What’s likely to be cancelled?

Do I bother travelling 10 hours this weekend (5 hours each way) to take dc to a fairly niche sporting event? It’s the national championship. How likely do you think it is that it’ll be cancelled following the death of the Queen? I need to leave by midday tomorrow.

Have you checked the event's Twitter feed/Facebook page? People are being relatively quick to get updates out about what is and isn't being cancelled.

I don’t think much will be cancelled. A lot of people are anti-monarchy, so it’s easier to say ‘she’d want you to carry on’ than have people protesting about things being cancelled.

Yes Tour of Britain cycle race is cancelled Friday and announcement to follow about the Saturday and Sunday stages of the race.

Quite a bit IMO. Remembrance Sunday wouldn't be cancelled in a period of national mourning, anything else - possibly.

I'm at the great north run on Sunday. Didn't really occur to me if it would be cancelled or not.

Football will be cancelled. Some matches have announced postponements for tomorrow stating it’s the football leagues decision so can’t see any matches going ahead this weekend.

Cricket test match has been suspended. Although weather would probably have stopped it anyway for tomorrow at least.

That was only because they were European matches and the opposition teams & fans had already travelled so it was too late to cancel.
