I've been wondering about this all week.

What do people think? Would William want that ? Would Kate?

Powerful forces such as…?

Hopefully not. I personally think the interviews, tell alls and books are unforgivable. My family wouldn’t forgive that if it was done to us.

What do you think of Charles TV interview where he tells all and criticises the Queen's parenting?

Novella4 · 17/09/2022 21:35

@SirChenjins
Are you really that clueless ?

Badger1970 · 17/09/2022 21:36

I hope not.

TitoMojito · 17/09/2022 21:37

I thought you meant the shop and I was like if he could bring the one that shut down back in my town that would be fab yeah 😂

Evidently - so do enlighten me on the nature of the dark, powerful, satanic forces at work here.

We are currently seeing a ceasefire but it will be business as usual after the funeral imo.

Charles' first speech was very clear. The Sussexes were wished love and happiness in their life overseas.

Yep, this is a ceasefire. William and Harry are 'getting on well' now because they have to, and they want to present a united front to the world.

Within a week, Harry and Meghan will go back off to their life in America. As the above poster said, Charles made it very clear that he wished them the best.... with their life overseas.

They will not come back. Meghan will absolutely 100% not come back to this country. As long as Harry and Meghan are together, he will stay there. They will not return as a couple and make merry with the Royals. And I doubt they will be arsed with her after all the accusations she hurled during that ghastly Oprah interview.

BreadInCaptivity · 17/09/2022 21:48

If I was W I would hope that in time, he and H could reconcile but I don't see any hope of that with H&M still deeply "invested" in monitising the RF connection.

Ultimately whilst H&M stick with their game plan, W&C simply can't allow them back in their orbit - would anyone if they faced the risk of every conversation/encounter being sold for profit?

I understand why H&M wanted a different life, but imho they have made poor choices in how they accomplish that. They both strike me as impulsive and quick to feel victimised whilst simultaneously unable to reflect on the hurt they cause to others.

Fundamentally I don't think much will change. H&M will go back to the US (with more content in the bag to peddle re: HMQ's death and funeral) and the RF will retain their narrative of varying recollections and keep H&M at arms length, whilst publicly expressing their love.

Wisteriaroundthedoor · 17/09/2022 21:48

There is no “bringing them back, they want money and stardom, not to play second fiddle to William and Kate, and until they know Money and stardom isn’t theirs, they will come back of their own accord, right now, They will stay put,

Coronateachingagain · 17/09/2022 22:02

They CONTINUE to build their lives in America. Thanks be to God.

Yeah @SirChenjins I am wondering what these dark powerful forces are too.

Samcro · 17/09/2022 22:21

I hope that they all manage to find middle ground and move on. The rf need to stop throwing H&am under the bus every time they need a scapegoat

asblindasabat · 17/09/2022 22:29

When did harry return to the UK? Has he been here since the Jubilee in June?

had he seen the Queen before she passed away?

cinnabongene · 17/09/2022 22:33

Unlike many, I understood his speech as closing the door on them. They’ve chosen a life in America - don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

asblindasabat · 17/09/2022 22:34

It’s sad in a way. It’s a shame Harry and Meghan aren’t living here with them.

do they come visit regularly or once in a blue moon?

Y7drama · 17/09/2022 22:39

in the slimmed down monarchy, what would Harry’s role have been if he’d stayed?

Janesdufflecoat · 17/09/2022 22:40

Seeing the 4 of them at Windsor made me feel quite sad actually!

Sad for the opportunities lost I guess, I think the 4 of them together could have been such a force for good!

KentuckyDerbyandJoan · 17/09/2022 22:42

BlueKaftan · 17/09/2022 18:48

Of course not. They are happy with their lives in America. Leave them be.

Err ‘happy’ is not a word I would associate with H&M.

Exactly.

Charles is coming across as quite an emotional and sentimental man since the Queen died, and it makes me wonder what's going on behind closed doors.

This is what I thought! I believe H&M are being tolerated while they are here to mourn the queen and out of respect for the queen. They are also being " involved" so that they then can't run off back to the states and sell their story about how terribly they were treated while here. I believe the king loves his son and does a good job of pretending to like Meghan for the sake of his relationship with Harry and his grandchildren, the rest of the family not so much! Once all this is over they will jump on the first plane back to the USA and all out warfare will begin again!

LondonWolf · 17/09/2022 23:02

Answering the OP, I think he is yes, not as working royals but certainly he seems to be wanting to swing back public opinion if them to a more positive position. I suppose most loving parents would want that, but also "keep your enemies closer" and all that.

CaptainBarbosa · 17/09/2022 23:04

Exactly.

Death can sometimes trigger "perspective"

He's in his 70's if he's lucky he has another 20ish years left, he probably doesn't want to spend that in some sort of loggerhead with his son.

Charles loves his children, like any parent would. I think he just wants to move on from it all. He wants his son to be happy, and if that's with Meghan in the USA then so be it. Sometimes it's worth just letting sleeping dogs lie, and accepting it graciously and with love.

Freebeee · 17/09/2022 23:35

H&M is a bit low budget for royalty I think......

Jasminejoy · 17/09/2022 23:37

Harry and Meghan are grown ups with children and their own life in the US.

They will quite rightly go back to that after the funeral.

My heart went out to Meghan to see her so uncomfortable on the walkabout last week. She's a human, really nervous about the public reaction. I would have been shitting myself.

I'm sure they will both want to return to their family life ASAP after all of this.

That's a mean comment.

Come on. Really?? That's just bullying.
