Any predictions? Any recommendations?
(And any thoughts when we get the response?).

Why does he still harp back to Diana? Most people under 37 either don't, or barely remember her- she died 26 years ago and, like most celebs, played her own part in her downfall with the paparazzi. She is another who retired from public life on more than one occasion and couldn't bear to be out if the limelight. She's long dead and buried.

I think she was his mum.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 05/12/2022 14:30

and then what when that dries up?

I'm afraid they are reminding me more and more of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. And, I've said this so often - but how did it go so wrong?? They had so much - a large and loving family, access to wealth and a lifestyle that most can only dream of and the choice to be as public or private a family as they chose.

The issue of race is raised, with a commentator saying of the couple's experience: "It's about hatred. It's about race."

At risk of going off on a tangent, has he ever addressed his own, er, questionable behaviour in the past?

I think both of them could have done so much more and so much better than Netflix stuff.

MaulPerton · 05/12/2022 14:35

I also think that the plan was hatched from the beginning; they had no intention of living in the UK, no wish to continue/start doing Royal type things and just wanted a quick meal ticket

...suggesting that the wedding was a cynical ploy all along. What a way to start married life. Astounding. Simply astounding.

username8888 · 05/12/2022 14:36

What is the latest Harkle revelation?

Idontgiveashitanymore · 05/12/2022 14:38

I’m so sick of hearing about these two.
why are people giving them the air time ?
enough is enough now !

OzHopes · 05/12/2022 14:38

FirstFallopians · 05/12/2022 13:36

I don’t care for any of them on a personal level, but I fucking love drama so I’ll be glued to it 😂

Love your honesty 🤣🤣

Even on the trailer Diana is featured. He really exploits her tragic death doesn't he.

Uses Netflix to merche his mothers death while sitting doing his three monkeys act while the monetise Diana on the Crown. Such hypocrisy

WeWereInParis · 05/12/2022 14:44

I think she was his mum.

😂

Kindly leave Duke Ellington out of this; he had exceptional talent.

Absolutely maybe call himself Harry formerly known as Prince or invent some new age symbol representing rebirth and empathic connection with the universe. If David Icke can make a fortune peddling errant nonsense to fawning crowds I could see some reboot having traction. Not that the world needs any more charlatans tbf.

ShamedBySiri · 05/12/2022 14:48

Of all of Harry's actions I think the way he is monetising Diana is the absolute worst.
I'm pretty sure I remember him & William making/contributing to a program about her (?) for the 20th anniversary of her death and saying this would be the one and only time they'd be discussing her.
Why doesn't he want to honour his mother's memory by keeping her close and private?
Why doesn't he consider that William also lost his mother and this must be SO hurtful to W.

It's just shameless. Very distasteful and hypocritical.

I certainly won't be watching - SIX episodes! Hardly anyone I could think of would hold my interest for six episodes.

Yes it is all so distasteful. How on earth can he keep harping on about 'history repeating itself' when he's the one guilty of it! running to the media selling gossip to the highest bidder and causing massive hurt and disappointment.

I worry about him. He's going way too far, someone may well just leak some damaging stuff about this grabby pair of delusionary idiots.

I wonder if having his own children brings a lot of memories back?

Certainly did for me - I revisited my childhood in an entirely unexpected way. For better and for worse I must say!

FrownedUpon · 05/12/2022 15:10

Agree that silence is the best option & will probably annoy H&M intensely.

H&M are making complete fools of themselves now. Most people can see right through them.

I think she was his mum.

But according to all those who hate Harry and Meghan he is never supposed to mention his mum in public ever again.

If the 'royals ' respond it will go badly for them

If the 'royals ' don't respond it will go badly for them .

The UK monarchy is a rotten lie of an institution. It has survived limping into this century mainly because Elizabeth's great age allowed her to span two epochs .

Their corruption is being repeatedly highlighted today ( I think they were probably just as bad 50/ 60 years ago but pathetic deference protected them ) and shining a light on them is all it takes .

I thought Charles was bad but William is even worse . Ignoring all the speculation about him , he just appears completely inauthentic .
He may be being sincere but what matters is that he comes across as insincere .
People sense it

I don’t sense William as being insincere. He seems like a man who knows he has a job to do and he does it. He has his family with Catherine and his job (as vice CEO) of ‘The Firm’.

IcedPurple · 05/12/2022 15:11

Unless there are very specific, damaging claims, the best response is no response. If today's trailer is anything to go by, it's going to be more of the same whining about how Meghan was the worst treated royal woman in history. If that's the case, the royals can safely ignore it.

With the 'memoirs' next month, this surely is the last chance the Harkles can rehash their 'grievances'. By the coronation, it will be largely forgotten. As the Harkles will be unless they come up with some career plan which doesn't involve regurgitation of increasingly stale royal 'insights'.

I agree that having your own children brings back loads of memories and can make you far more critical of your parents.

RosettaStormer · 05/12/2022 15:13

Remove their titles and stop trying with Harry. He's a lost cause.

LookingFunny · 05/12/2022 15:14

antelopevalley · 05/12/2022 15:10

But according to all those who hate Harry and Meghan he is never supposed to mention his mum in public ever again.

Using his mother to push his tales of woe in his multi million dollar reality show is beyond distasteful. He can obviously talk about her but he uses her to push his persecution narrative and it's so inappropriate. He's a sell out.

Poor William to see his DM dragged to this tacky show.

antelopevalley · 05/12/2022 15:36

But you have not even seen the show so how do you know how he talks about his mum in it?

LookingFunny · 05/12/2022 15:42

RosettaStormer · 05/12/2022 15:13

It's a bit repetitive isn't it. 'History repeating itself' yeah we've had that with Oprah, 'no one knows the truth, we do' ditto.

I wonder if he'll say he's triggered by cameras again despite seemingly having their own crew present at all their 'private' moments. He is so contrary. I mean who was filming all these tears and sad faces and why?! It's almost as if the whole thing was a preconceived idea in 2018 🤔.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 05/12/2022 15:44

This is a good point. The royals are certainly good at playing the long game.

Diana is alluded to in trailer 2 and there are images of her used.

It's rather ironic that they talk about how badly MM was treated but then say that all women marrying into the RF are (as they are) and then use - albeit briefly - a still of Kate with Sophie and Camilla to the left and right of her overlayed with "Princess in Crisis". If the women are treated so badly, why the fuck are they then adding to it?!

The new trailer also features Piers Morgan's voice. I wonder if he's going to get an unflattering cameo in this too. That'll wind him up no end. And he's certainly not got any protocol to adhere to.

I totally agree that the best way is to say "Recollections may vary" + "they are part of the family and we love them" and nothing else (unless there's a legal issue. Any actual engagement will just feed the couple's need to have the last word.
