I've been wondering about this all week.

What do people think? Would William want that ? Would Kate?

Of course not. They are happy with their lives in America. Leave them be.

HotDogKetchup · 17/09/2022 18:49

It’s not his decision.

Hmmm are they though?

Harry's been a fish out of water IMO. Seeing him at the vigil just now, he looked exactly where he's meant to be.

(Just my thoughts)

No Charles is a conceited twat and hates being overshadowed

ShirleyJackson · 17/09/2022 18:53

He only looks truly himself in uniform. I think in a different life he’d have been a lifelong soldier, and loved it.

BlueKaftan · 17/09/2022 18:54

How horribly conceited to think your snapshot view of the man grieving his grandmother gives you any idea of “exactly where he’s meant to be.”

LIZS · 17/09/2022 18:55

His speech was quite clear that they have a new life abroad.

Anothernamechangeplease · 17/09/2022 18:58

I'm not a royalist, so the whole thing is just a bit of a soap opera as far as I'm concerned. However, I would very much like to see Harry and Meghan reconciled somehow with the rest of the family. On a purely human level, aside from all the trappings of monarchy, I just think it's terribly sad that two brothers, who were once so close, should be divided in this way. I think of them as young boys walking behind their mum's coffin, and feel really sad for them that they have lost the mutual support that they once had.

Of course, none of us really know the ins and outs of what has gone on behind closed doors. What has been said and done, and by whom. Who is really at fault. It's entirely possible that they are beyond the point of reconciliation. I hope not, though.

Anothernamechangeplease · 17/09/2022 19:00

That's not too say that I think they should come back though. Not if they don't want to.

Harry didn't choose to be born Royal, and he should absolutely have the right to walk away. I would just like to think that they could do their own thing without all of the animosity that seems to have arisen. It must be terribly sad for all of them.

SpiderinaWingMirror · 17/09/2022 19:05

For the love of God.
I am no royalist. Prince Harry had a childhood dominated by being photographed daily on the school run.
He has clearly been told thar he is not needed in the slimmed down Royal Family. I hope him, his wife and kids have a lovely life in the States.

elizaregina · 17/09/2022 19:05

Back into his life yes.

TokyoSushi · 17/09/2022 19:08

I think he'll 'let' them live in the US if that's what they want. I also think there will be less of the 'Harry's not allowed to do this because he's not a working Royal.' For example I think he'll be allowed in military dress on Monday if that's what he wants rather than having to wear a suit as some sort of punishment.

Mosso · 17/09/2022 19:12

Nah.

Hargan will be keeping copious notes on every perceived slight for their next book.

elizaregina · 17/09/2022 19:16

Tokyo I hope so!!

He's been treated appallingly and cast out alongside Dodgy Andrew?
I really hope Charles makes every possible effort to appease him and bring him into the family and more importantly for Harry's children to understand the heritage they share.

"Horribly conceited"??

How has he been treated appallingly?

He left & was initially financially supported by his father!

DillDanding · 17/09/2022 19:23

I hope Harry and Meghan stay away. Not because I don’t like them, I do. But because I think they have done the right thing to escape the awfulness of life in the UK as part of that bloody family.

PeekAtYou · 17/09/2022 19:25

We are currently seeing a ceasefire but it will be business as usual after the funeral imo.

Charles' first speech was very clear. The Sussexes were wished love and happiness in their life overseas.

antelopevalley · 17/09/2022 19:29

They left three years ago. I see no sign of them wanting to return. Charles, William and Catherine will have more engagements to do now the Queen has gone. I am sure they would appreciate the help. But maybe they just all need to step up and do as many engagements as Anne.

I hope so too. It seems incredibly unfair that Harry should somehow be relegated to the same status as Andrew. Whatever you might think about him sharing stuff with the media, he has done nothing remotely on a par what Andrew has done. The two are not comparable.

Andrew is a disgrace. Harry has just fallen out with his family.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 17/09/2022 20:11

No. That book is going to make things even worse.

LidlMiddleLover · 17/09/2022 20:17

I really really hope not We don’t need any more spoilt toddlers to pay for.

I agree with you. I just think it's all very regrettable and hope that this week helps them to reconcile.

Raddix · 17/09/2022 20:19

If Harry is allowed back in there will be mutterings about a republic. People won’t stand for it.

I think very similarly to this.
