Last thread has filled up so I thought I'd create another to chat trailers and teasers while we hang about waiting for better more truth bombs to drop in the main event.

Imagine being expected to turn up at Buckingham palace, alone , you’ve never met your son in law, or the RF. You’re a retired bankrupt, living in a mobile home in Mexico to keep costs down and wonder how do I pay for this.

it’s hard not to feel some empathy for someone in this situation, but he handled it really badly. Selling out your family for money is terrible.

I am curious. Do you honestly think they would not have paid for him? They offered to send over security people he had met before, why would you think they wouldn't?
They'd hardly expect him to book into a Travelodge!

They were doing all that for him. I don't think they're complete ogres/idiots!

I think the problem is he didn't have a chance to come over and get comfortable with it all, but honestly I wouldn't be able to go to something like that and certainly not in a prominent role. So it may have always been a non-starter.

we have no evidence that they made any offer, why else would he have needed the pap shot money ?

I do recall that Harry has been called rather tight fisted so who knows if he offered anything. Meghan had paid him some small amounts. If they had come, this embarrassing conversation could have been handled better 🤷‍♀️

If they had sent money - I’m sure they would have mentioned it in the texts mentioned in the court papers ?

i don’t remember reading them offering money ? But they are incomplete, Harry’s messages are missing.

What's wrong with the text? He wasn't taking her calls, what is she meant to say by that point? There were other messages too.

You think the text is cold that I posted? The whole thing? There are many more in the court documents. I don't think they are cold, they are showing concern.

I meant ideally to invite him to London for a few weeks before the wedding. I don't know when the "photos" happened so that might not have worked but it just seemed like her mum was included and he was expected to turn up, do his duty and walk her down the aisle.

Harry never made the effort to meet his father in law. One of the texts he sent was so offensive it was never read out in court. Appalling

The truth was that Thomas didn't fit in with the image. He also would likely have blurted out stuff that would have shattered Meghan's carefully constructed story about her upbringing.

I don't know what they were doing. It can be really easy for people who have money to forget others aren't as well off or they can think it is obvious that they will pay but the person who is short of money doesn't know that and doesn't want to ask.

I don't suppose we will ever know, and not our business really, but I can imagine him being worried about it all.

They didn't leave from the cottage for the wedding did they? Meghan stayed at Cliveden House, what's to say he wouldn't be there, it's large enough!

That was just a few days before the wedding wasn't it? After the photos so maybe a bit late.

The point I was making was did he know what the arrangements were when he did the deal about the photos. If he didn't know he was going to be housed and maybe provided with suitable clothes he might have been trying to work out how he could do it. So I don't feel like condemning him.

I still can't get past the fact that Meghan didn't introduce Harry to her dad far earlier in the relationship .
She was able to fly to Botswana to holiday with H after only 2 dates.Money not a problem.A lot of heartache could have been saved surely by involving him sooner Especially given how she'd previously sung his praises.

Harry should have made an effort to get to know Meghan's family and meet them before they got engaged. Expecting the Markles to play catch up after the event in front of the world's cameras was cruel.
