Camilla lifts girls arm up by sleeve cuff

antelopevalley · 26/11/2022 18:13

I just saw this on Twitter and it is the most bizarre public engagement act I have ever seen from the Royal Family. Camilla lifts up a little girl's arm using the cuff of her sleeve.

I am very surprised at this. I thought Camilla saw a lot of her grandchildren so would be more comfortable with young children than this strange exchange shows. Camilla almost treats the little girl like an object rather than a living child.

Sadly the truth hurts sometimes eh.

Funny how it gets deleted.

I see it for what it is.

Well this is the strangest and most baffling thread I’ve seen for a while. I keep missing the posts before they’re deleted though so I don’t quite follow the whole gist.

ArcaneWireless · 26/11/2022 23:05

Camilla 1. Inflammatory opinion - 0

I do feel that those who feel the need to see wrong doings in those who are simply going about their business - whether on Twitter or elsewhere - should get another hobby or indeed a life.

milti · 26/11/2022 23:25

What a load of rubbish - desperate much !

I do not understand why Camilla had to lift her arm at all.
It is the kind of awkward thing someone would do who is not used to young children. But she is supposed to love having her grandchildren around. So I assumed when I watched the video she would be comfortable with young kids and would not interact in this bizarre manner.

You’re questioning why a woman isn’t as comfortable with complete strangers (who have never, ever met her before and who clearly don’t understand why she is there) as she is with her OWN GRANDCHILDREN?

Are you ok?

LittlePearl · 26/11/2022 23:46

Why on earth has my post been deleted? I genuinely don't understand this thread. Bizarre......or am I not allowed to say that?

Samcro · 26/11/2022 23:58

antelopevalley · 26/11/2022 18:24

@samcro People on twitter are pointing out it is bizarre.
Kind and gentle?
Would you be happy if a stranger to your young DD suddenly gently lifted her arm using the cuff of her sleeve? I have no idea why she did this. It appears an attempt to get the girls attention.

It is at 1.04/1.05

I don’t do twitter, but I have seen how many odd threads you start on mn
you Seem to be obsessed with the Royal family
Camilla was patron of my child’s sn school, my child has met her, she is a lovely lady

JaneJeffer · 27/11/2022 00:01

Aww that's so cute. Cheeeessseee Grin

ArcaneWireless · 27/11/2022 00:08

It is an enigma pearl

I confess I always find it puzzling when some subject a stranger to scrutiny and yet find it unacceptable for others to scrutinise their actions in return.

I find it often to be an indication that an opinion was voiced with rather questionable intentions.

Yes I agree, a whole thread about nothing. Yawn.

Thursa · 27/11/2022 02:45

It looked to me that she was looking at a bracelet the little girl was wearing, not pulling at her clothing.

IceReckon · 27/11/2022 03:22

She seems awkward with them because it's an awkward situation. The kids are clearly not very comfortable, not engaging, the staff seem to barely be engaging, she's being filmed and struggling to get any interaction.

LadyMarmaladeAtkins · 27/11/2022 04:38

Would you be happy if a stranger to your young DD suddenly gently lifted her arm using the cuff of her sleeve?

Would I be fussed if a visiting dignitary did this to my child, in full view and supervision of everyone and on camera, presumably for some reason or another? No. As if I'd've even had time to puzzle over this when my children were younger?

Randomer in the street for no discernable reason at all, then I'd be bothered as they might be trying to grab or coerce her away.

Winterscomingagain · 27/11/2022 05:12

That's why the Queen asked people had they come far or simply didn't speak to them at all.
It's very unfair and creates these stilted awkward moments.

Spookypig · 27/11/2022 05:30

This is such a boring drama about nothing. I don’t even like the royal family and even I think this is ridiculous. She was looking at her bracelet, it’s hardly child abuse. So weird.

Imani, personal attacks?

It’s long been obvious the OP thinks nothing of attacking members of the RF any which way she can. That there’s absolutely no limit as to how low she’ll stoop to discredit them, even if she has to resort to the Google version of dumpster diving in order to find obscure articles about them from decades ago.

It seems like she’s one of those people who think it’s ok to dish out the most hateful of nonsense in her RF posts yet reports anything she/he sees as a personal attack in reply to her. The difference in what she feels is acceptable to say about members of the RF and what she deems acceptable in reply to herself is astounding and extremely hypocritical.

Trolling? I haven’t seen any of that myself and I guess it’s one of those things that can warrant a post being removed when it’s convenient.

onlythreenow · 27/11/2022 06:38

Well said @MrsThimbles. The OP is just making herself look ridiculous each time she has a post removed. I will be remembering her username and will no longer engage. MN are also making themselves look a joke by indulging her.

IDontWantToBeAPie · 27/11/2022 07:07

It's called being a human. The child wasn't reacting at all so she tried to make her respond. She's just a person.

toomuchlaundry · 27/11/2022 08:46

I agree @MrsThimbles

Same. I said nothing hadn't already been said several times.

ArcaneWireless · 27/11/2022 09:15

Indeed MrsThimbles

WinnieTheW0rm · 27/11/2022 09:27

Mountain - molehill.

This is a couple of seconds of a much longer film of her visit.

That interaction is fine, as are all the many others.

So I don't agree with OP that she's unfit to be around DC or that her advisers are somehow faulty.

thereisonlyoneofme · 27/11/2022 10:26

Twitter are apparently calling her racist now that she didnt want to touch the child ! Anything to complain about the RF.
antelopevalley you seem to trawl the media looking for reasons to disparage the RF>
