Any predictions? Any recommendations?
(And any thoughts when we get the response?).

I thought Charles was bad but William is even worse . Ignoring all the speculation about him

What speculation would that be?

No don't bother replying, I think I can guess and it's nasty, mean spirited gossip with no foundation at all.

Justsaying22 · 05/12/2022 13:27

I’ve always thought William comes across as being sincere (Christ knows tho if he actually is) and Harry comes across as paranoid and very suspicious of everyone.. but who knows if Harry is right to possibly feel this way.. how the hell do we know. Perhaps both sides are to blame partly 🤷‍♀️. I really wish Harry would leave all this alone though and go and live his best life somewhere..

whynotwhatknot · 05/12/2022 13:31

i hope charles takes away the titles once and for all then say nothing

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 05/12/2022 13:33

Oh how original, another sad thread being started up to give more air/ publicity etc to Harry, and Meghan. Why are you not just ignoring it all yourself then OP? That would make much more sense. Then again I do wonder about the sort of person who starts these types of threads.

Because I find it all very interesting Confused

I disagree with "stripping them of their titles". Just a press release that "in line with their wishes, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be using their royal titles".

Oh, and "Harry and Meghan and their children are much-cherished members of the family and we look forward to seeing them soon".

I don’t care for any of them on a personal level, but I fucking love drama so I’ll be glued to it 😂

NotABeliever · 05/12/2022 13:38

Depends on the scales on the accusations.
Watching the second trailer of the documentary makes me think H&M are definitely on a war path with the Royal Family and it'd be impossible not to respond to their accusations.

LookingFunny · 05/12/2022 13:40

I agree, taking away titles adds to and enables their persecution narrative.

Just a brief 'the Sussexes remain much loved members of the family' then to ignore them will infuriate them more.

Everyone knows it's bollocks, they were quite happy with their proposal of being special royal people in the US. They must think we're as stupid as Harry if they think we can't see this is revenge, pure and simple.

I thought going away to the states and living his best life was the whole idea!!
Didn't want to be on public show, didn't want flashes going off in his face, didn't want to hear the clicks of those cameras......err, rightio!!

loislovesstewie · 05/12/2022 13:40

The only issue I have is that if person A makes an allegation about person B, then I feel that person B should be able to respond. I don't think that the Royal family can actually say more than 'recollections may vary'. Having been on the receiving end, professionally, of something that was a complete lie, I found it hurt more than people might have thought. I did get a public apology but some still thought 'mud sticks'. Whatever the royals do it will be the wrong thing. And I'm not a royalist, I just think H&M are a pair of grifters. They can't earn the money they want without the constant drip feed of sensational stories, and then what when that dries up?

Prince Harry speaks of the "leaking and... planting of stories" as part of a "dirty game" in a new trailer for his upcoming Netflix series.
He describes the "pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution" in an apparent reference to his wife, Meghan, and mother, Princess Diana.
The issue of race is also raised, with a commentator saying of the couple's experience: "It's about hatred. It's about race."
The series is released on Thursday.
A further three episodes will follow on 15 December.

They’re clearly hellbent on causing as much upset as possible. It’s starting to smack of bullying and vindictive behaviour ☹️

I agree, especially if they attack "Darling Camilla".

LookingFunny · 05/12/2022 13:42

Even on the trailer Diana is featured. He really exploits her tragic death doesn't he.

stuntbubbles · 05/12/2022 13:45

Dignified silence from the royal family 😂 As ever, they’ll continue the anonymous briefings against Harry and Meghan to the press – they’ve briefed against him his whole life, why stop now? And expect plenty of Kate being wheeled out more than ever: I predict a move back from Windsor to London and a Vogue cover, at a bare minimum.

Exactly! None of this really matters and in this global binfire of bad news, the Sussexes are truly delivering the gossip we need. Haven’t been this glued to anything since the Wagatha Christie trial and that was so short-lived. This is a long-running soap opera and I am HERE for it.

milti · 05/12/2022 13:47

So far absolutely nothing new - £80 million for that!

Yep.. I just wish he had gone and moved on.. not done Oprah or Netflix.. it looks like cashing in on misery within your family. That does not feel right. Will the royal family respond if claims are made against them.. they hardly ever do but depending on what claims are made I feel they should and will Harry give any evidence to back up any claims.. cos you can’t just make accusations without giving evidence.

Itssooooocold · 05/12/2022 14:08

Just 'recollections may vary' ad infinitum

vera99 · 05/12/2022 14:13

safetyfreak · 05/12/2022 13:03

They should respond, its getting ridiculous now.

They should also take away Harry titles.

Stock response is Andrew's first....😉and are just letters arranged in a sequence referring to a place they have no real connection to. Anyways if they do they should just make up titles like Duke Ellington or Prince....

InPraiseOfBacchus · 05/12/2022 14:15

I agree that Harry seems hypocritical by seeking media deals after claiming to want to be left alone. But you've got to remember that being in the public eye is literally all he's ever known since birth. I can begin to understand why it's his go-to. This isn't someone who's been given a normal framework for understanding and interacting with the world.

loislovesstewie · 05/12/2022 14:23

I also think that the plan was hatched from the beginning; they had no intention of living in the UK, no wish to continue/start doing Royal type things and just wanted a quick meal ticket. I think that they took extensive notes of every conversation that might seem controversial and every perceived or real 'slight'. Harry might have wanted to live in Africa ,but he went to the States to make that money as no-one would give a toss about them if they lived in any African country.

loislovesstewie · 05/12/2022 14:24

Kindly leave Duke Ellington out of this; he had exceptional talent.

newtb · 05/12/2022 14:24

I think it's quite funny that thé paparazzi shot in the trailer is from a Harry Potter premier that took place 5 or 6 years before they met. Not even 'recollections may vary' can get around that one.

LuluBlakey1 · 05/12/2022 14:26

Why does he still harp back to Diana? Most people under 37 either don't, or barely remember her- she died 26 years ago and, like most celebs, played her own part in her downfall with the paparazzi. She is another who retired from public life on more than one occasion and couldn't bear to be out if the limelight. She's long dead and buried.

But he could done something far more constructive/interesting/worthy in the public eye - I think that's what many people were expecting. There's such a vast middle ground between being in the RF (that you hate and were desperate to leave) and whining about the RF (that you hate and are desperate to remain part of to fund your Netflix habit).
