I've been wondering about this all week.

What do people think? Would William want that ? Would Kate?

@Samcro , no apparently my language crossed into a personal attack, you can't say get in your box !

It even to jack
😎

smilesy · 22/09/2022 19:42

@HannaHanna thanks! As you say,‘ I only mentioned it in reply to another poster’s complaints. Then it all got a bit out of hand…

queenofarles · 22/09/2022 19:43

Roussette sadly it’s there , ive just skimmed the thread, the original post has been deleted but the user name is visible , and then several times over .

@Samcro 🤣🤣🤣🤣

HannaHanna · 22/09/2022 20:42

Maybe you can say "I think you should get back in your box." because that is just an opinion. 😂

I would honestly laugh. This forum is one of the most toxic places on the internet. This RF one in particular. As someone who likes Meghan I always get attacked. I wouldn't take it personally in RL I would actually laugh - because you have to be Barking if you can just casually use such language. I've had thoughts about just lurking again.

I know exactly what you mean. So many spiteful people on here churning out toxic rubbish and even downright lying.
It's really awful. Sometimes lurking and not posting is the best option.

Oh and I do photograph my own posts every now and then, in case it gets conveniently deleted 😅 so I can compare the application of the rule of law to myself versus to other more interesting posters than me.

StormzyinaTCup · 23/09/2022 00:42

coronateachingagain I don’t doubt you tbh (although credit where it’s due, the investment of man hours from some quarters is to be commended🫢!)

I am not sure but as someone who is pro Meghan I would say the same about antiMeghan posters- I know Rousette posts fairly about Meghan, but I have also seen fair posts about other members of the RF from her. She's not an aggressive poster - she just gives her opinion which of course is usually not the same as others because people don't like Meghan on these boards.

I am yet to see aggressive pro Meghan posters to be honest. If they have been around I personally have not seen it or been part of it.

Snog · 23/09/2022 05:39

There are loads of deletions applied to aggressive pro M posters

I have only seen anti Meghan posts just pull anything from the air and post it making up whatever they want along the way. MN should tackle that behaviour. A forum for mothers trashing another mum and making up malicious lies about another mother. This website has stooped so low just for traffic - it's pathetic.

Arbesque · 23/09/2022 07:13

Pro or anti Meghan???

What does that mean?

Whatever she does you criticise her?
Whatever she does you praise her?

No wonder it's impossible to have a balanced discussion.

DFOD · 23/09/2022 07:23

I find interesting how the pro MM posters turn themselves inside out and make up their own excuses for her (African American pre wedding tradition, Mandela thing) when now POC, the Mandela family, the progressive liberal reputable media in U.K. and US (Guardian, Washington Post, CNN, The New Yorker, The New York Times etc) are reporting negatively on her actions and behaviors.

Why?

I have no idea why some people can't/won't see the negative and want to say it's all about race and nothing else.

If you are interested in why people behave as they do (as I am) I'll provide another example which cannot be called on a race line and that is Nicola Pelz and the Beckham family. It has striking similarities, it's nothing to do with race and everything to do with actions and behaviour.

Samcro · 23/09/2022 07:43

i see one of those posters from way back is suddenly around to bash Rousette.... what a coincidence .

Coronateachingagain · 23/09/2022 07:51

Oh @Samcro you reminded me conspiracy stories are another tactic too. But may I remind you, lurkers never go away 👀 I just don't have as much time or interest to focus constantly on replies - I have a job!

And there are many many American women of colour in entertainment and politics that are greatly admired, revered and respected by sensible people on both sides of the pond and are covered positively by the sensible main stream press (not by vile SM, tabloids or right wing press)

If this is solely a misogynist race agenda why are all of these American women of colour not scrutinised unfairly for their actions and behaviours by progressive liberal media and (the sane) general public?

Farmerazza · 23/09/2022 08:06

Actually Mandela's granddaughter recently spoke positively about her and harry.
Name a few WOC who aren't attacked -
More recently The Little Mermaid - grown men crying about how a fictional character is being played by a brown girl. Since when do grown men care about the little mermaid.?

There are forums and Facebook groups with thousands of members against a black little mermaid.

The discussions will never be balanced.
It's just two groups of people who love / hate her.
You personally won't see me on any Andrew threads - I have no time or respect.

Right! What a way to get rid of someone who posts positively about Meghan. I've also been told to consider a hiatus.

Many posters neither love or hate her. You just can't seem to accept that.

Exactly this. It’s a nonsense. Oprah for example is black yet is held in high regard in general.

It’s a dangerous world where if someone isn’t white they aren’t held accountable for their actions. I am not keen on her but I can see the other side of the argument too, depending on the situation. Those posters who think she can literally do no wrong seem unable to look at any othe point of view objectively.

Exactly. Screaming racist or hater at anyone who makes any kind of criticism of Meghan is a form of censorship.

Personally I can totally understand Meghan finding life in England strange and the strictures and traditions of Royal life frustrating and at times ridiculous. I can sympathise with her desire to run for the hills.

I think some of her decisions since then have been ill judged, and it is sad to see Harry so at odds with his family.

Does that make me racist or a Meghan hater?
Or a detached observer?

Great post.

It’s a silencing tactic
