23:26

No I don’t think so. I fell out with my sister over 15 years ago. I don’t ever intend to speak to her again. It is sad but sometimes you have to cut people, even family out of your life. If I were William I’d never want to see him again.

Another article behind a paywall so we can only read the first bit - that is not a balanced assessment. And an unnamed ‘source’ is the source.

I think it’s valid to look at all aspects to this story between Harry and his royal family, but there is no way of forming an educated opinion when articles are only partially available and unbalanced. So many articles like these are presented on here as proof of a poster’s opinion, but just waste my time when I click on them thinking I’m going to see a well considered article in full.
